I'm reading Big Game by Dan Smith.I am on page 133. I would take place of Oskari because he has the role of hunting on his thirteenth birthday. I would take his place because it sounds fun and I hunt. I think it would be fun to do even though I am already thirteen going on fourteen.

The book I am currently reading is the underdogs and the author is Mike Lupica and I am on page 107. If I had a choice to take place of one character of the book I would choose Will Tyler. I would choose Will because he is great at football and he is very fast. Another reason why I would choose Will is because he is a smart and humble guy and he doesn’t complain about things. Will is a great sport and he always cheers his team on even when they are losing and he hypes them up to win. Those are my reasons why I would want to take Will place.

The book i am currently reading is "Pretty Ugly" by Karyn Langhorne Folan. I am currently on page 144. If i had a choice to take place of one character of the book i would choose Darcey. I would choose Darcey because she is really smart she make all "A's" and she dont get into any drama. She also is very popular like everybody in the whole school know her,and the thing that i like about her is that she choose her friends wisely ,like she dont wanna hang out with negative people. She only like to hang out with positive people that wanna to be somebody in the future.

I am currently reading Legend by Marie Lu and I am on page 175. If I had to take the place of one character in my book, it would be Tess. This is because Tess is a fighter, but she isn’t so involved in the fighting to your death kind of thing. She also likes to stay back and help the main character, Day when something bad happens. Compared to June and Day, who are violent and reckless, Tess is a character where she tries not to get involved too much to avoid drama.

zberroa1 That book seems interesting

My book is Pearl Wars by Nick James I am on page #150. The character I would take place of would be Cassius because he is part of a government special ops and also because he has to travel to places to gather pearls which are a very big energy source.

The book that I am currently reading is "The Testing" By Joelle Charbonneau. If I were to take the place of one of the characters in my book it would be David. The reason I would choose this is because he is an official who does not have to take the horrible tests an help people who are in them succeed.

nvance5 said...

@mdinh6 I loved that entire series they were so good!

@abpugh5 The main character in you book sounds interesting.

The book I'm reading is Moth Flight's Vision by Erin Hunter. I'm on page 280. I would take the place of Micah. He is a character who just died from falling off of a rotten tree branch and breaking his spine. I would take his place because I would see the fall coming and try to land carefully. He would be saved and be able to go home to his new wife and kids, but in my opinion he died too soon.

svhernandez6 said...

@nvance5 What is the testing about, is it like a death test or something? Like the Hunger Games. What makes it terrible, and who is David?

I am reading "Dead City" by James Ponti. And I have recently just finished my book. If I was able to re-place a character in my book I would re-place, Molly Bigelow. I would have loved to re-place her. Because I would be able to experience killing zombies and having cool gadgets to fight them off with.

I'm reading "The Blood Of Olympus" by Rick Riordan and am on page 356. If I was able to replace a person in my book I would pick Leo because he died and was brought back to life by a dragon he made. Honestly I would just like to have demigod powers and fight monsters. He also seems the most obvious to replace because half of the time he is off in dreamland thinking about monsters, machines and his girlfriend back on a island that every man that goes there can only go there once in their life.He also has flame powers that let him light himself on fire, shoot fireballs, and weld things back together.

DSanchez said...

svhernandez6

That would be a good thing to do, but isn't that book about cats.

DSanchez said...

That sounds like a cool book to read with the zombies and stuff.

The book i just finished is called Finally by Wendy Mass. If i had to be a character in this book it would be Annabelle. Annabelle is the main characters best friend. I chose her over the main character because the main character is a mess. Annabelle is very smart and is very good with hair and makeup. It would be different to be in her shoes.

My book is called Dork Diaries Tales from a Not-So Dorky Drama Queen and I’m on page 86. If I had to take the place of a character in my book it would have to be Mackenzie Hollister. I would take place of Mackenzie so I could change her rude attitude she constantly has towards Nikki. Mackenzie also is a ccp(cute, cool, popular) in the book. Her and all her ccp’s are rude so I would take Mackenzie’s place and change her whole life.

The book I’m reading is Prisoner of Night and Fog by Anna Blankman and I’m on page 323. A characters place I would take is Gretchen Muller who is the main character. She goes through so much and she has to choose who to love and who to be with. She has to choose between what she’s always believed and what her heart tells her. That is who I would choose.

The book I am reading is Treasure Hunters: Secret of the Forbidden City. The author is James Patterson. I'm currently on page 252. If I were to take the place of any character in my book it would Bick. I would take his place because he is the only one out of the Treasure Hunters that believes his day is alive. Another reason why is I would want to be in Bicks place is because I want to hunt for treasure and get rich. The last reason I would want to be this character is so I could find lost treasure and have a town parade for me.

