The last book that I read was Someone Like You, by Sarah Dessen. The book I am currently reading is The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Two comparisons between the books are there is a 16 year old in both, and there is a red head in both. Two contrasts are The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is fantasy and Someone Like You is realistic fiction. Another difference is there are four main characters in The Chronicles of Narnia and there are only two in Someone Like you.
The book that I am currently reading is Twilight by Stephanie Meyer. I am currently on page 392. The book that I read last nine weeks is Heaven is For Real. The comparisons are that they both have families involved in everything and there about teenagers. The differences would be that 1 is a true story and the other is a fantasy. There are many differences between the 2 but I only listed one. I hope to finish reading my book and soon start another!!!!
I just finished Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants by Ann Brashares. The last book I read was Someone Like you by Sarah Dessen. A similarity between the two books is the girls are all the same age in both books. Another similarity is they are both realistic fiction, taking place in summer where they find romance and have their friends to support them. The books are different because in Someone Like You, Scarlett becomes pregnant and none of the girls become pregnant in SOTTP. Also, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants doesn't have to deal with any deaths, while Scarlett's boyfriend dies in Someone Like You.
The book I am rereading for fun is Where the red fern grows by Wilson Rawls I am on page 113 the book I am compareing it too Bambi. In the book Red Fern Billy does alot of growing up as does Babmbi. Also they both mainly take place in the woods. The differences are that Billy is a boy, Babmbi is a dear, and also Billy is a hunter and Bambi is the hunted. I am enjoying the book.
The Book I am currently reading is Wicked by Sara Shepard. I am currently on chapter 28, page 269.
I am really enjoying this book! The last book that I read was Into The Wild by Sarah Beth Durst, They are both really good books. One comparison would be that they both have teenage girl/girls that are in a rough moment in their lives. Another would be they have a big problem in the story in Into the Wild the problem is the wild getting out, in Wicked its the lies the four girls are telling and the murder of there friend.Diffrent is that The two books have total oppisite main ideas. They also are very diffrent in the charecters types
I'm currently reading Twilight by Stephanie Meyer, I just started the book but it is so good! The last book I read was Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine. Two things that are alike in Twilight/Ella Enchanted are that the main characters are girls going through some troubles and the books are both fiction. Two things that are different in these books is that Twilight deals with wolves and vampires but Ella Enchanted delas with happy, fairy tale characters and that the Twilight books are in a series but there is only one Ella Enchanted book. Both of these books are fantastic, read them!
bferguson2: I love both of those books, hope you enjoy them! :)
sbogue: the sisterhood of the travleling pants is a dandy book, i hope you enjoyed it!
The last book that I read was Lunas Bay by Francess Lantz. The book I am currently reading is Girls in Pants(The Third Summer of the Sisterhood)by Ann Brashares. Im currently on page 80. Two comparisons between the books are they are both missing someone from a far away distance. For example in Lunas Bay shes missing her boyfriend who lives all the way in california and in the sisterhood they are on their way to different collages. Another one is that the main characters are both girls. Two contrasts in Girls in pants the genre is realistic fiction and in Lunas Bay its genre is fiction. Another difference is Lunas Bay deals with surfing and girls in pants deals with friendship. I hope to finish the book soon!:)
jdewitt6, i love the twilight series.!
bferguson2, Someone like you sounds like a good book :)!
THe last book I read was The of Six by Pittacus Lore. The book I am reading right now is Beastly Alex Flinn an dI am currently on page 45. 2 things they have in common are they both kind of center around romance. Also they are both fiction. 2 tings they have in difference are Power of Six is kind of adventurous and Beastly is all romance. Also, Power of Six is more comical and Beastly is more seriously written.
The book I'm reading is The Limit by Kristen Landon. The last book I read is The Sight by Erin Hunter.
Two things they have in common is that it is written in third person, and another comparison is that the character is whisked away (either by physical place of by mental place) and forced to do something they can't or don't want to do.
Two things they differ in is that one involves cats and one involves humans, another one is that The Limit is staged more in the future while the Sight has no real given time, but is possibly present due to the surroundings and capability of humans in the book.
