I am reading son by Lois Lowry and I am on page 19. The thing that I am loving about my book is that it is very unique and detailed, i have never read a book like it. The thing that i dislike about my book is that it is very slow i still haven't met and other characters. I am not very far into my book but the author takes her time to explain everything. The project i am planning on doing is symbols in a bag.

I am reading scat by Carl Hiaasen, I am on page 5. The one thing I like about my book is the mystery, although I am on page 5 the back of the book told me a lot about the book. The summary was so good I wanted to jump out my seat. The project I am going to do for this one is the things in the box like I did for the other project.

I am currently reading the book "It's kind of a funny story" by Ned Vizzini. I am currently on page 23. The things I like about this book is that it's about the author's teenage life and that it tells the modern truth, with some interesting stories about the author's life. However, the things i don't like about the book is that it's kind of depressing in the fact that the main character is suicidal and the book starts off slow. The project I think I will do is either a wanted poster or items in a bag.

jwinfrey5 said...

@kherring2 I wish all books were like that.

jwinfrey5 said...

@erowland4 My book has a slow start too.

I am reading the book where men win glory. By Jon Krakauer. So far this book has been really good. this book reminds me of when my grandpa talks about Vietnam. it reminds me of this because he told me that the government covers up a lot of stuff that happens over seas. this also happens in the book when the government covers up that the main character was killed by friendly fire, but they said that he was killed by enemies.i will do the symbols in a bag project for this book.

I am currently reading, Famous last Words, by Katie Alender, and i'm on page 30. I love everything about this book so far. It is suspicious, and very exciting. Also full if mysteries, that i love. For my mini project i plan to do a wanted poster.

i am currently reading Divergent and im on page 124. the part of the book i am loving is how strong tris becomes within a short period of time. the part of the book i do not love is how the are killing people like her. the mini project i am going to do is the plot timeline because is it easy to remember all of the events in the story, also the book has a good climax. i also might do the wanted poster though.

kcox6 said...

@reparent

I am currently on page 107 of I Remember You by Cathleen Bell. I am loving the fact that Lucas and Juliet are getting along really well even though he has I gift that can be really frightening. He knows absolutely every event, good or bad, that is going to happen in their relationship. I am not loving however how Juliet’s best friend’s boyfriend is mean and then he apologizes and is forgiven. For the mini-project I am choosing to do is the character emails.

snolen6 said...

That sounds like a really good book.

I am reading Gravediggers by Christopher Krovatin and I am on page 26. The thing I like about this book is how creepy it is. There is nothing I don't like in this book yet. The mini project I am going to do this nine weeks is symbols in a bag because I got a 100 on the last project.

My book that I'm reading is called Game Changers, and I'm on page 150.So far I like the book and enjoy reading it. Ben is hearing a lot about another point guard that's really good. And he finds an antagonist in Chase Braggs, because he loves to brag about himself to Ben. The project I plan on doing is plot timeline, because it's going to show what ben accomplished.

The book that I am reading is “Easy”, by Tammara Webber. I am currently on page 29. I’m loving how Jackie’s friends are coming up with a plan to get Jackie to get out into the dating world again. Also I love when Jackie is exchanging emails with London Maxfield. London Maxfield is her tutor because she missed 2 weeks due to her horrible break-up. But while emailing her tutor, she noticed a flirty tone in the messages. Which I find absolutely hilarious. For my mini project, I think I’ll do the plot timeline, because there so much information/dramatic parts in the book.

nmccleese1 said...

@DDaneils2, sounds interesting. if you're only on page 5 and you already want to jump out of your seat, it should be worth the read.

@eerowland4, sounds like an amazing book.

The book I am currently reading is called Backlash by Sarah Darer Littman and I’m on page 30. So far, in this book I love the fact that this story is not one that many authors choose to write about. However, just like in every story it has a big life lesson. At this point in the book, I’m planning on doing the character emails because that seems the easiest. There is a major conflict in this book and I feel that I could provide a ton of details between the 5+ emails.

Awe that sounds super sweet!

The book I am currently reading is "Its Kind of a Funny Story" by Ned Vizzini and I am currently on page 167. The things that I love about this book is how meaningful it is. By that I mean is when the author wrote this book he really went into to detail about how the character felt and what he was dealing with. This book gives you a really good view on how someone else might feel dealing with problems they face.
The project I am going to be doing for this book is going to be a wanted poster because this book makes a good opportunity to do so. Its a really good book and I am loving it so far.

Nvance5 said...