Also, he doesn't have to deal with the responsibilities of school and getting a job. Also, he doesn't have to drink human blood to stay alive.

I have finished the book The Boy Who Dared by Susan Campbell Bartoletti. If i had to take on the life of one of the characters from the book I would most likely choose Helmut Hubener the main protagonist of the book. Helmut Hubener is a simple person and one of many school children that are apart of Hitlers youth. I would mainly choose him because of the way he looks at the socialist injustice way of treating the others such as minorities and people with different beliefs than the socialist party. I also feel like our ways of thinking and perspective of the situation would almost be identical.

I am reading The Rise of Nine the author is Pittacus Lore and i am finished with the book. I i were to take any of the characters places in the story it would be number nine. This quote says "nine stops the bullet with mind just inches away from his nose." This quote stays that Nine has the power of a telapafic mind. This is a power that I would love to have so dont have to get up and do stuff.

Daniel X by James Patterson and I am done with the book. And if I had to take the place of one character it would be Daniel. One reason is because he is an alien with super powers now how cool is that. Second he has the power to create anything he wants, image that power because basically he has all the powers.last reason is you can do anything you want. since his parents are dead he can create them back with is cool.

She also volunteers at an amazing pet rescue place and I love pets!

If had to take place of one of the character it would be Greg because he the main character and I would like to be the main character. Greg is kind of like me he make mistakes but turns back around and make them up. And Greg has crazy family plus a bully for a brother, I have a sister for a bully and a crazy family to sometimes I can relate to the wimpy books. That’s why would choose Greg for my character because I can relate myself to him and how his family act.

I am reading Thoedore Boone by John Grisham and i am on page 35. If i could replace any character I would replace Thoe because there are a couple of things that i would do differently to stay out of trouble. I wouldn't try to sneak into a court while there is an active trial happening because i would get caught by the police. In the book Theo's parents are lawyers and if i was Theo then I wouldn't want to do anything that would get in trouble. I also wouldn't want to sneak into any information that parents have about someone elses case. Theo does a lot of risky things in the book and i wouldn't do any of that because it involves with the law

I was reading "Public School Superhero", By James Patterson, but I finished it. I would take the place of Kenneth Wright. I would take his place because his is the main character. Also, he is a very dynamic character, because he has many emotions. He seems closest to a real human-being as a story character can be. Most of the characters are static and are just there to fill in the story.

The book I'm reading is called Throwing Strikes by R.A. Dickey. I am on page 77 and if I could be any character I would be R.A. The reason is because he has the same determination as a pitcher and is very athletic. I also chose him because he is a baseball player and has to overcome many challenges in his life. Things such as his mom being a drunk and his dad isolating him are just the start. In college, he meets Peyton Manning, the starting quarterback at the time, which would've been awesome.

Book: Smoked Author: Mari Mancusi Page: 275

If I could take the place of any character in this book it would be Connor, the 'Glorious dragon-slayer' Why would I like to take his place in the book, for starters he kills two of the three characters I really care about, and just all around he does many things that disrupt the happiness of the characters. However the main reason is he gets healed by Zoe, the dragon and when he comes out of his hospital bed, he decides that he was going to complete his mission because things had gotten out of hand, so he kills Zoe moments later and attempts to kill her brother Zavier. Gee what a great guy (sarcasm) If I took his place I could prevent all of this and smack some sense into some of the other characters who are complete morons.

My book is The Night Gardener by Jonathan Auxier and I am finished reading. If I had to switch places with one character from the book it would be a girl named Penny. She is a light-hearted, adventurous, little girl who wants to play but can get serious at times. I would want to be her because she has fun and don’t like brothers, like I do. Even though their family was in a trace, she still reminds herself and doesn’t have to go through that fully. That’s who I’ll be if I switch places with a character.

I am reading the lightning thief by Rick Riordan and am on page 56. If I could switch places with a character in my book I would pick Grover. I would pick Grover because he is best friends with the main character Percy Jackson and because he is a satyrs. A satyrs is a Greek creature with the torso and head of a human but from the waist down is a goat. I would switch places with Grover because I personally think it would be cool to have goat legs but still live in the normal world. Grover has all the perks of being human and all the perks of being a mythical creature. I am sure that most people reading this book would want to be the main character Percy Jackson, but I would not want to be him because he seems to of had a very hard life and has always been kept in the dark about who he is.