@bferguson2
The Chronicles of Narnia is a good book. ;=;
@anichols2
Twilight was honestly too slow-moving and uneventful for my liking. >:|
The last book that I read was Storm chasers, by Jim reed. The book I am currently reading is Kevin everette. Two comparisons between the books are there is a male in both of them, and there is a injury that occurs in both of them . Two contrasts are that one deals with football and the other does not. Another difference is kevin everette is an aoutobiography and storm chasers is science fiction
bferguson2
what is Someone Like You about
sbogue2
what is the genre for the book Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants
I am currently reading Spell Binder.Two things that compare my book and The girl who cold fly is they both have things that would never really happen in real life.Also the two main characters feel like they lost something in life. The diffrenses or contrastments are one girl deals with ghosts and one girl deals with jelouse friends. Another diffrence is one girls feels like she can't go one without her mother and the other girls lost her parents but still have them.
anichols2: twilight is my favorite book. Go team Edward.
pdixon6: I cried when i read that book. Where the red ferns grow.
the book i am reading (or just finished reading) is Life, the Universe, and Everything by douglas adams, and thelast book i read was flush by carl haasien. a similarity would be they are both comodies, as both have funny parts. an other similarity is they both have humans as the main character, so they can be related to easily. a difference would be how funny each book is, because flush has a few funny parts, and life, the unuverse and everything is, well, hysterical. an other difference would be how relateable the chaacters are, because the character in flush is easily relateable, because of what he goes through. life, the universe and everything's character isn't so easy, because of how he reacts to things, what he goes through, etc.
anichols2: it probably wasn't a good idea to say twilight in your thing, mainly because of how i can start a big(and sometimes destructive) argument of how it messed up vampires
jdewitt6: i don't know about that...
Im currently reading Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer and im on page 501. Im comparing this book to Eclipes. They are both similar because they are both about vampires and werewolves and also they were writen by the same person but they both talk about Bella becoming a vampire. A difference would be that this book has two points of view and Eclipes is only Bellas point of view. Also another difference in this book Bella has a baby in Eclipes she does not.
anichols2 Love that book im reading the 4th one they are great but i wish they would never end.
jdewitt6 Love those books there great absolutly terific im on the 4th one and can barly put it down.
Once again I am reading Extras by Scott Westerfeld. I’m on page 128. The last book I read was Specials by Scott Westerfeld. They are both in the same series so they have a lot of similarities. Both of the books are science fiction and they both are set in the same place. Specials main character is Tally and Shay while Extras is Aya. Also in Specials the two girls are trying to find "smokies" while in Extras Aya is trying to get famous.
@ SNetherland5,
Ahhh I love the movie Beastly! Have you seen it? :)
@LRICHEY6,
I loved reading all those books. Do you like Breaking Dawn so far?
sbogue2
i saw the movies but never read the books.
The book I am reading is Old Yeller. The current page that I am on is 12. My last book was Artimis Dowl. They both have humans in them.Artimis Fowl has mystical beings while Old Yeller dons't. It just uses animals and humans.
bfergunson did a great job on comparing and contrasting her two books.
anichols also did a good job.
bferguson2
I love that book, it's the cutest thing ever!
Bferguson2
Is the book better than the movie? Everyone says the book is always better, but it never interested me in reading it.
sbogue2
I loved the movie, but i didn't like the book as much. What do you like more?
Sbogue2
I loved that movie, its weird when they made the second one, but i honestly couldn't catch on in the movie, is the book more detailed and less consfusing?
bferguson2..That seems like a great book, Someone Like You. Do you recomend this, I just read one of her books Into to Wild. I liked it a lot.
The last book that i read was The Giver. The book I am currently reading is The Strange Case of Oragami Yoda, by Tom Anglegerger. I am on page 68. The two things that are the same is that both the main characters are boys, and there's a part in both where they are afraid to ask out a girl. Two things that are different though is that in the book i am currently reading the character is a nerd, and in the Giver the character was a hero. Another different is the setting in The Giver is in a cumminty, and the setting in Oragami Yoda is in a school. I am reading this book with Sachi and it's really funny. I would reccomend this book to anyone who wants to have a good laugh.
