My book is The Ghost Of Crutchfield Hall by Mary Downing Hahn and I am on page 31.One thing im loving about my book is that its spooky.in my book the main character Florence just got adopted and the house is gloomy and scary and she starts feeling and seeing weird things. The mini project I am going to do for this book is probably the emails or the plot timeline.I want to do one of those because I think it would be easy.

I am reading My Fair Godmother by Janette Rallison. I am on page 70. One part that I'm loving about my book is Savannah is on a quest to find her true love after she got dumped by her boyfriend. One part that I don't like is that Savannah's ex-boyfriend (Hunter) dumped her to go out with HIS true love... Savannah's older sister Jane. The mini-project that I will probably do is a Wanted Poster. My book is going great and Savannah is on a quest as Snow White.

Good job, I love spooky books.

I'm reading The Neptune Project by Polly Holyoke. I'm on page 106. I love this book because it's about future science. I also love the part that they transformed to human-fish, then Nere tries to find his dad who created a new world in the sea to make a better life. I like this story because I've never imagine this kind of story and I think it is really fresh. The mini project on this book, I'll probably do plot timeline or emails.

The book that I'm reading is The Infinity Ring: Divide and Conquer and am on page 14. The author is Carrie Ryan and what I like about this book is that in the beginning they really didn't like each other. As time passes they learn to work together on a team. I think that I might do the plot timeline because it seems like the easiest and I don't think it will take to long to complete. I also hope to read the last book in the Infinity Ring series before Christmas break.

The book I am reading is Ink Heart by Cornelelia Funke, I am on page 514. What I am loving about this book is, how the two main characters Maggie and Mo (father and daughter) are going on this great adventure together and that it is full of strange creatures and magic. What I am not loving about this book is that the villain Capricorn doesn't want to go back onto the book anymore. Now that Capricorn realizes Mo and Maggie are trying to get him to go back, he wants to burn all of the Ink Heart books so that it will be impossible for anyone to go in or anyone to come out. The mini project I am planing to do is the plot timeline, I decided to do this because in my opinion it is one of the easiest projects there are, and I don't have to present it.

Tlewis5 said...

DSanchez Like I've been told my whole life, teamwork makes the dream work.

hkim1 That sounds like an exciting book, I kind of want to read it now.

I am currently reading Delirium by Lauren Oliver and I am on page 290. I love that this book is a page-turner and how the main characters Lena and Alex break rules. They also try to break out of the cage the government has set them in and it gives a feeling of excitement. What I don’t like about this book is that it’s been leading the reader on for over half of the entire book and still hasn’t gone past the same point. The mini project that I might do is the plot timeline or the character emails.

mdinh6 said...

Tlewis5 Sounds like an interesting book.

DSanchez Seems like it has a good plot! I'd like to read it.

The book I am reading is Dork Diaries Tales from a Not So Dorky Drama Queen by Rachel Renee Russell I am currently on page 156. From my book I am loving how it leads you on wondering what will happen next. I’m not loving the fact that Mackenzie Hollister stole Nikki’s diary. How rude and it was straight from Nikki’s locker too. Anyways for my mini book project I will either do character emails or wanted, but most likely character emails.

The title of my book is House of Robots: Robots Go Wild by James Patterson and I'm currently on page 64. What I'm loving about my book is that it is about robots and the robots are built for interesting things. What I'm not loving about my book is that the main robot that they talk about mostly looks like a dork. I'm not sure which mini-project I would like to do yet. I'm considering doing the character emails.

JFox4 said...

@Tlewis5 strange creatures could be fun to read about.

My book is WereWorld: Rage Of Lions by Curtis Jobling and I am on page 86.What I love about my book is the easy transitions from action to comedy to drama to especially adventure and even mystery. What i don't love and i'm kind of sad about is an event that happened early in on tbe book but due to spoilers I cant say what it is. I might do another time line because I did so well on my first one and I can probably get the few points I missed next time.I also don't like presenting anything so that is also why I want to do a timeline.

The story I am currently reading is Diary of a wimpy kid Hard Luck and the page I am currently on is page 13 the author of the book is Jeff Kinney. The thing I am not liking so far is that Rowley has ditched Greg so now Greg has too find new friends I middle school and it’s tough for him because he is not that popular at the school. The mini project I might choose is wanted poster if I can get enough information on Greg

My book is called hero. The author is Robert Cormier What i like about this book is the mysterious And weird vibe to the book. The main character just got back from World war 2. And he has to kill his childhood hero. That is why the book name is heroes.

mbradford4 said...

My book is Bystander by James Preller. What I do not like about this book is that Eric's new friend, Griffin, is a bully. Now Eric has to stick with his friend, or else. That is why the book is named Bystander.