Everyone adores him and he doesn't seem to have any family members who have died or is dying from The Plague. Even though she died, I would prefer to be her. She can carelessly sit up in the Queens Room and wait for the Time is Right to Appear to Jenna. Jenna has no idea that her mother’s ghost is in there. Everyone else doesn’t have it so easy though. Most people are running around and always have a problem.

Especially the main character Scooty, when I read the brief summary on the back of the book it sounds like Scooty goes through horrible things. For an example her brother goes in a coma and someone died that she was just getting to know. So, so far there is not anyone I would I want to be in there position.

I have not yet started my new book Rangers Apprentice, but my last book Were World Rage of lions by Curtis Jobling which I have finished at page 407. If i had to be a character in my last book it would be the main character's father Wergar. I would be Wergar because he had a great life as a king of Lysia and had a ring and a sword barring a wolf head or face which is pretty cool. Wergar was killed in a fire so that is a negative to my choice of character because he wasn't the only one to suffer the death by fire because all his kids but one, Drew had also died in the fire. Werger must have felt like a failure as a father unable to save his children and protect them.

I am Reading scat by Carl Hiaasen, and I am currently on page 2 and if I had to choose a character form the book I would chose mrs.Scarch because first she is a teacher and teacher can tell children what to do and make there life miserable with homework and I get to call on the people that are not raising there hand. Also she’s smart because all but most teachers are very smart.

The book I am reading is Kingdom Keepers by Ridley Pearson and I am on page 48. If there is anybody in the book I would switch places with, it would be the main character, Finn Whitman. I haven’t gotten that far in the book, but I would just say this. Can you imagine being able to take part in a breakthrough on hologram technology and be a host at Disney World at the same time, while also getting benefits from it, like complimentary passes for you and your family? Could you imagine how awesome it would be?

ARossi2 said...

@DDaniels4 It is amazing how your on page 2 and yet know a lot about a person in the book.

@nmccleese1 Great view on the character you have.

I just started reading My Fair Godmother by Janette Rallinson. I am on page 23.
The character that I would take place of is Jane, because her sister got dumped and she didn't. But Jane also did something really stupid that I don't agree with. She dated her sisters boyfriend after he dumped her sister. So, Savannah ended up really hurt and that hurt Jane and Savannah's relationship. So, I chose Jane because she ended up happy and with the guy. Also, she hurt her younger sister along the way. Kind of good and bad.

I'm reading the Midnight Library I Can See You by Damien Graves pg 16. If I could be any character in this book I'd be Michael. Michael is a independent farm kid and I have a connection because I mind my business just like him. He doesnt speak to people much either just like I don't. These are the reasons why I would want to be Michael.

Abennett6 said...

@Wdyke sounds like a good book.

@arodriguez6 I wouldn't want to be in that book either.

I am currently reading I Remember You by Cathleen Bell and I am on page 76. If I had to choose one person to take the place of it would be Juliet. Juliet is in high school and she seems like she is very happy and has minimal problems. She has a best friend that trusts her with her life very many people who love her. This is why I would have to choose Juliet to take the place of.

SNolen6 said...

MBowman4
That is probably the place I would have chosen in the book as well.

The current book I am now reading is The Missing: Book 1 FOUND by Margaret Peterson Haddix and I am on page 15. If I had to choose from what I know of now, I'd probably be Chip. Chip seems like the companion to the protagonist so far into this book while they're both adopted and still young. Being as he is, in a book, I'd rather be a funny cool side character rather than some stuck up main character. Also, the name Chip gives off a casual vibe.

I am currently reading The Death Cure by James Dashner and on page 35.If i had to take the place of someone in the book it would be Thomas.I would choose Thomas because he is really brave he shows this when he stands up to wicked. Also he is very loyal he never leaves his friends behind in the maze also when wicked tried to take them he never left a friend behind. Also he could have just joined wicked but he decided to stay with his friends and not be a traitor.

I am currently reading the book “Thirteen Reasons Why” by Jay Asher and I am almost finished with the fifth chapter. If I had to take the place of one character in this book, I would probably choose to take the place of one of the main characters, Hannah Baker. So far in this book, the main character, Clay, received a mysterious package filled with cassette tapes and a marked map of the town he lives in. Not knowing who the tapes are from or why he has them, he decides to play them to get a clue. He soon finds out that the person behind the tapes is Hannah Baker, his longtime crush and most recent suicide victim. The purpose of the tapes is basically to take the form of a long suicide note, except it is more directed towards certain people who will later receive the tapes. In the tapes, Hannah states that whoever receives the tapes has had a major impact on her life. However, Clay is confused because he thought Hannah didn’t even know he existed, so how could he have possibly impacted her life? Although Hannah did commit suicide, if I had to take the place of a character in this book I would take her place due to the fact that she no longer has to suffer through all of the difficulties she was facing before. Also, every other main character in this book so far seems miserable, and I would rather be at peace than in misery. The author also makes her seem very pretty and smart through indirect quotes and dialogue between other characters. Therefore, I would choose to take the place of Hannah Baker.