I am readin The Strange Case of Origami Yoda by Tom Angleberger. I am currently on page 90. The book I last read was Fairest. It is different because the main character in Fairest was a girl Aza and in the book i am currently reading is boys. They are set in different time periods. In Fairest it was in a castle a long time ago and in Origami its in middle school. It is alike because both characters are trying to figure something else, The boys are figuring if Origami Yoda is real and in Fairest Aza is trying to find out why is Ivi beautiful and how to make herself beautiful. It is also showing how the characters are weird. Dwight has a Origami Yoda and talks to himself and "pretends" to talk as Yoda and Aza can sing and illuse the best in the land, and no one can illuse.
I am currently reading Artemis Fowl The Opal Deception by Eoin Colfer. I am currently on page 299. The last book I read was Artemis Fowl the Arctic Incident. Two comparisons of my books are, both have similar settings in the fairy world. Both have the same characters. However, they have different plots and times.
sbouge2, Someone like you sounds depressing.
jdiehl6, your books are very different.
The book i am currntly reading but just finished was called dragons bait ,the book i read before that was called zombie valintine. They are alike by they are both fantcy.The way they are different is one is about zombies and one is about dragons and witchs.Over all they are both good books.id recumend this boook to people who like fantcy.
bfergonson
thats sound lijke a goood book to read.
SBOGUE
Is there a movie to that book????
jdiehl6, did you ever see the play? I loved that book and my aunt told me about the Broadway musical!
jdewitt6, which book did you like more? Did you read the whole Twilight series? I really liked your comparisons!
I am currently reading Shattered by Paul Langan. I am on page 13. One comparision about both of the books is that the main characters feel lonely and have no one to really share their feelings with. Another comparison is that the main characters close friends, are not that close to each other. A difference about the two books is that the last book I read, the main character is half vampire and human, and the book I am currently reading the main character is a normal teen who has a secret that has to come out soon. Lastly, a difference about the two stories is that Darcy (the main character of current book) has a lie that is tearing her family apart, and Vladimir (last books main character) is just alone and just wants his family to be closer and have the girl of his dreams.
@ bferguson2- Nice job on wording your two comparisons and your two contrasts. Your current book seems intresting.
@ anichols2- I never really liked twlight, but the books really got me into it.
bfurguson; i dont know much about that books but judgeing by what your saying it sounds like you injoy them alot
flush pg. 135
I just finished reading hoot and now i am reading flush. There are so many diffrances like the main charaters.Also the main idea of the books are so diffrent.But they had the same authors.And they are about kids getting introuble.
pdixon; wow,i have a book alot simular to what your reading or reading dont know if you herd of the book fern verdent and silver rose

Is the Chronicles of Narnia books good? I have never read on before.
kflanagan6,
That was very well written, good job.:)
Jfox5,
yes I have seen the movie. It is good but the book is a lot different.
title:traitors Author:Andrew Snaden page num.182. gratchev and the officer do things carfully comparison gratchev and the officer do not fight unless told too. contrasts the officer has a dog but gratchev doesn't.another is gratchev hates officer that do bust criminals but the officer loves that.
The last book I read was Breaking Dawn by Stephanie Meyer.I am currently reading My almost Epic Summer. Two comparisions that they both share are that they both talk about life changes and they both have a problem that needs to bve solved. The two contrasts are in Breaking Dawn it is all about vampires and in My almost Epic Summer its about a human-girl. The second difference is that ion Breaking Dawn they have more than 2 main characters and in My almost Epic Summer they have only 1.
bferguson2: those book are good!
bferguson2 i read that book it's good.
sbouge2: that sounds like a good book!!(:
anichols2 i haven't read that book but i would like to.
The book i am currently reading is The Forerunner Saga, Halo:Cryptum, by Gregg Bear. I am currently on page 234. The book Im comparring it to is Halo:First Strike, by Eric Nylund. The major simmilarity between the two books is that they take place in the Halo universe. The major difference between them is the date that they are set. First Strike is set over five hundred years in the future. Cryptum is set over 100,000 years in the past. Another difference is the main characters in the books. First Strike is centered primarily on Master Chief Petty Officer, John 117. Cryptum is centered on the adolecent forerunner, Bornstellar, and the legendary forerunner warrior, The Didact. These books are great masterpieces of liturature.
