I am on page 230 of the book "Perfect" by Sara Shepard. If I was the author of the book i would change the cover to a real person. The reason is because the current cover is a barbie type doll and its kinda creepy. I would also change the way Aria's mom Ella found out about her husband Byron cheating on her. She found out because "A" send a letter to her and it told all about it, then she got mad because Aria knew and then she ended up kicking Aria and Byron out of the house.

I am reading "Treasure Island" by Robert Louis Stevenson and I am finished with the book. If I were the author I would change just a couple of things in the book. I feel that the book moves a bit too fast on some parts and a bit slow on the others. I would change the flow of the book. I did enjoy it however, I feel it moved a bit too fast.

I am reading The Power of Un by Nancy Etchemendy and I am on page 132. In this book Gib finds a device called the unner, that can change things by going back in time by a few hours. With the unner, he goes back a few hours to the carnival, and at the carnival, his little sister Roxanne breaks her neck. Roxanne is in a comma in the hospital and is about to die. If I were Gib, I would keep the under, but only use it in dire emergencies and not to change my mom's mind about going to the fair. Or maybe if I had the unner, I would use it to study harder for tests or get my homework done.

@SBrown4 I love Pretty Little Liars!!! I am done reading that series, but it is so good! I really like watching the t.v. show. The t.v. show is a lot different than the books though, but it is still really good!

I am currently reading If I Stay by Gayle Forman and I am on page 32. In this book if I could change one thing, it would be to describe who Adam is more. Adam is described as Mia’s boyfriend but it doesn’t actually say it. It talks about how he’s in a band and how he can rarely go to school normally. On page 7 it says, “Mom hands me a steaming mug and the newspaper. There’s a nice picture of your young man in there, she says.” When I first read this it confused me because I didn’t know who it was and if the guy was actually her boyfriend or just a guy from a band that she has a crush on. I would change the book to make this part less confusing.

gpanipinto4 Great job on your blog! Nice job being descriptive.

RRaisch6 Good job on you blog. Your book sounds pretty good.

I just finished the book "Chomp" by Carl Hiaasen. If I were the author of the book I would change the way Derek Badger acted and potrayed himself. Derek Badger is a T.V star and is most known from his show that requires him working in the wild with animals. In the book, he made a huge fool out of himself as he tried to wrangle an alligator. This almost cost him his career, not to mention this could also kill him. Derek was also the main reason for all of the conflict between the characters. If he wasn't such a fake, he would perhaps get along with everyone.

I am reading The Line by Teri Hall and I am on page 18. The thing I would chance would be Rachel's poverty, for her not to be poor and live in her own house. It feel like ten character she has to live with to not live in the streets it's just relevant. The character has no point to the story. If they live in the own house next to the The Line she still would be wondering whats past The Line.

@Sbrown4 That's a cool story line.

@cweinberg6 I want to read that book.

I am currently reading the book "Far Far Away"by Tom Mcneal, page 105. A recent event was that Jeremy got caught by the police for breaking into the bakers house, yet the baker let him off easy because he was kind. If I was the author I would probably change this scene to make it more interesting, and suspenseful. Jeremy was with his friend Ginger when it happened, so I would make both of them get caught. Instead of the baker letting them off easy, I would make both of them go to jail, and sit there for a night. The book would explain how the ghost that always helps Jeremy helps him through the scene in jail.

@GPanipnto When I read books, and they go too fast, I don't really like it either.

@SBrown A barbie doll on the front does sound creepy, but maybe it gives more meaning to the book. I dont know, but it sounds interesting.

I’m reading Perfect Season by Tim Green and I am done with the book. If I were the author I would change how long the book is. Sometimes when I was reading the book I got kind of bored with how he went on and on about one little thing. I would change this so that the readers don’t get bored and change books. I would also change this because that is the first thing kids look at when they look at a book is how many pages there are.
@Sbrown4 that’s interesting and could maybe work if you change the cover.

