I'm currently reading Alfred Kropp by Rick Yancey and I finished my book last Friday.The overall book was pretty good because I like action and there was a lot of that.But I didn't like how the book started,In the start of the book all they did was talk about how Alfreds mom died of cancer and how he kept hopping from foster homes. I didn't like this part because it was really depressing and sad.But in the middle it started getting good because they stole a sword that gives you all the ability from the greatest warriors that once lived.I liked this part because it brought the book to life this part made it good.

something i liked about my book was that it very deatailed, and it also has real life situations that i and other people can relate to.
Something that i don't like about the book, is that there is a lot of problems.. and the book can get confusing at times.

The book I’m reading is rules and the author is Cynthia Lord and I’m on page 146. The thing I like about my book is that the author explains the people and who they are well and describes their character and it gives you a good understanding of them. One thing I don’t like about my book is how the theme changes every 5 pages and u get confused sometimes and don’t get lost about what’s going on in that section.

Right now I am reading The Scorch Trials by James Dashner and I’m on page 330. One thing I really like about this book is all the action that happens. It really makes it interesting and fun to read, which is good for me because I don’t really like to read books. However one thing I really don’t like about this book is how hung up Thomas is about Teresa. He is always worrying about her and always thinks he’s found her and it’s just really annoying, he just needs to get over it.

I am reading the adventures of huckleberry Finn and currently am on page 83. The things that make this book fun to read is that Huck is abandoned by His father and he came back to get him. Even though he was and is a washed up drunk And now Huck must escape. A reason why i don't like this book is because it takes a long time to understand it. As well as the Southern language the entire book is.

And at first they were going to run away and kill people and become rich. Things that i don't like about this book was that it takes a long time to get interesting almost and to understand what is going on in the book

The book I am currently reading is called 'Let Ana go', by an anonymous author. I am on page 80. One thing I like about this book is that it is the point of view of this girl and what she is feeling. I also like the detail the author put into the story, about this girl and her life. One thing i don't like about this book is that it is very sad though out the book.

The book i'm currently reading is SCAT and the author is Carl Hiaasen, I'm on page 349. One specific thiing that i like about my book is that the author gives us very vivid and descriptive details. And when he does that I can make a very detailed image of what the character would look like in my mind. One specific thing I don't like is that the book is basically doing two stories at once and you get kind of lost in between both stories. When that happen I had to go back over the story to get to the part I was at so I wouldn't be confused, about it. But in all I enjoyed my book.

kWebb2 said...

@zsbergman i hope you can understand your book better.

Cmitchell1 I've read that book before and completly agree with you.

I’m reading the book Twilight, the author of this book is Stephenie Meyer. I’m on page 171 and there are 480 pages in this book. One thing I like about this book is that it is romantic and has a lot of action, which is the type of books I like reading. One thing I dislike about this book is that in the movie there are a lot of great scenes that they cut out of the book which makes it a little boring now. I think you should read the book and then watch the movies to see the difference the author made between them.

My book is Dork Diaries and i am currently on page 150 the only thing I liked about this book was how my character traveled to a different fairytale world and she got to see so many fairytale people. The one thing i didn't like was how the book had kept me in suspense.

The book I am reading is called Underdogs by Mike Lupica. I just finished reading the book yesterday. Something that I like about this book is that it is very well written. When a book is very well written and flows nicely it is very pleasurable to read. Book that are choppy and hard to understand are not very fun to read because you are focused on not being able to understand and you are not focused on the story. Something that I did not like about this book is when Will Tyler did not want to play for Castle Rock because he wanted to be loyal to his hometown even though they didn’t even haveenough players to make up a team . That is honestly the only thing that bothered me. Overall the book Underdogs is a very good book and I couldn’t find too many things that I didn’t like about it while it was hard for me to choose my favorites thing about it.

One thing that I like about my book is that the main character is being chased and hunted down by all these bad people because of her powers. Gurl is special because she can turn invisible, but she’s not able to fly like everyone else around her is. They thought that Gurl had no talents and that’s how hse got her name; because she’s just plain. Example: I am the wall and the ground and the air, I am the wall and the ground and the air. For a minute Gurl thought she had failed until Jules said, “Where did she go?” One thing that i don’t like about it is that the host of her orphanage is making her steal for her and do all of her dirty work. Example: “Her first burglary left Gurl triumphant. Then shaken. Then exhausted. Then ashamed. But whatever she felt she knew she didn’t want to go back to the orphanage. Not yet.” I am reading The Wall and The Wing by Laura Ruby, and I am on page 121.