@Jfox5 yes i do like breaking dawn its the best book out of the series i think.
The two books i am comparing is "Among the Imposters" by Margaret P. Haddix and "Among the Barons" by Maragret P. HAaddix. In "Among the Barons" I am currently on page 4.Two similarites that both of the books have is that they are written by the same author and both are shadow children books.Two differences is " Among the Imposters"is about a poor boy and "Among the Barons" is about Rich people with 3rd children.
The last book that I read (I'm not sure the title on English)was about the difficult life of one girl and her family. The story is from her birth to her death. And the book I am currently reading is Red Sails,by Alexander Grin. The both books describe the problems in life of different people.
I am currently reading This World We Live In by Susan Beth Pfeffer. I'm on page 165. The last book I have read is Halo the Fall of Reach. One comparrison between them is that they both have a world-wide problem. Another is that they both include very few main charictars.
The last book I read was Everlost. The book I am currently reading now is Savvy by: Ingrid Law and I am on page 71. Two comparisons between those books is that its about family and there is a 13 year old in both. Two contrast are Everlost is about ghosts and the supernatural, while Savvy is about superheroes currently like my book so far. I hope it gets better!
The book that I am currently reading is called Tangerine. The author is by Edward Bloor. I am on page 229. The last book I read was Elephant Run by Roland Smith. Two comparisons between the books is their are boys as both main characters. Also both involve parents that are very concerned. Two contrasts between the books is,the boy in Tangerine is a nerd that has glasses. In the book Elephant Run,the boy is not scared off much. Another contrast is in the book Tangerine the settings is a middle school. The settings in Elephant Run is a wild jungle. Can wait untile I read the ending.
@bferguson2 I never read Twilight before but it sounds like a good book.
@sbogue2 I have never read Traveling Pants but it also sounds like a really great book.
awilson2 Shattered sounds interesting. I'd like to read it.
lmartinez5 both books sounds like a really good books. I thing Girls in Pants especially interesting. Maybe I'll read it!
The book I am currently reading is called Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins and I am on page 140 out of 400. The other book was called Catching Fire also by Suzanne Collins. The two books are both from the same series. The first similarity is that it has the same characters and setting. The other similarity is that there both about a destopian country in the future. One of the differences is that the conflict in the two books are different. The other difference is the fact that the relationships between the characters are different. They go from maintaining an icy distance to becoming friends again. Those are the similarities and differences between the two books.
bferguson2,
I love the song that has the same title as your book!
anichols2,
I absolutely love that series!
Title: The Son of Neptune
Author: Rick Riordan
Page: 7
two things that are the same between "The Son of Neptune" and "The Lost Hero" is that both of main characters lost their memory. along with the fact both started with a monster ready to attack the main character. the differences are the first monster the main characters fight are not the same. in "The Lost Hero", Jason battled Dylan, the ventus (or storm spirit), while percy fights gorgons, which are snakes. the other difference is the camp they go to. Jason travels to Camp Half-Blood, while Percy travels to a Roman camp.
@zphillips5
when i look at how you did the blog for traitors, i dosn't make sense to me. guess i'll have to get the book and read it to know what you're talking about.
@lwooley5
i've read the first book of that series. i hope the other two are better
The book I am currently reading is "Beastly". The authoris Alex Flinn. I am on page 20. The book I am comparing thisto is "Twilight". One comparison i have between this book is that there are two normal boys that are turned into beasts. A contrast I have is that they don't turn into the beast the same way.
sbogue2 great job at putting everything you need to
bferguson2 i have never heard of the book " Someone Like You" but i have read the other book
Bferguson2, I have heard of that book before. Is it good?
Anichols2, I watched twilight last night!I have not read the book though.
killer pizza the aouthor is rlstine, i am currently finished with the book. The book that i am using to compare is shark attacks on man. Both books are erie, suspensfull,and good books at that.
pdixon that sounds like a cool book.
sbougue2 is it a good book?