My book is The Boy Who Dared and I have finished it. What I liked about the book is that the whole story was a series of memories but at the same time that was what I really hated about it. I like that aspect because of you get to see the build up to how he got in the position that he is in but I really disliked it because you also got to see how he really messed up and you already know the outcome of the mistake. For the mini-project im either going to do character emails or items in a bag.

I am reading stranded and by Jeff Probst and I am on page 127. The ting i love in the book is when the ship is stuck in a disastrous storm and they crash on an unknown island in the middle of the pacific ocean. This quote says,"The boat stopped moving-a bizzare feeling after the roller coaster of the storm-but the wind and the rain and the lightning were still raging outside as much as ever."-pg.42 I will be doing a timeline on this book for the mini-project. I think this is the best book for a timeline sequence.

I am reading a book called 'Crossed', by Ally Condie. I am currently on page 72. The thing I am currently not liking about the book is that it is very slow dialog. The story is also trying to elaborate on characters that were already in the first book. For my mini project I am going to do the Character Emails. I think the emails would be the best because the two main characters are in two different places so it would make sense on how they have to communicate with each other.

I am reading the lightning thief by Rick Riordan and I’m on page 123. One thing I love about my book is all the Greek creatures, gods, and traditions that he incorporated in the book. One thing I do not love about the book is when a few characters in the book are having a conversation it’s hard to tell which character is saying what. Even though it takes a little bit of rereading paragraphs at times I haven’t been able to put the book down because it keeps you interested from the first chapter. For my 3rd mini project I am going to do the items in a bag. I am doing the items in a bag because I haven’t done it before and I think I can find some interesting items to represent this book.

I am reading The Fault In Our Stars by John Green and i'm on page 281. Right now i'm loving the trip ending but i'm hating how long it took for them to even get to that part in the book. I also love how they made such a plot twist in the end but at the same time kept the story somewhat level the whole book. For the mini project i'm going to do the item in a bag, even if it's going to be hard to find objects for this certain book.

The book I am reading is Bat Boy by Mike Lupica, so far I like the books because I love to watch and play baseball and reading a book about it makes me want to keep reading. I am reading Theodore Boone Kid Lawyer by John Grisham and I am on page 55. What I love about this book is that Theo is going out and doing his own thing. In a lot of books that I have read there was always some kind of map that they had to follow, but Theo is having to put clues together himself. I like that he’s figuring things out on his own and that you don’t know what’s really going to happen next in the book. I also like that there’s different characters with their backgrounds. Like Theo’s uncle is a fired lawyer and now was a tax collector and there was a little bit of family drama mixed into it all.

The name of the book that I'm reading is called "Best Friends For Never". This book is by award-winning clique novelist Lisi Harrison. I am on page 15 and I'm loving this book so far. One of the reasons that I am loving this book is because the main character has an obsession with Ralph Lauren just as myself. The mini project that I'm going to do for this nine weeks is the Wanted Poster. The reason that I want to do the Wanted poster is because it is the easiest one and because I like to present.

I am reading Morpheus Road by D.J MacHale and I am on page 157.I enjoy my book so far. What I like about it, is that it's a mystery. The best friend went missing and they're trying to find him, along with the mystery of how Marsh, the main character, knows the other character has a symbolic tattoo. Also, the mini project that I'm thinking of doing is a wanted poster for the imaginary "Grave-digger" that has been stalking and attempting to kill Marsh. I don't know if I'll still have "The Grave Digger" as the person wanted when I finish the book though.

I am reading Big Game by Dan Smith. I am on page 207. what I like about this book is that it kind of has something to do with my old town Trenton. In Trenton they hunt and in this book they hunt. what I don't like about this book is that it has a lot of sad parts like when Oskari almost drowns or when he can't pull back the traditional bow back all the way and people laugh at him.

I am currently reading Id you I love you but then Id have to kill you by Ally Carter and I am on page 216. I like that the book is interesting and it doesn’t have any dry spot where it gets boring and nothing happens. I also like that it is not confusing and it keeps you wanting to read more of it. But one thing I don’t like about the book is Cammie the main character had to lie to Josh about who she is the entire time. I am thinking about doing the Plot Time line for my next mini project.

One thing that I don't like is that one of the bounty hunters blew themselves up.

One thing I am loving about my book is that its so descriptive, the way he wrote it is amazing I love how he tells the story. I saw the movie for it and the book go into so much more detail than the movie. but for the most part its the same story. in the beginning of the book he is one a field trip and one of the teacher is a sub and she is weird from the start but and then she attacks Percy and he have a pen that he got and it turns into a sword when she's attacking him. and in the movie he got the pen after he was attacked and just thought it was a pen. so it was slightly change in the movie. I am going to do the symbols in a bag for my second mini project because I did that last time and I got 100 on it so I know what I need to do to get a good grade on it.

