@DDaniels4 that's a great connection from your book, and a good lesson to learn.

The book that i am currently reading is called Torn by Margaret Peterson Haddix and im on page
40. Me and the main charactor do not relate as much. the book is about time traveling and i obviously cant time travel in real life. The main character likes to be sarcastic and i do to sometimes. That is the only thing we have in conman so far.

There really wasn't a connection with my book either, but that book sounds interesting.

I like your connection to the story!

I am reading Warriors into the wild by Erin Hunter. This book connects to me because the main character so far is a house cat and I am on page 111. I have a few cats that live in my house and do some of the stuff the house cats do in the book. I also have a cat that looks like one in the book. This book doesn't relate to me too much but I will see as I get further into the book.

Chon5 said...

@Gazam5 I like mystery too.

@cnelson2 I know a few people who have read that book and told me it's good.

The book i'm currently reading is "Love Maybe". One connection that i have with this book is that the main charecter is always dealing with her other friends love and realshonship problems. Another connection is that she's very helpful when it comes to helping her mom out and etc.

@chon5 your book sounds awsome , and you have great connections.

The book I am currently reading id the Grimm Conclusion by Adam Gidwitz and on page 230. The connection between my life and this book is that I think the connection between her brother is like mine. They both want to never leave each other and they will fight for each other. Me and my brothers are kind of the same like that because we will fight for each other and one another. My brothers act like they want to leave me but their lying. So that’s my connection between my life and my book.

kkimbrough1 said...

dtthomas1 this is my life too.

Chon5 I have just one cat though.

The book I have recently read is The Eye of Minds by James Dashner and I am currently done with the book. This book connects to me because the main character, named Michael, get a lot of changes to his life in a really small amount of time, just like I am recently. He is also relatable because he is a gamer like I am. Those are all the connections to me but there is one detail in it that I think you will like. That is how rapidly technology is getting more immersive and how we can almost “experience” virtual worlds. And sorry if I ended up on a symbolic note.

Arossi2 said...

@chodges6 We're fine with self connections. Most of my connections are those anyway.

Arossi2 said...

@jbruce2 You have good connections. I LOVE Carl Hiaasen's books. Have you read Holes?

Kacox6 said...

The book I am currently reading is Paper Towns. I am on page 269 and almost done reading it. The author is Jonh Green. A connection that I have with my book and real life would be that I am like Q, I have my whole future planed out pretty much, my job, kids, and house. Nothing exciting really happens to me so it wasn't like my crush just appeared in my window but I still kinda think I am like him. I am good in school and when I'm with my friends I'm well.. Me. I still have fun adventures and allways know that I can count on my friends

Kacox6 said...

@charpe5
I think that is a great book and good explanation!

I'm currently reading the bully and I'm on page 35 . They way that I am connection with this book is that's we both had a cousin or close friends that was going to school with us , & you know when u have a cousin going to school with u they are known and when someone mess with you they would take up for you . But anyways he didn't used to get bullied at the he was at until he have to moved , He had to go to a different school , He didn't know anybody there . Same with me I used to go to this school called Norton , & I had a couple of cousins at that school in every grade , So nobody would mess with me , they would have to go though my cousins before they got to me . But I got moved to a different school called Talbot because we moved & I didn't know nobody there and There were these two girls that would always bully me because they where jealous of me .

I'm still reading Doctor Sleep by Stephen King and I am on page 320. I can relate to one of the protagonists, Abra, because she is almost the same as my age. She also has two parents who are divorced, and mostly focuses on important things like schoolwork. Abra loves to read, and so do I. Doctor Sleep has many personal life scenarios that I have encountered in my life, and the first book before Doctor Sleep called The Shining did too.

@abpugh5 I read Bully last year for Mrs. Bush's class, its a good book and a good reading level

My book is called The Underdogs by Mike Lupica. A way this book is like my life is because the main character loves football. Football is my favorite sport. That is how my book relates to my life.

