The book I am reading is Twilight the character in my book which is Edward he can be stubborn and sometimes positive. Since he is a vampire he tends to like suck the blood out of people. There are parts of him that nobody knows about so I guess we can call him secretive. Some character traits that Edward has is thirsty for blood and he is talkative. The speech would be that Edward told his friend “Don’t move” that could show he’s demanding or wants to look out for his friend. The thought would be when Bella called out to her father Edward thought to himself who else. Which shows common sense like who else would he be talking to. The effect would be every walked away from Bella which would show like they don’t like her that’s why they left away from her. The action would be that Bella kissed Edward which shows she likes him. The looks would be that Bella had put on a nice amount of makeup which shows she cares about the way she looks. The page I am on is 12 and the author is Stephanie Meyer.

My book is Steelheart by Brandon Sanderson, the main character is David. He is a very focused person the author says he is determined. He is very good at getting others on board with his ideas. In the book he convinces the Reckoners to kill one of the most powerful Epics. For traits he’s stubborn and still acts like a little kid when he sees something he wants. And I would picture him as mid height skinny with short brown hair.

The book I'm reading is called Guitar Notes and I am on page 116. The main character in this book is Tripp Broody, Tripp loves music and playing his guitar. Tripp is a loner, creative, mischievous and music lover. "Tripp Broody (not a band or orchestra person) would like a practice room (if the school has a guitar to borrow). This is no joke. This is a matter of survival." This tells us that he is a major music lover and can not live without it. In the book Tripp plays a prank on his mom because she took his guitar. He replaced her coffee grounds with dirt to get back with her. His actions shows that he can be mischievous. The author of this book is Mary Amato.

The book I'm reading is Marc Aronson's "Witch Hunt". I'm currently on page 102. One of the main characters is Abigail Williams. Abigail is very different, and by different I mean, she may look and act innocent but truly she is evil and dark. Abigail is very sociable with adults and children. Her thoughts are about how she could get away with anything and who she can accuse of next. Her uncle is the head judge of the town of Salem, which is a big reason why she is sneaky and cruel. Other people think that she is just an innocent girl who is having to go through all this trouble in town. Her actions are mainly tattle tailing and getting away with stuff. Her looks is what mainly fools people , she has long black hair and normal village clothing which makes her blend in with every one else .

The book i'm reading is The Enemy i'm on page 412 and the author is named Charie Higson. The character i'm using for the steal is Nick. The character trait that Nick has is scary. An example from the book is ""I'm going to slaughter you little pigs," he snarled. His dreadlocks were flapping around his head like rays of the sun in a child's drawing." This is the part when Nick is trying to kill Small Sam and The Kid. He is demon that feeds children like pigs then eat them.

The author characterizes Rafe as kind, even though he doesn't like to always follow the rules. An example of Rafe being kind, was when he gave his lunch to someone who didn't have one.

The book that Im reading is called Cat's Liar by Christine Feehan, and the main character is Catarina Benoit. In this book, Cat is a smart, fierce, and good person, that has been through a lot in her past years. She has trust issues, and goes through a lot of stress. Cat is very shy whenever she's around people, she has self-confidence, she makes a lot of others feel "alive", she avoids people that tries to help her out , and she dresses casually, like a regular girl. Catarina is in a lot of danger and tries very hard not to show the pain inside. She hides a lot of her emotions to herself , and she doesn't have friends.

I am currently reading Allegiant by Veronica Roth and I am on page 75. The main character in my book is Tris Prior. Tris is kind, strong-minded, and stubborn but she can also be rude and sassy. An example of STEAL is when she says Yeah and do you really think it helped to talk to me like I was a child who didn’t know any better. This shows how strong-minded or determined to gain respect. Some character traits that Tris has are curiosity and selfishness, for example when she says You don’t have to come, but I need to get out of here. I need to know who Edith Prior was, and who’s waiting for us outside the fence, if anyone. I don’t know why but I need to. This shows how curious Tris is o get to the other side of the wall.

The main character in this book is Hannah Swensen,Hannah is one of those characters who is careful, brave, responsible, and smart, but has the horrible luck of finding the murder victim. For ex., "Taking a deep breath a courage, Hannah tugged until the solid mass turned from back to front. She took one look and swallowed hard as she stared down at blond hair, a perfect figure, and lifeless blue eyes with a deep indentation between them." (p.112, STEAL: Action). This shows that Hannah has the courage enough to face a dead person, which supports one of her character traits.

The main character in this story is a girl named Addison but referred to in the book as Addie. The part of STEAL that I will be talking about today is thoughts. She is not as confident as she may come out to be because on the first page of the book she tells us every name in the book she’s been called as said on page 5. “They say in seventh grade you are who they say you are but how can that be true? How can I be a Godzilla-girl, lezzie loser, know-it-all, big mouth, beanpole, string bean, freaky tall, spaz attack, brainiac,*bad word*...” The list goes on but it’s the fact that she actually agrees with them and believe every word they say. She doesn’t have enough self-confidence to realize whatever she thinks that she is that she is.