Im reading eldest. im on page 83. The author is christopher paolini. The book i read last was eragon. it was the first book in the series, eldest is the second.
They both have the same main character but in eragon eragon has brom ,as stroyteller, to guide him but in but in eldest he has arya. in eragon he hunting the razac but in eldest hes going to the land of the elves. In both of the books he is in a lot of danger.
The last book I read was Peter Pan by J.M. Barrie and the book I'm currently reading right now is World War II: Heros by Allan Zullo and I'm on page 55 on it. Peter Pan and WWII Heros are different because Peter Pan is based on one or two main characters but WWII heros has ten main characters. They are also different because Peter Pan is a fantasy while WWII Heros is a historical fiction. They are alike because they are based on a third person perspective. They both the characters use self defense.
@bferguson2
thats a great book
@anichols2
I heard heaven for real was a good book too.
A Feast for Crows pg. 150
The last book I read was in the same series as the one I am currently reading. Most of the characters are the same as the one before. The book I am reading has added some characters, but soem died in the last book. Also, this book revolves around King's Landing, when my last book had to do with all of Westeros.
pdixon6,
I lopve the book "Wher the Red Fern Grows." The is one of my favorites.
anichols2,
I haven't ever heard of "Heaven is for Real." I might look that book up and check it out.
Last book: The Gardnener
Current book: Star Girl
Author: Jerry Spinelli
Page: as of today, 179. I am almost done!!!
A similarity of "The Gardener" and "Stargirl" is that the main characters are both consitered strange. In "the gardener", Liala is an autotrough. She can make her own food out of th e sun like a plant.Star girl is a strange girl and acts strange like she sings and plays her ukilale on peoples birthdays and she gives everybody a chocolate during homeroom. She carries a rat named Cinnamon and lots of other weird things. The diference is that one is a human, and one is an autotrough. Liala is again, an autotrough, and Stargirl is a human.
The book that I am currently redaing is Copper Sun by Sharon M. Draper. I am on page 5 because I just started. The last book I read was November Blues by Sharon M. Draper. A comparison is that the main character in November Blues; November had to take care of her little brother and in Copper Sun Amari has to take care of her little brother.Another comparison is that the books are both written by the same person. The difference is that in November Blues, November just lives in the United States and is pregnant, but in Copper Sun Amari is already engaged and she lives in Africa. Anither difference is that November Blues is realistic fiction and Copper Sun is historical fiction.
bferguson2
that book is amazing!!
hope you like it
the other book you read sounds really good.
anichols2
ive heard a lot about twilight and by what you say that book heavan is for real it must be a good book
I just finished my book: Fat Kid Rules the World by K.L. Going. So I’m going to compare/contrast that book and Varjak Paw for this blog! Two comparisons would be that the main character’s best friend lives on the streets; and that the settings are in a city. Two contrasts would be that in Fat Kid Rules the World, Troy meets Curt by trying to commit suicide. But in Varjak Paw, Varjak meets Holly by sleeping in her house. Another difference would be that in Varjak Paw, Varjak has to learn how to fight. But in Fat Kid Rules the World, Troy has to learn how to play the drums.
Sbogue2:
Did you know that you and Brooke last read the same book?
LOGANBAGLEY123456:
Okay I know you are not in all of Mrs. Thomas’s periods!
The book I'm currently reading is Through the Hidden Door by Rosemary Wells. I'm on page 99 at the moment. The last book I read was Nevermind by Avi. One comparison of these two books is that they both have boys around the same age who are extremely immature. Another comparison about them are that there seems to be a lot of lying going on in both of the books, and people don't seem to have trouble with lying to other people. A contrast about the two books are that in the book I'm currently reading there aren't any twins. Another contrast is that in the current book I'm reading, the two main characters are both boys, in the last book I read the two main characters were a boy and a girl.
hpeel2, my sisters read that book and they said that they really liked it, what do you think about the book?
bferguson, have you seen the Narnia movies? In my opinion they're really good, and I highly suggest you watch them if you haven't.