Cinder is almost like the complete opposite of the Cinderella in Disney's movie. I love that one of her stepsisters love her instead of hating her guts. She's even half cyborg. That's pretty cool. The entire book, and series seems to be really good. I'm definitely looking forward to reading the next books.

I started my new book “The Maze Runner” by James Dashner and I am on page 27. Since I just started this book, I don’t really know a lot about this book yet, but one thing I love about my book is that it’s descriptive and it keeps you suspenseful since it makes you keep reading to find out what happens. One thing I don’t love about my book is that it is slow-paced at the beginning while it could also be the reason why it’s making me keep reading to find out. For my mini project, I’m going to do either plot timeline or ‘symbols in a bag.’ I want to do one of those because it’s easy to make an order of what happened in the book and for the ‘symbols in a bag,’ I’ll have to read further to figure out the symbols for each category.

I am currently reading "Can't Look Away" by Donna Cooner and I am on page 26. So far in this book I am really enjoying how the perspective the story is told from is very relatable and modern. The main character is a teenage girl who is very invested in the online world and social media, etc. Although I cannot relate to the situation she is in, I feel like I can understand her better than a lot of charecters I've read about because she is so similar to me. I think I might do the plot timeline mini project for this book because the significant moments in the story are very clear and I think it would best fit this book.

msmith2,
That book was so amazing and really emotional. Good luck!

At the moment I am reading "The Missing: Book 1 FOUND" by Margaret Peterson Haddix and I'm on page 60. So far what I am loving about my book is the dialogue between some of the characters. It seems very realistic in what someone would say in real life. One thing I'm not loving about this book is nothing so far except that the pages are too soft but I know you don't mean physical but I can't think of something I hate. Also, I haven't decided on what mini project to do yet since I correlate my mini project and book so I must finish reading first.

GMaran6 said...

@esmith5 I just "Can't Look Away" from your comment since it was above mine.

@jbruce2 How do you know that your book is short and sweet if you haven't read all of it yet?

The book I'm reading is Rush Revere by Rush Limbaugh and I'm on page 57. There are several things that I like about my book. First, not only is it full of historical facts but it states them in such a way you don't even know your learning about our history. Rush Limbaugh adds a twist of fiction to his books so that enjoy the story while learning history. I also love one of the characters, Liberty, a talking horse, due to his sense of humor and his large appetite. I plan on doing the character emails for this mini-project.

NHerring4 said...

@Gazam5
The Adventures of Tom Sawyer is one of my favorite books.

@lpark1
I hear The Maze Runner is a very good book.

I was reading shadow. I finished he book. I liked how they told Amans story in the book so people were not confused. I like how the author tells it in detail. He also tells it in a sad tone.

kwebb2 said...

@nherring4 sound like a cool book because sometimes stating facts can be a boring way to learn.

kwebb2 said...

@esmith5 its good that you can find a book that is relatable.

I am reading Fire and Ice by Erin Hunter and I am on page 150. I like this book because of all of the diverse characters. I also enjoy the book because of all of its suspenseful action. I enjoy watching Fireheart progress as a warrior. Finally the mini-project that I am going to do is the character emails.

Chon5 said...

@NHerring4 That sounds like a good book.

Chon5 said...

@Gazam5 I have heard of that book before.

I am currently reading jungle of bones by Ben Mikalsen and i'm on page 25. What I love about the book so far is that it is action packed like he stole a car and started going off road while cops are chasing him. What i dislike is pretty much nothing the book has been good so far. The project i'm gonna do for this book on is the wanted poster.

ale2 said...

@chon5 that sounds like my book.

ale2 said...

@kwebb2 you already your book finished good job.

The book I am reading is All Fall Down by Ally Carter and I am on page 63. In the book I am loving that it is full of drama. The main character has a lot of things going on. The mini project I might do is symbols in a bag. I might do symbols in a bag because there is a lot of things that can represent the conflict in the book.

csmith1 said...

@msmith2. that movie to the book is really sad. it was really good as well.

@tfolston6 Cinder is a really good book selection.

I’m currently reading Soul Surfer, the author of this book is Bethany Hamilton and I am on page 43. Something I love about this book is that it’s about surfing. I have always wanted to learn about surfing and maybe try to surf one day. But one thing I don’t like in this book is that it talks about a surfer’s worst fear which is a shark attack. The mini project I’m doing for this book is the plot timeline.

egauthier2 said...