The book I am reading is called "Percy Jackson and the Olympians The Lightning Thief" by Rick Riordan and I am currently on page 285. The author of this book characterizes Percy as a very judgmental person. In the exchanging of dialog with Dionysus and Percy shows that Percy is very judgmental. The example of S.T.E.A.L. is speech as shown in the dialog. The text states "'You're a god.' 'Yes, child.' 'A god. You.'" This how Percy was being judgmental to Dionysus by the way Dionysus looked. This is how the author characterizes the character, Percy Jackson.

The person that introduced the Star Wars books to me was Mr.Noles. This book is so creative and amazing it makes you want to read the whole series. You guys should really read this book it is exhilarating. My example of S.T.E.A.L is action because Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker embark on mission that is so dangerous that they needed 7 JEDI cruisers and 6 Transports , and 4 Mini Cruisers. Anakin Skywalker is a Jedi who became a padawan in his second year of training. The Jedi council knew that this was very rare and it had only happened once before with Obi-Wan Kenobi.

The book I was reading was My Heart and Other Bloack Holes by Jasmine Wanga. I finished a few days ago, but really wish I hadn't, since it was so good. The protagonist of the book is Aysel Seran. She's a depressed, nerdy, 16 year old girl who's creativity and depth don't get to shine through. The author portrays her as a sad teenager who wants to die, but, as the story unravels, expresses how creative, nerdy, and deep she actually is. Like on page 242, Aysel thinks to herself, "Maybe that's what love rally boils down to-having someone who cares enough to pay attention so that you're encouraged to travel and transfer, to make your potential energy spark into kinetic energy." Towards the end of the book, Aysel realizes that she's not a bad person and that her life is worth living.

I am on page 267 and the main character and protagonist, Quentin, in "Paper Towns" by John Green is Quentin. Quentin is a quirky, nerdy, semi insecure guy. He's a senior in highschool on his last week of school. He has a perfect attendance record and generally hangs out with the band geeks and over analyzes a lot. When the antagonist, Margo asks him to help her out on a mission one evening, he is more than willing to oblige. He has been head over heals for her since their early childhood but they grew apart and drifted into different social groups. He finds himself heart broken when she disappears without any warning the next morning. His life becomes preoccupied by the constant thoughts of Margo and decoding the clues she left for him to find her whereabouts. "It became a weekend of reading, of trying to see her in the fragments of the poem she'd left for me." This quote is an example of indirect characterization, it shows that he's dedicating all of his time to finding Margo, he proves himself to be a caring friend, maybe more than a friend. He shows great volition as he searches for his first love who he has spoken to for the first time in years only days earlier.

The book I am currently reading is “Flawless” a Pretty Little Liars novel by Sara Shepard and I’m on page 104. The main character in the book is Allison DiLaurentis who was found dead in her own backyard. The example of S.T.E.A.L. that I’m using is effects on others. Allison has effected every one of her friends by changing them from being losers to being pretty and popular. I'd describe Allison to be outgoing but mean or rude. For example “Ali loved to talk and be the center of attention,” and “Ali and Aria loved to tease Mona and make fun of her glasses.” This shows that she could be fun and talkative or a bully.

This shows that Thomas is brave, it also shows how other characters feel about him.

I read hatchet by Gary Paulson and the main character brain is characterized in
the book a different way then most books. He is the only person in the book so he cant have an effect on others or looks and does not talk to himself so the author characterizes him on mostly thoughts. For example the first day his alone he is in shock of what happened but tries to keep calm and focus on what he needs to do. He does this by telling himself to not overthink things and have simple thoughts. instead of thinking, I was on a plane going to my dads house and the pilot had a heart attack and died and now am alone in the wild. Just think, I was in plane crash and now am alone in the forest. By saying this the author is stating that the main character is a controlled simple person. And I finished the book.

My book is Game Changers: Play Makers by Mike Lupica and the main character is Ben. He is nice, caring, and a good friend. The author characterizes them as a person that goes out of his way to help others. Ben is positive to others and brings their attitude up. Ben is also confident and encourages everyone. In the story Bens friends where nervous about the season and Ben told them that if we work together and play hard we can win, encouraging his friends.

The book I am reading is “Insurgent” by Veronica Roth. I am currently on page 181. In the book I am reading the main character is a girl, her name is Beatrice but she goes by Tris. The author describes Tris as a worrisome person. For example Tris thought to her self, “Now I have to live with everyone else’s judgment as well as my own, and the fact that nothing- not even me- will ever be the same again.” Veronica shows her worrying in Tris’s thoughts, Tris is often strong but she can also be, childish like.

I`m currently reading The Giver the author is Lois Lowery and i'm currently on page 200. The main character Jonas is tall, slim, and he has pale eyes which are blue. The author kind of characterizes him as a brave anxious person. For example around pages 140-150 he didn't think it was fair that no one could see color or choose what they wanted. He really wanted to change that but he could not. His speech is what makes him that way out of the 'steal'words.