@ZGano5 That's what my book is like also

@kcox6 I loved that series.

I am currently reading 39 close by Rick Roidan. I am on the 121st page. There is nothing really bad about this book accept the fact that there is nothing but dialogue and no narration. on the good side, there is a lot of suspense and action. For my mini project I will be doing a wanted poster again.

jhardy5 said...

Hey. Ive read that book before. It will really crack you up.

The book I'm currently reading is Legacy of Lies (Dark Secrets 1) by Elizabeth Chandler and I'm on page 100. What I'm loving about the book is the mystery of her dreams. She's had many dreams of this old house that she's never been to and now she's there in person but excuses her dreams as just seeing the house in pictures. What I don't love about this book is the coldness her grandmother has towards her because she is adopted. I feel that is unfair but it might be very important to the plot later. The mini project I plan on doing is the timeline. I think that will work best for the book.

sbell4 said...

@ZGano5 I love that book! I read it last year and it's great. Character emails is a smart choice

sbell4 said...

@dnazario2 that sounds like a very interesting book. I like stories like that

I'm reading Rebel McKenzie, i am on page 154 and the author is Candice F. Ransom. I don't like that it is about how superficial pageant girls are, considering I am one. I like that there are more picture than words most of the time. I am not doing my mini-project on this book, I already finished my mini-project for the most part though. I am doing it on Dork Dairies, and I'm doing a plot timeline.

jdaies2 said...

I am currently reading A Thunderous Whisper by Christina Diaz Gonzalez and on page 14. In my book the little girl from Spain gets picked at all the time, they call her sardine girl. They call her this because her mom sells sardines the size of peoples foot which reeks. What I am not loving is that she gets picked at everyday about how she smells its really mean. But I love that she is from Spain because she has a really cool accent. For my mini project I was thinking that i would do symbols in a bag because i have some really cool stuff from Spain. Also I could get some sardines and use that as a symbol.

I am reading The Catcher in the Rye by J.D Salinger. I just got it so I'm only on page 31. So far I love it because it is a classic book, so I thought it was going to be boring, but the way it is written makes the dialogue interesting for me. It also has a good plot so I think that it will make a good mini-project. The language used in the book is not too advanced, so it makes it easy to read. I'm going to do a plot timeline for The Catcher in the Rye.

shernandez6 said...

@csnelson how do you know she has an accent if it's a boook???

@kcox6 thats good, but dont get too attatched to Tris though!!! She dies at the end of the third book!11!! Lol!

I am currently reading Yellowfang's Secret by Erin Hunter and I am on page 458. What I'm loving about this book is the slow suspense and the insanity of the character: Brokenstar. In the story, Brokentail is strong and ambitious, and there's a prophecy saying that "Fire and blood will destroy the clans". Which happens in the series once Brokenstar takes control, he starts training newborns to do high-level training. The Mini-Project I'm going to do with this book is the wanted poster because near the end of the story, Yellowfang is framed for killing two kits.

The book I am reading is called "No way out" by Peggy Kern. I am currently on page 20. The thing that I like about my book is that the things that happen in this book is the actual things that people go through in real life. Like for example when someone's mom or dad don't have any money to cloth their children in decent stuff. Or when someone's mom or dad pass away and they don't have any family members to stay with so they have to be placed in foster care. The thing I don't like about my book is that it's a sad book. But for the mini project I am going to do a plot diagram because it has very interesting things that happen each day.

The book i amreading is called alive and kicking. I am on page 9 and the authoor is Chris Lynch. I am loving the fact that the plot is interesting. This book is awsome and i recomend it to history people. I am going to a plot timemline for my book since it has a lot of dates.

My book is Jackpot by Gordon Korman. I’m currently on page 101. So far what I’m loving about this book is that it gives you clues about things and you have to put things together to figure out certain things in the book. I’m choosing to do the Plot Timeline for my mini project because it’s easy and basic.

I am currently reading Flush by Carl Hiaasen and i am on page 137.
I don't really like what the story is about. People say its supposed to be funny but its kind of boring. This story is about how Noah's dad got arrested for dumping toilet water into the basin. But so far the story has been written very well. For my mini project i might do a timeline or the symbols in a bag.

The current book I am reading is "Wonder" by R.J. Palacio, and I'm on page 19. I love how realistic this book is and how situations like this are very possible. The mini-project I plan on doing for this book is either the items in a bag or the plot timeline. So much has happened in my book already and I feel like the plot timeline would be a good one to do. There are many main events.