@csmith1 This book sounds interesting just from the title.

egauthier2 said...

@ale2 This book sounds like a good book because of the action in the book.

My book is "Physik" by Angie Sage in the Septimus Heap series, I finished the book. Something I liked about the book is Marcia, the extra ordinary wizard, was able to get rid of the ghost of evil Queen. I did not like how Silas unsealed the room at the beginning and let the substantial ghost out! The mini project I'm planning on doing is the Character emails. Septimus got stuck 500 years in the past, with emails him and Marcia or Jenna could make a plan.

The book I am reading is ‘The Skin I Am In” by Sharon G. Flake. The current page I am on is 13. What I am loving about this book so far is that it’s realistic. It’s not fake and I’m sure it’s happened before. The mini project I might do is the wanted poster. I have not completely decided yet.

lthigpin6 said...

Chon5... i might do that mini project too, I haven't decided yet.

I am reading A Brief History of seven Killings. It is by Marlon James. I am on page 42. One thing i enjoy about my book is that it has an interesting story that is part factual and part non-fiction. But the one thing i don't like about my graph is that it isn't from the perspective of the author or narrator. It is told from the point of seven different people but it is the same story so it is kind of confusing. I do not know what mini project I am going to do.

WDyke6 said...

msmith2 that is a good book

I'm currently reading the Midnight Library I You by Damien Graves pg 32. I'm really loving the suspence in this novel. One thing I dont love in this book is how mean Stephanie is she's usually sarcastic but I think she is crushing. I plan on doing a time line for my mini project because theres ups and downs so that would be easy. These are the reasons why i'd choose that mini project.

abennett6 said...

@WDyke sounds like a great book.

The title of my book is "The Test" by Peggy Kern. I am currently on page 131. One thing I love about my book is that it's suspenseful it keeps me wondering about what's going to happen next. One thing i dislike about my book is that it takes a while to get to the main point. But other than that I love my book and it is very interesting. Especially since, Liselle is the main character. And I chosen to do the plot timeline because lots of steps take place in this book in a simple order.

abennett6 said...

@ale2 sounds like a great book.

The book that I am reading is called Creepover by P.J. Night and i am already done. What I am definitely loving about this book is that it is scary and it could actually be real. Some thing that I am not enjoying is the way she finds out she is a clone. She finds out super harsh. I think i am going to do the plot time line because it fits in very well with my book.

dnazario2 said...

@wdyke

I am currently reading the book called Lost and Found by Anne Schraff and I'm on page done. I loved this one part of the book when my main characters father came back and help her find her lost sister. I am going to do a WANTED POSTER. Their is a lot of conflict in my book.I chose do to a wanted poster because Jamee is wanted for lying to her mother , running away from home , stealing for her boyfriend , and being disrespectful to the adults in , her family (her mom , and aunt).

jedwards2 said...

Why does your book keep you wondering about what's going to happen next? @zawiggins2

The book i'm currently reading is The Kill Zone by James Dashner and im on page 67. So far what i love most about this book is the excitement and thrill that is constantly happening. It keeps you intrested and makes you want to read more. for my mini project im thinking of doing the symbols in a bag project.

swilliamson2 said...

jedwards2 that sound like a really intresting book.

Seraphina, Rachel Heartman, page 181

I love the ideas behind this book but, I wish the focus was more on what I thought of when I saw a dragon on the cover. I got a recommendation to read this book by a dragon lover however there are surprisingly few parts where there are actual dragons in it. Some of the lack is partially compensated by having dragons in human form being main characters. These "dragons" however are almost never the fire-breathing,flying serpents that I was expecting. For the mini-project I thought that the more political interactions in this book would make a good timeline

swilliamson2 said...

@msmith2 I've read that book before and i agree with you.

The book I am reading is called Heaven by Angela Johnson and in this book I am on page 94. What I am “loving” about my book is that most of the time, I can relate to the main character , Marley, because her family is almost like mines and we have the same personalities. What I’m not “loving” about my book is that the setting of it stays the same throughout the whole book. The setting of my book is in a small town called Heaven, and nothing ever happens in that town. The mini project I am going to do for my new book is going to be a “plot-timeline”, because this book has a lot of specific dates .

arobinson2 said...

That book sounds interesting but really "magical". @cpreston2

I am reading son by Lois Lowry and I am on page 19. The thing that I am loving about my book is that it is very unique and detailed, i have never read a book like it. The thing that i dislike about my book is that it is very slow i still haven't met and other characters. I am not very far into my book but the author takes her time to explain everything.

The book I am currently reading is Island of the Blue Dolphins by Scott O'Dell and I am on page 8. The one main thing I don't like about this book is their name are very hard to read.