I was reading Gathering Blue by Lois Lowery I have finished my book. Something I like about the book I am reading is that Kira persevered though the whole book she faced so many problems but she keep going. One thing I don't like is that Kira was limited to what she could do. If she messed up once she was sent away so it felt like the whole book was on restrictions.

The book I am reading is The Notebook, by Nicholas Sparks and I’m on page 55. One thing I really like about this book is that it describes real life situations. It has real life situations. One thing I don’t like about this book is that when the girl moves away, the boy sends note and the mom hides it from her. They could have had a chance to be together, and build their problems up to make it better but they couldn’t.

I am currently reading a book called "Maximum Ride" and i'm starting on page 24 and the author is James Patterson. I love how they can still be so open and humorous while being chased down by killing wolf/human hybrids. I do hate how Max is extremely bossy and somewhat snappy about every little thing, though. They also end up making decisions that are obviously incorrect but since Max is too stubborn there is most likely no chance that she would admit it.

I'm reading Jumper by Steven Gould and im on page 236. One thing I don't like about this book is the main character's personality. I think he tries to act older than he is when he's only about 17 years old. He also stole from a bank to get money because he can teleport, and even though thats exactly what I would have done in that situation, he spends it really irresponsibly on things he really does'nt need and is blowing through his million dollars really quickly. The chapters are also very long. One thing I do like about this book is that there is some sort of purpose for every chapter and there isn't really any filler content that isn't necessary to the plot (not much anyways.)

shernandez6 said...

@anonymous why are you anonymous and WHY DO YOU TYPE LIKE THIS

@tnoliver6
1. I hope the book goes your way too

shernandez6 said...

@ergauthier2 It's like that with the later Harry Potter movies too. Most movie adaptations of books change parts of the plot drastically, and leave out a lot of important scenes, details, and character developments. I didn't really like the Twilight series at all though.

The book I am reading is Hatchet by Gary Paulsen. I am close to the finish I am on page 175 and there are 191 pages. I love the survival aspect in the book. I watch survival shows here and there I love them because you don't know what's going to happen or how their going to survive. They could come across dangerous animals or get sick in the wilderness. For example, Brian is so thirsty that he drinks water from the lake he landed near and vomited. That water could have helped or made him super sick. He was lucky that it was ok. I don't like how the book keeps going back to "The Secret" a lot especially in the beginning. I already know what "The Secret" is but Brian will keep talking about and it gets boring because I've already heard about the secret he doesn't need to keep repeating it in different words.

ACardoza5 said...

@shernandez6 I wouldn't really like the character's personality also.

@lthigpin6 That book sounds sad.

My book is "The Bully", by Paul Langan , I am on page 145. The thing I disliked is when Darrell's uncle was making him feel down by saying that he was no good and also saying that he's not good on the matt. The thing that I really liked about this book is when Darrell changed. All before he used to be the scared and lonely kid who wanted to run back to Philadelphia. Now he's on the wrestling team and preparing to go to a dance to meet a girl, I thought that was brave of him to change like that,[To want to know how to stand up for himself].

I am reading the fault in our stars by John green and am currently on the last few pages this morning. One specific thing I like about this book is that it speaks about reality. It shows what happened in the real world, that people die and their is no way around it. One specific thing I do not like about this book it how he does. It brings me to tears everytime it read that scene.

My book is “Paper Towns” by John Green and I am on page 12. I don’t like how in the beginning it starts out really slow and I don’t know what’s really happening. When Quentin in the beginning talks about how he likes this girl Margo and they would ride their bikes together. It sets up the book in a weird way that and I makes it confusing for me, and I didn’t know that it was ten years later until the tenth page and that Quentin had a girlfriend. I thought that Margo and Quentin were dating but they never did and that’s what I don’t like about the book is how they set it up at the beginning thinking that they are together.