The last book I read is The Son of Neptune, by Rick Riordan. The book that I'm currently reading Island of the Aunts by Eva Ibbotson and I'm on page 176. The two comparisons would be there are magical/mythical creatures in both of the books, and both have more than one main characters. For the contrast, The Son of Neptune is about Greek mythology, Island of the Aunts is not. The Son of Neptune has three main characters, Frank, Hazel, and Percy; Island of the Aunts has two, Minette and Fabio.
bferguson2, isn't the book and the movie exactly the same?
Sbogue2, I hope you are enjoying your book. The movie however was good, but I wouldn't say it's my favorite.
anichols2, I saw the author of the book in the Today show.
Jdiehl6, everyone said Into The Wild is such a good book but I haven't had a chance to read it.
The last book I read was Switched by R.L Stine. The book I am currently reading is Woods Runner by Gary Paulsen. Two Comparisons in my book would be, they are both very suspenssfull, and they both have a scene involving the woods. Two Contrasts in my book are Woods Runner is Realistic fiction and Switched is fantasy. Another difference in these books is Woods Runner is about a teenage boy, and Switched is about a teenage girl. Also I am currently on page 43 of Woods Runner and I can't wait to finish!
I'am currently reading copper sun. The author is Shannon M. Draper. I'm on page 14. I'm comparing Storm Runners and Copper sun. They are totally different from each other because this book is from a young black girl who is telling about her life in Africa. The Storm Runners book is about John Masters was struck by lightning and it changed his life. After having lost his wife and daughter in a tragic accident, John was living his life for his son Chase. He made a good living as a building contractor.
Jdale2,
I wonder is the book totally different from the movie.
sbogue2,
I like how you added all the things that suppose to be there.
Abeatty5,are you enjoying killer pizza? It sounds like a good book I might read it soon.
Jdale2, have you seen the movie, if so which do you think is better?
The book I'm currently reading is A Crack in the Sky. Written by Mark Peter Hughes. I'm currently on page 28. The two comparisons between this and Son of Neptune is that they are both fiction and they're both adventure. The two contrasts would be that Crack in the Sky is Sci-Fi and Son of Neptune is fantasy and also that Son of Neptune takes place in modern day but Crack in the sky is set in the distant future.
@BFerguson2
I heard the chronicles of Narnia is a good series.
@anichols2
my mother and sister read heaven is for real.
I am currently reading Airball My Life In Briefs. The author is L.D. Harkrader. I am currently on page 40. The last book I read was The Book of Time, by Guiliane Prevost. Two similarities they have are, the main character is a teenage boy; and both of the main characters have to overcome their fears throughout the book. Two differences are, the book Airball is told in first person, where as The Book of Time is told in third person. The second difference is that Airball is about Basketball, and The Book of Time is about time traveling.
@bferguson2 Both of my books have teenagers in them too.
@ejones6 Is the book Storm Chashers just like the show?
I am currently reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix, by J.K. Rowling. The last book I read was Nancy Drew and the Brass Bound Trunk by Carolyn Keene. These books are similar because they both have a 'bad guy'. They are also similar because there are three main characters in each of them. However, Nancy Drew is a mystery book, while Harry Potter is a fantasy with mythical creatures like thestrals. Another difference is that most of the characters in Nancy Drew are static characters, and the characters in Harry Potter are more dynamic.
pdixon6;
I like how you made the contrast between hunter/ being hunted
drumore2;
I've read both of those, they're good books.
The last book I read was Mockingjay. I am currently on page 30 of the book Gregor the Overlander, by Suzanne Collins. Both of the books have main characters that are adventurous and love their families. In Mockingjay, Katniss loves her sister Prim and mom, which has made her go through the Hunger Games. In Gregor the Overlander, he loves his sister and tries to look for her when she goes missing into the tunnel. Also, they both have the same author. One difference is the that the Mockingjay genre is science fiction, while Gregor the Overlander is fantasy. Another is the storylines. In Mockingjay,Katniss has to overthrow the evil government, while in what I've read of Gregor, he is trapped in another land.