I am reading Let it Snow by John Green, Maureen Johnson, and Lauren Myracle, and I'm on page 148. The book has 3 different stories and I just finished the first one by Maureen Johnson. Now I am reading the story by John Green. If I were the author of John Green's story I wouldn't change very much. But if I absolutely had to change something, it would be how Tobin's mother is so clingy. At the beginning of the story she constantly call Tobin while he's watching James Bond movies with his friends. She's worried because her and Tobin's dad are stuck in Boston due to snow and Tobin is going to be home alone for Christmas. These dull every day phone calls between worried mother and son is how the story starts. I don't like boring or dull so I would change that, and begin the story with something more interesting. Maybe some onomatopoeia from the movies Tobin and his friends are watching like, "Bang! or "Kaboom!" Something like that.

I am reading the infinity ring by James Dashner, i am on pg.100. if i was the author of this book i would change how the main character was a nerd. i would probably make him an outsider and how he is very different from other. another thing i would change is going back in time to find Christopher Columbus. i probably would have made them go back in time to find lewis and Clarke. lewis and Clarke was in a native tribe that found that devastated the world. thats probably what i would write.

I read Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck and finished it. I would probably change that Lennie died. I hated that he died because I spent the entire time on the book getting attached to him and in the end he gets shot in the back of the head. It was sad and depressing. I'd also change how George treated him, he was kind of rude to Lennie at times, so that when Lennie screwed up so bad that when he had to die, he was scared of George going to "give him hell" and it was depressing because you knew what was going to happen to him, and you didn't want him sad in his final moments.

@Sbrown4 Yeah the doll would be pretty creepy.

Eldest. By Christopher Paolini
If I was the author of my I would change some of the events that have been taking place in my book such as¸ Eragon got cut in the back by the shade and now is somewhat handicapped. Another thing I would change is how he formatted the book, because some chapters it’s about the main character other chapters it’s about the main characters cousin. It’s confusing and I always have to go back and re-read what I just read.
@PO'hara , good job with your blog. im sorry you didnt like the ending

The book I read was Mike Lupica’s comeback kids. If I was the author of my book I would change 3 things about my book. One, I would make the main character have better football skills than what he has. Meaning that instead of his secret talent being a kicker I would make him have great speed and agility. Another thing I would change is the main characters girlfriend. She hates all his friends and this make his friend friendship weaker than it already gotten. The last thing I would change is the setting. The setting is a small town and this makes the football games limited and make the story short.

keep up the good work @sbarry2

If they had more text on each page the book would be much shorter in terms of pages. In length the book it about some 200- odd pages, but if they contained less text the whole book would be closer to 150.

I am currently reading The Fault In Our Stars by John Green and I am on page 250. If I was the author of this book I wouldn't make Van Houten be that disrespectful towards Hazel and Gus. Van Houten told Hazel that she was a side effect of an "evolutionary process that carries little for individual lives. You are a failed experiment in mutation" I found what he said to be very harsh. I don't believe anyone should say that to a cancer patient. As the author, I would have Van Houten tell Hazel about what happened to the characters in "An Imperial Affliction" and not be so mean.

I am reading Passion by Lauren Kate and I am on page 33. if I were the author, I would change the fact that Luce is actually experiencing her past lives in person. her past grandmother confused Lucinda with Luschka(Luce in the past). I have finished Ranger's Apprentice book four by John Flanagan. If I was the author of this book I would make it a bit more suspenseful. I would also change the cover a little. I would show some more Skandians and I would show Halt, Will, Horace, and Cassandra. I feel like the cover could use some more people that's why I would add those extra people on the cover. Though to be honest I don't want to make the changes. But those are just some suggestions.

I am finished with my book "The Big Time" by Tim Green. In last weeks blog I posted that I didn't like when Troy didn't stick up for himself. I said that if I were him I would've told my mom that it is unfair for her to make my father go away when I just met him. Well that's the thing that I would change if I were the author. This is because if Troy started yelling at his mom and telling her it's not fair that would've added more excitement to the story. Also, I would change that because throughout the books that I've read with Troy in it, he is the type of person that would normally stand up for himself. I guess he just didn't do that because it was his mom or something.

@gpanipinto4 I heard that book was good
@RRaisch6 The unner sounds really cool. I would definitely use it

I am currently reading catching fire by Suzanne Collins and i am on pg. 78. If i was the author of the book i would change the main character to a boy. So instead of a girl going through all them challenges i'll pick a boy because a boy is more realistic for the plot of the book, a real girl probably wouldnt be able to handle that. I would also make some more unbelievable challenges, some stuff that people who think would think to be impossible to do. I would also make a final boss to beat, like it would be a brawl to the death.