I'm reading The Cardturner by Louis Sachar, page 130. The main character is Atlon Richards. He can't drive well, he is sort of a push over because his parents are making him hang out with his rich great uncle to get a part in his will. He's also a fast learner because he picked up the complicated bridge game quickly. And he's forgiving because his girlfriend broke up with him and is now dating his best friend.

I am reading Steve Jobs by Patrice Lakin, I’m on page 85. The main character in my book is obviously Steve jobs. His personality is that he is brave, smart, and an out of box thinker. In the book it explained that he is brave when it said “In Steve determined way he convinced the people managing Halteck that they should hire him to work on weekends.” which this is apart of speech.

I am reading “The Grimm Conclusion” by Adam Gidwitz and I am on page 269. The main character is a girl named Jorinda and she's one of the twins. Her early life was like the original tale of Cinderella and she became Queen at a young age. But, when her prince/king left her, she became a tyrant because she didn't know how to rule. With her twin, their dad died when they were born and their mom really didn’t know how to raise them, so she abandoned them. So, she mostly love and cares for her twin. The author shows that they are loving by having one say, “If you won’t leave me, I won’t leave you.” In which it shows they care for each other and love one another company. That's how the author characterize Jorinda and her twin.

The book I am currently reading is Gathering Blues by Lois Lowery and I am on page 110. The main character in my book is named Kira. Her personality is that she is very nice and shy. One way the author describes her is how she looks. She has a twisted leg, which she was born with. Everyone thought that she would never survive her birth, but she did.

On Friday I finished my book, Down a Dark Hall by Lois Duncan. The main character in the book is Kit. She’s very curious and driven. Kit is very determined to figure everything out especially if you’re hiding things from her, she also is not afraid to speak her mind. For example, towards the back of the book on page 164, Kit has been snooping through Madame Durets files, one of her many attempts of trying to find some way to get out of there. When she’s caught doing so she is taken back to Madam Duret, but when Madam Duret says something she doesn’t like, she blows up. ““I don’t have to accept it!” Kit cried defiantly. “None of us do! Jules is taking us out of here!”” This would be the letter ‘s’ in S.T.E.A.L.

Alex is also very smart she shows this by taking a college class online before the Enchantress tried taking over the world. The main character of the book Michael Vey by Richard Paul Evens is Michael Vey, its that simple. You could describe Michael as your everyday normal highschooler with shocking powers, literally. He likes waffles and video games, hates homework and gets bullied at school. But Michael is anything but ordinary. (spoiler) He has the power to shock people through direct contact or conduction he can also absorb other electric children's powers. He's normally in a good mood and a social outcast. He is also very stubborn at times. For example on the back of the book it says "My name is Michael Vey and the story I'm about to tell you is strange.Very strange. Its my story."

The main character of my book, Kissed by an Angel by Elizabeth Chandler which I’ve already finished, is Ivy. She’s a nice girl that has gone through so much. But no matter what, she’s always there for her little brother Phillip and puts everyone before herself. She is also stuck in the past, constantly thinking about Tristan, her boyfriend who died saving her. Ivy used to always believe in angels, so Phillip started believing in them too. But since Tristan died, she refuses to believe in angels anymore. Yelling at Phillip for telling her that they’re still real, being stubborn. For example, when he was telling her that he knows that there’s an angel standing near her angel statues, she throws them in a bag and gives them to him, almost completely broken. Ivy is still nice, it’s just she’s given up on everything.

I finished my book “Catching Fire” by Suzanne Collins, and the main character, and also a protagonist of this book, is Katniss Everdeen. She is determined, willing, and selfless. The author characterizes her as brave and free-spirited. She is a 17-year-old girl living in very controlled town of District 12 under the rules of the Capitol. She basically doesn’t like the Capitol, and sometimes break the rules. Even though Katniss acts rebellious, she risks herself to save others. The example of STEAL I used is thoughts. On page 267, she thinks to herself, ‘And I owe it to the rebels who, emboldened by Cinna's example, might be fighting to bring down the Capitol at this moment. My refusal to play the Games on the Capitol’s terms is to be my last act of rebellion. So I grit my teeth and will myself to be a player.’ This shows that she tries to act behalf on what she thinks is right even though it means acting against the Capitol. It reveals that even though she is scared, she tries to act strong. And from this, we can know that she is brave and determined.

In the book that I just recently finished reading, “Things We Know By Heart” by Jessi Kirby, there are many different sides to the main character, Quinn. One of the most discernible traits in her personality, however, is the fact that she is somewhat close-minded. After her boyfriend, Trent, died in a horrific car crash, Quinn went into a state of depression and became very antisocial due to her grief. However, after almost two years since Trent’s death, Quinn was still disconsolate. When she finally decided to try to find normality in her life again, she was very hesitant to become close to anyone, like when she met Colton. Even though he clearly had feelings for her and a part of her had feelings for him too, Quinn was still not over Trent, and her close-minded personality had an affect on her relationship with Colton. The author shows this character trait through Quinn’s thoughts, actions, and dialogue.
