Describe, in detail, the setting of your book. Where and when does the story take place?  How do you know?
If the story took place somewhere else or in a different time, how would the plot change?

Make sure you include book title, author and current page number. Do not forget to comment on two classmates post.

I'm currently reading Sign OF The Twisted Candles page 168. The story takes place in Bess's grandfather's haunted mansion. I know this because it say so on page 151. If this book took place somewhere else it wouldn't really make sense. Unless it was in a maze.

m reading Dorothy must die by Danielle Paige, and I am on page 15. The story takes place in a southern area but the school is full of drama. I know this is taken place in the southern area because the character lives in a trailer home and usually trailer homes are found in the southern area or a low income city. If the story was taken in a different time the plot would be a whole different because for example if the story was taken place during 1812 the drama and conflict would not have happen and messed up the entire book.

I am reading the Lord of the Flies by William Golding I am on page 147. The setting is on an on island, with savage children. If the setting took place any where else the entire plot would change. They are on an island and if they were not on an island they would have not resulted to being savages. If it took place in a different time it might be the same because there would be no form of communication to the outer world.

I finished reading Seeker by Arwen Dayton. They never really stated the time period but I know it takes place in Scotland because it mentions it in the book as well as describing the geography as very plain like and hilly. Also they do show maps of Scotland too. I believe that it's in the past because they kept showing maps. If it was in the future they probably would mot be using swords.

The book I'm reading is Scorpia Rising by Anthony Horowitz, and I am on page 201. The setting of my story is a modern day Britain. The author shows that it is modern because of the details he includes about the area. There was one part where Alex, the main character, goes to a Manchester United soccer game with a billionaire who owns a hotel in space. Also, most of Alex's missions start in Britain, and he returns back to Britain near the end.

I am currently Reading The Victorious story of Eric Legrand by Mike Yorkey and on page 142.The setting of my story is at The University of Rutgers.I know this because Eric mostly eats and sleeps football. Also in the book he repeatedely mentions how he loves the Rutgers football academy because they give him so much love and support. If the story was at Michigan or another college it would be very peculiar because hes thanking Rutgers even though hes at Michigan.

My favorite book that I read is The Raft by S.A. Bodeen. This is my favorite because it is an action/adventure book that is very interesting. Action/ adventure books are my favorite types of book to read because most of them keep you on the edge of your seat. The book is basically about a girl who gets in a plane crash and makes it onto a raft. She then must do her best on trying to get help and surviving. Not many books keep me interested, but this one did.