In addition, I would lessen the drama because that makes you lose the reader's attention and makes the reader get bored of reading the book, I would make somebody other than both his parents die. Moreover, I would change the way the people spoke, because I think it would be very hard to read sailor talk and understand what they're saying.

I just started reading The Alchemist, and I'm on page 28. If I were the author I would maybe describe more of the main character's childhood. Otherwise, so far the author has written the book perfectly! My favorite part of the book so far is the message the author sends, because it's a message I often think about. The author talks about people's fate in a way I've never really thought of until I started reading this book, and it's really helping me realize how the smallest things can change even the biggest of events.

The book I am reading is called travel team by Mike Lupica and I am on page 93. One major thing that I would change in this book is all the drama. Some parts of this book had drama. I am not a fan of drama. I would change it into something that hads sports and action together in one book or sports and adventure in one book.

The book I am currently reading is After 2 by Anna a Todd, and I am about 50% through it. If I was the author of this book and I would change one thing it would be how much the two main characters fight so much. They are so in love and it's really hard to read all the fights that they have. It's actually quite heartbreaking. So that is definitely something I would change.

I am reading "scat" by Carl Hiaasen and I am on page 103. If I was the author of the book I would change the tone of the book. The whole book is hard to get into because its so boring. I would have gosh darn explosion every once an a while or I would try to get someone to fight more often. So yeah I would have an action book rather than a boring drama kinda book.

@cweinberg6 nice blog
@sbrown seems like a nice book

I just finished reading Devon Delaney Should Totally Know Better by Lauren Barnholdt. If I was the author of this book, I would change the main character’s personality. I want Devon to be braver than she was before. Then, she would be able to overcome her fears easily. She was afraid of many things and that led her to lie to other people. Eventually in the end, she overcomes it and made good decisions.
@snturner3 Great details!
@rraisch6 I love your book!

Currently I am reading “The Hunger Games” by Suzanne Collins and I am on page number 98. I would probably change how Katniss reacts when she has to go meet up with Cinna and the team. I would make this change by altering how she felt and make her start to freak out when they began to prep her for the chariot ride with Peeta to be addressed by President Snow. I might have also changed up how their outfits look and add my own little, tweaks here and there. But all in all, that is one of the major things I would change if I was the author. If I was a bit farther into the book I might find other points that I want to change up as well.

@snturner3 - man, I really wanna read that book, but I haven't been able to get it

@jsmith4 - coolio, I really loved that book when I read it

The book I am currently reading is "Four' by Veronica Roth, I am on page 85. If I was the author of this book I would make the book much more descriptive. This is a decent book over all, but more details. Also I would have more action in the book. Over all its a decent book.

I'm currently reading "schooled" by Gordan Korman and I am on page 20. If I was the author of my book I would change the school Capricorn Anderson goes to, it is quite a bad school full of bully's it is to unrealistic because there are not that many bully's in middle school every where (Cap) goes he gets bullied for no reason. Elementary school is where most of the bullies are because no one has matured yet at all. Evidence from the book that shows there are bullies all around his school like on page 16 where even the tour guide didn't want to be seen with him ""New kid," I said aloud just in case anybody thought he was actually with me.". MY book is pretty interesting either way though but when my book is realistic fiction I would like it to be more realistic.

I am reading "Small as an Elephant" by Jennifer Richard Jacobson and I am done reading my book. If I was the author of this book I would change the cover of the book. The cover has the title and a small elephant. Since the title is "Small as an Elephant" and everyone knows that elephants are big, I would put in a big elephant. So the readers will laugh about it because the title and the picture doesn't make sense. I think they will have interest about the book and read it. Then many people will read it, and I would make a lot of money.

@Sbrown4 great job!

I am currently reading "Lock & Key" by Sarah Dessen, I am on page 209. If I was the author of this book I would change the way the main character see's herself. The reason why I say this is because the main character is so insecure about herself and her life style she changes the way she acts and she thinks less of herself. This makes the book seem more like it talks about her insecurities instead of the actual situation of the book. Don't get me wrong I still love the book just not exactly everything about it.