I’m on Page 105 of Enders Game by Orson Scott Card. In the book, Ender had to go to battle school to defend the world against aliens. I can relate to this because my uncle is joining the army soon, so he’s going to be leaving us to defend the country. Although Ender is only six and my uncle in in his early 30’s, the connection is still there. In the book, Ender misses his family a lot. I’m sure my uncle will feel the same.

I don not really have much connection with this book. My book, "After 2 PAC" is about after 2 pac died. So this book doesn't really relate to me that much. This book is told through the perspective of a little girl who loved 2 pac. So she lost someone she loved.

sharriett4 said...

@csmith1 very good writing and good explanation.

As you already may recall the last book I was reading I didn’t like it because I was lost and I didn’t understand anything whatsoever. The name of the book that I am currently reading is called “Addie on the Inside” it is by bestselling author James Howe and I am currently on page 62. I actually like this book because it always has you on the edge of your seat. The connection between the book and my life is that Addie always speaks her mind no matter what and I am the say way I don’t mean to come off brusque but I can help how it rolls off my tongue. She is also carefree when it comes to people’s opinion if she believes in something she is going to stick with it. My parents also taught me from a very young age to stick to what I believe in and never be afraid to voice your opinion.

The book I'm reading is called "The Boy Problem", I am currently on page 103, and the author is Kami Kinard. A connection i made with this book is that she has a person her class that is annoying and so do I. It might be difficult to have a person in your class who is annoying but you learn to deal with it. The person in my book ends up being partners with this annoying girl, but they end up being friends near the end of the book.

Jdaies2 said...

@rpollock2 I have heard of that book and have thought about reading it, i might check it out.

I am currently reading the book chomp by Carl Hiaason. I am currently on page 40. I think the book relates to my life because of all the animals. I’m always outdoors and spending time with my 5 dogs and six fish. I love being outdoors if I’m playing sports or hunting and fishing. And the main character in the book named wahoo enjoys being outdoors.

I'm reading Twilight, the author of this book is Stephenie Meyer. I'm on page 102 and this is a 480 page book. A connection I've had with my book is, I'm like Edward I've been going to the same school for awhile just like Edward has. But then a new student comes in and instantly we have a connection just like him and Bella. The new student and I start talking and it just works out between us, because we are perfect together. Just like Edward starts talking to Bella and they hit it off instantly.

egauthier2 said...

That is weird that you connect so much to the book its like you where the character I the book. @kwebb2

That is true you are like the character. I would maybe read this book also. @jdaies2

I am reading 'Cosmic' by Frank Boyce and am on page 54. A connection I've had with this book is like the main character, have been misunderstood of their actions. The main character, Liam, just wants to enjoy himself but because of his abnormal height of 6'4 in the 6th grade, always gets treated as an adult, and gets into trouble just for acting his age, not his looks.

jwinfrey5 said...

@chon5 That sounds like kind of a strange book, how are cats in any way warriors?

jwinfrey5 said...

@gdougherty1 That sounds like a cool book, but I thought baseball was your favorite sport.

The Scorch Trials by James Dashner

The Scorch Trials actually connects to my life despite being a apocalyptic sci-fi book. Though it is not in a good way, as Thomas our main character goes through a lot, like I have. Thomas also has issues with being betrayed by his friends and terrible luck giving a him a very hard time finding somebody he can trust, like I do. However I do not deal with the death that he has to deal with.

I am currently reading the book flushed by Carl Hiaasen. I am on page 47. The main characters live in the keys and my uncle owns houses there. I've spent a lot of time there. Other than that the characters are around my age.

I am reading Ranger's Apprentice and I am on page 61. There is a connection with my life and this book. We both want to be a warrior, and help others. Will(the main character) and I want to be included, but not an outcast. We want to imagine and make it become real!

The connection that I have discovered in my book is the love they have. They two kids love their grandmother very much. I do as well I spend lots of time with my grandmother which is something that I can connect with them about. Also the two kids love to tell stories to their grandmother at nights. Their grandmother loves them dearly and is about 50 or so. But that’s the connection I get from my book that I’m currently reading.