The book I’m reading is called “The Battle of Labyrinth” of Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan and I’m on page 263. If I had to take the place of one character in my book, I would take place of Annabeth. She is main character Percy’s best friend, and she likes adventures. I would like to take place of her basically because compared to Percy, she doesn’t get into a lot of troubles, and she likes to and often goes on the quests. She is brave and smart and likes to build things since she wants to be an architect when she grows up. Also, she lives in San Francisco with her dad when she’s not in Camp Half-Blood. I think it would be fun to live in San Francisco and go on adventures and quests. These are why I would choose Annabeth as the character I want to take place of.

@jdaies2 Your character definitely sounds like someone you would be!

I am reading the book "Theodore Boone Kid Lawyer" by John Grisham and I'm on page 96. I would take Bobby's place. I took his place because he witnessed a crime. He was scared when he witnessed the crime, that he never said anything when the trial started. And at the end of the trial, he finally said something about the murder to Theo that he witnessed the crime.

I am currently reading "Yellowfang's Secret" by Erin Hunter and I am on page 262. If I were to take a place of one of the characters in this book I would take Foxheart's place. I would take her place because I would set her personality straight! In this book Foxheart is snooty, bossy, and she thinks she's all that. If I were her I would change that attitude she always has and just be humble about everything, because Foxheart thinks she's always the best and she has to be included in everything... No wonder her warrior name is Foxheart. But if I took her place her name would be Foxcatcher or something other than Foxheart. That's who I would take place in this book.

I'm reading The Maze Runner by James Dasher and I finished it. If i could take place of a character I would choose MInho. I would choose Minho because he is the keeper of the runners so he will be going in the maze a lot. Also becauase he is very smart and brave compared to the others. Anyway I really enjoyed this book and I'm glad i chose it!

MY book I'm currently reading is called Game Changers by Mike Lupica, and i'm on page 30. The spot I would take is the main characters Ben's spot, because he plays sports and I love sports. And me and Ben have a lot of stuff in common and I would fit his role perfectly when having competition play against me. And also Ben plays point guard in basketball like me also. so far my book is good

I am reading divergent by Veronica Roth and I am ok page 51. one of the characters I would choose to switch places with would be Tris because she is strong and doesn't give up. She fights to find and end to the company who's doing this the them. Also she can't stand death, her friends death. I like her relashinship with Tobias cause he is rude to her at the beginning and she like to argue yet they still like eachother.

The book I am reading is called Backlash by Sarah Darer Littman and I am currently on page 21. If I had to take the place of someone in this book, I would probably have to take Julisa place. She’s the only one that’s not totally stressed out about every dramatic thing that going on. Julisa is just a new friend of Lara’s that’s there to support her through this mess. That’s honestly the reason I would trade places with her. Julisa is not fully involved in the situation so shes’s not completely stressed about it she’s just there picking up the pieces.

I am reading Warriors Fire and Ice by Erin Hunter and I am on page 71. If I were to take place of any character in the book, I would take Fireheart. He is strong and possibly the savior of the clan. He does not give up easily either so that trait helps him even more in battle. For the beginning of his life he was a house cat so he still has emotions that will keep him from making irrational decisions like whether or not to kill someone who could prove useful.

The book I am reading is called “Heaven” by Angela Johnson, and in this book I am on page 59. If I had to take place of any characters, then I would want to take place of Marley . I would want to take place of Marley because I can relate to Marley a lot. Marley is fourteen and she’s the oldest and solves her owns problems by herself, I am just like Marley because I don’t like to get “help” from others, I find it better to just solve them on my own. I am really liking this book so far, it is really interesting and mysterious.

I’m reading the Dork Diaries, the author of my book is Rachel Renee Russell. I’m on page 130. If I had to take the place of a character in my book I would take Nikki’s place. The book I'm reading is Legacy of Lies (Dark Secrets 1) by Elizabeth Chandler and I'm on page 40. The character I would take the place of is Megan. She has to stay in a mansion with her grandmother and that doesn't seem too bad. Plus she has some very interesting family. I never knew my grandmother so having one would be nice, even if she's a little insane.