@gpanipinto4 That sounds great!
@jsmith4 Great job!

I am page 22 in The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. If I was the author of the book I am reading and I could change one thing I would change the characters names. I would change them because I think that Mr. Green could of used better names for the characters. If I wan the author I would probably change them to Maggie and Thomas because I think that those names fit the characters and how the act. That is what I would change in the book if I was the author.

I just finished the book "Shooter" by Walter Myers. If I was the author of the book, I would change the way the story was told. I would put it in the perspective of the shooter Leo. To show how and what happened in the shooting, and then switch it to the students perspective. I think this would have made the book a little more interesting, then how the author wrote it.

I'm reading The Tomorrow Code by Brian Falkner and on page 253. If I were the author i would change the fact that the main characters got away from the authorities. Or make it so that Zeta (pet) survived an attack from a virus. I would like to make this change because the main characters would not act distraught. Also the main characters would have an easier ending or conclusion without being wanted from the authorities.

Sbrown4: Nice job on your wants and why you would change it.

in My book the First Team by Tim Green and currently on page 15. If I was the author I would change the title of the book from first team to first experience. I would change it because it was a first experience to all the kids to see and play with each other on a field. All the kids didn't know how to work with each other on a team that had just come together. In all the kids worked it out and came together for a wonderful time.

I am reading "The House of Hades" by Rick Riordan and I have finished it. If I was the author of "The House of Hades" I would not change anything about it because in my opinion the author does a great job at it himself. The way he does this is by binding each event with the excellence that comes with each book that he writes.

I am done with my current book but I was reading “Dead Is a Battle Field” by Marlene Perez. If I was the author of my book I would change the fact that there are so many mysteries in the book. This actually makes the book really confusing and I honestly did not like that. The book was an easy read so it was okay with me but I would like a little less mysteries and a little more answers. One detail from the beginning of the book is that, the main characters brother died and they only tell you where but not how. They tell you exactly what happens at the end of the book which didn't make sense to me.

For example, when he met the old guy I would of put in the twist that it was his grandfather.In my book he always watches this guys toy store an when he's not watching he usually takes stuff. One time he got caught and got chased down by the old guy and throughout the book he gets closer and closer to him.

I am currently reading The Familiars by Adam Epstein and Andrew Jacobson and I am on page 213. If I was the author I would change that a semi-main character doesn't get killed. I would change this because this character was the teacher of the Familiars' Loyals. I would also change this because he was an important part to the history in the story. I would also change this because its so sad how he was killed in front of his students. I would also add some more humor to the dialogue. I would change this because the story gets has really tense moments and humor would lighten the story's mood. Good job Sbrown4. Amazing job gpanipinto4.

So that the parents could bring them.Now they are trapped with out their parents in a jail cell with a bunch of other kids.

I am reading Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lighting Thief by Rick Riordan, and I am on page 11. If I was the author of this book, I would change how Percy introduces himself to the reader. He doesn’t really provide an origin story for the reader. He pretty much just tells us his name, age, and how he was a troubled boarding student at Yancy Academy in upstate New York. I would have tried to make it a better origin story, a more descripted one.

I'm reading The Kill Order by James Dashner and I'm finished with the book. If I was the author of this book I wouldn't change anything. Honestly, the book is well-detailed , has an exciting plot, and keeps the reader locked in the book. However, the cover of the book should be a bit more detailed but I guess he was letting the story do all the talking. I would've added the bergs that goes flying around shorting people with darts that was filled with some sort of disease to the cover. And maybe the civilians running away from it, that way both the cover and story plot will attract the readers.

I am reading Daniel X and am currently done with the book. If I could choose one thing to change about my book it would be the ending. The ending of the book is very predictable. Some might say the ending was your "normal fairy tale ending." So Daniel ends up saving everyone and killing alien number 6. I think it would have been better if the author killed Daniel but not actually killed him. Daniel should play dead then sneak up behind him and destroy him.

I am reading what happened to goodbye by Sarah Dessen and I am on page 112. If I was the author of this book I would try to organize things more. In some of the chapters I it is hard for me to really understand what the author is trying to say and sometimes I get confused on certain aspects of the book and what the characters mean in certain parts.