I'm curretly reading is Everlost by Neal Shusterman.I just started, and I'm on page 6.The last book I read was Dealing with dragon by Patricia C. Wrede. Two comparisons between Everlost and Dealing With Dragons is both of them are imaginative book,and the main characters try to figure out something complecated. Two contrasts are Everlost is sci-fi and Dealing With Dragons are fantasy. The other contrast is Dealing with Dragons's main characters acts almost individually but Everlost main characters act as a group.
pdixon6, I've read that book! The ending is really sad.
kflanagan6, Isn't The Giver what we read last year? I remember it being really good.
amanibusan6, the title of the book you've just finished sounds really interesting. It's sounds weird that Troy meets the other person by trying to commit suicide.
SNetherland5, I hard a lot about Beastly. I've never tried before, but it seems really nice.I didn't really knowed that Beastly is all romace,though.
The last book I read was Warriors:Starlight. The current book I am reading is Warriors:Twilight. They are both by Erin Hunter. For Twilight, I am currently on page 146. I cant really compare and contrast these books because they are in a series of books. I could try though. They are centered around the same characters and they are in the same series but they have different events in the books.
I am currently reading Varjak Paw and I am around page 140. The last book I read is the Red Pyramid by Rick Riordan. Two similarities are that they are both fantasy books, also they have the theme good vs evil. Two differences are that one of the books has to do with gods and magic and the other one is about cats that can fight, also the setting of Varjak Paw takes place in a city while the Red Pyramid takes place all around the world.
sbogue2 that book sounds different than what i thought it was about. is it good
ejones6 i have never read storm chasers but I've heard of it is it good?
I am currently reading double dutch by Sharon M Draper and i am on page 57. I am using thirst no.4 to compare my old book with my new book. Thirst is very different from Double dutch. Thirst is fiction with vampires and deamons while Double dutch is realistic fiction and has to deal with real life situations. While thirst could never possibly be real.But meanwhile both books are different they are also very much alike aside from they both having a main characters and settings but they both find compassion and love and they both have a verbig but interesting secret.
bferguson2 what made you pick this book and why do you like it? If you could choose anybody who would be your favorite character and why?
The Lone Wolf- Wolves of the Beyond, Kathryn Lansky I have currenly finished the book. the first contrast is that Faolan was raised by a bear instead of his mother the wolf because he was a malcadah or he was born with a deformity. Another difference is Faolan is alot bigger than regular wolves because his mother the bear made him jump when he was little. A comparison is he likes to gnaw on bones and so do the other wolves in a clan that he knows. One last comparison is Faolan had two mothers that bothe gave him milk when he was young.
anichols2 do you like the book so far?
bferguson2, I saw the movie the lion, the witch, and the wardrobe and it was good so i want to read the book.
The book that im reading now is Mary Poppins by L.P. Travers, and im on page 22. The last book that i read was Runaway by Wendelin Van Draanen.They are different because Runaway takes place in America, and Mary Poppins takes place in England.Also,the character in Runaway is getting away from something while Mary Poppins is ariving. They are similar because the main characters are both girls and they both involve new beginings sort of.
anichols, wow which one is th true story?
I'm currently reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix by J.K. Rowling and I'm also on page four hundred and seventy one. The book I read before this one was Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. The first contrast would be the Triwizard Tournament in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and the normal school year in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Another contrast would be the danger of Voldemort lurking over everyone who goes to the school in the book I’m currently reading and the safety of knowing Voldemort was out of power in the last book I read. The first comparison would be the similarity of the series of questions the books leave you asking until the last few chapters where they unravel. Another comparison would be Harry’s crush on Cho Chang, who he likes through both books.
bferguson2, Is the book as entertaining as the movie? Also, did the movie leave out any key details that the book didn't?
anichols2, I loved the book that you are currently reading. Did you enjoy it as much as the movie?
I am currently reading Breaking Dawn by stephenie Myer. And the book that i finished last was A Time To Kill by John Grisham. In A TIme To Kill, it was more of a mystery kind of book. And in Breaking Dawn, there is more suspense to see what will happen. Not exactly like a mystery, but simular. And in both the books they are both interesting.
