I have currently finished the book Wolves of the beyond Shadow wolf by Kathryn Lasky. One cuase is if Falon hadnt tripped in the byrgiss he would not have had to work so hard on carving his bone. If heep didnt make that annoying sound with his teeth falon would not have fell. He missed his cue to go after the moose and he fell when he tried to catch back up so he was given a low score.

I am currently reading "Beastly". The author is Alex Flinn, and I am on page 100. A cause and effect situation in this book is that when Kyle treated Kendra wrong by standing her up at the dance she turned Kyle into a beast. The effect would be different because it he had tryed to be nice and go to the dance with her she wouldn't have did that. But she gave him another chance because if he can get someone to fall in love with him for the way he is, he will change back.

I am currently reading "shattered" by Paul Langon. Im on page 95. The cause of this book is that Darcy (the main character) made a mistake and lied for the longest and doesnt know how to deal with it. The effect is that she gets into deep trouble and probably is never going to make another mistake ever again.

I am currently reading The Last Olmypian by Rick Riordan. I'm on page 73 and this is the last book of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. The cause is having to fight in this huge war against the Gods and the Titans, effects people's lives becuse they have to deal with the death of their loved ones. For example, when Percy goes on a missions to take down Luke, a leader for the Titans, he takes Charles Beckendorf with him and he passes away. so, his girlfriend Silena back at Camp Half Blood has to deal with his death. The effect would change if the war had never started and the Titans were trying to kill percy because they knew he had a prophecy when he turned 16 to kill all the Titans.

The book i am currently reading The Forerunner saga's Halo:Cryptum, by Greg Bear. One major cause and effect situation i can draw from my book lies deep in the setting and plot of the story. Many years prior to the books current setting, the character referred to as the Didact was exiled by the Forerunners ruling government at the time. In his absence, the primary political figure, Master Builder Faber whom was responsible for his exile, gained even more power and corrupting the Forerunner Ecumene. Had things been different, and the Didact not been exiled. The story would be greatly altered as far as the main plot.

Ok so I finished Bambi over the break its by Felix Salten. One morning it had been raining and it was foggy and Bambi walked onto the meadow like he normally did and was shot in the shoulder. The cause is it was foggy and the effect is Bambi was shot. I didnt really enjoy this book because mainly its about a deer growing up, but thats me. I hope to find a new enjoyable book soon.

I am currently reading Out of my Mind. I am on the 5th Chaoter I got this for Christmas and wanted to read it right away. I am not that far into my book but I feel depressed reading it. The Cause is the girl in my book has a deises which makes her parralyzed she cannot pick up anything not even a t.v. remote. She is really smart but she can't talk she can't say one word. Which leads a doctor into thinking she is mentally retarded. She wants to go to school but the doctor tells her parent to foget about her and send her to a handicap school, and all of that is because she can't talk. This book really gets me down but hopefully it will end happily.

The book i currently just finshed was a called dragons bait. The effect of it was the towns people marching one by one into her shop and accuseing her of being a witch. The cause of this is that she is sent to be eaten by a dragon and the dragon is friendly .She want revenge on the towns people for sending her to her dealth. Then before she is about to she remember her father being sick and in the town so can she kill her father or not kill the town and always want revenge?!

the book i am currently reading is diary of a wimpy kid: cabin fever by jeff kinney, and i am on page 37. a cause and effect situation would be the playground equipment being removed because of saftey issues. the effect is that playground equipment is being removed because people are getting hurt on them. if the cause was people being carful or the school paying for damages, then the equipment wouldn't be removed. the equipment is removed because the school is tired of paying for damages.

chunt6 a.k.a metroidman97 said...

I've currently finished «The Catcher in the Rye» by J. Salinger. The main Cause and Effect situation in this book is the expulsion from the school of the main character, whose name is Holden. This is the cause. And the effect of this is that Holden come back home and fell in different situations. I really enjoy this book and I like discussions and thoughts of the main character.

the book i'm currently reading is called falling from grace bvy S.L. Naeole. I'm currently on page 269. The cause of my book is that grace's friend Graham stops hanging out with her because he started dating the person that made Graces life miserable from the beginning. The effect was that she was fortunate enough to meet the love of her life, a wingless angel, Robert Bellegarde. who changes her life forever.

crichardson2 said...

@tgarrison2 if you like wolf books the linger series is completely awesome you should read it.

The book I am currently reading is The Lying Game by Sara Shepard. An example of a cause and effect situation in my book would be the cause is Emma and Sutton switch places, so Emma lives Sutton's life and Sutton pretends to be Emma to go and find their birthmother. I'm currently on page 15, which is not far into the book, but it's already a page turner. The author Sara Shepard also is the author of the Pretty Little Liar series, and that is my favorite book series.

anichols2 said...

The book I am currently reading is Twilight by Stephanie Meyer. I am currenly on page 490, so I am almost done with the book. A cause that would be in this book is that Bella moves to Forks and the effect is that she falls in love with Edward. If she never moved to Forks, she would have never met Edward and the story would not go on like it does. There would be a totally different plot.

anichols2 said...

sbogue2,
Would you read this book again?

kwilliams2 said...

The book I am currently reading is Fast Forward by Celeste O. Norfleet and I am on page 34. One cause is that the main character Kenisha got into a fight with one of the mean girls named courtney and one effect could be she almost got expelled from her private school. The effect would change if Kenisha would have never got into a fight she would have never got in trouble and she wouldnt have to go to emotional therapy for anger management.

anichols2 said...

bferguson2,
Is this a book you would read again? And who would you reccomend this to?

SNetherland said...

I am currently reading the book 13 Reasons Why by Jay Asher. Right now I am on page 126 and this book is very creepy and sad. An exapmle of cause and effect is one of the main characters Hannah commits suicide because people did things to her. The cause is people were mean to Hannah and the effect is she commited suicide. The effect could have been changed if people weren't so mean to Hannah because she would'nt have felt bullied and wouldn't have died.

Jfox5 said...

I just finished reading Extras by Scott Westerfeld. A cause and effect situation in my book was when Aya had to make a choice to either kick a story on the sly girls or to keep their secret. Aya decided to kick the story. The effect was the sly girls found out and got mad at her. If she had decided to keep the secret then they would of all still be friends.

I just finished the book The Starnge Case Of Oragami Yoda. This book was ok but i wouldn't reccomend it to many people, unlees your reading it with a friend just for jokes. I read this book with Sachi Pena. One of the characters named Harvey went to the bathroom early in the morning and accidentally spilled water on his pants. As soon as he walked out of the bathroom everybody started making fun of him and saying that he peed himslef. I he wouldn't have gone to the bathroom in the morning nobody would have thought that he peed his pants. Also if he had an extra change of colthes, everything would have been better.

I am starting a book called Shanghaied by David Paul Collins and am on page 13. Jack decided that he wanted to travel at 15 and because of this he ran away from home at 3 in the morning. If he hadn't had the guts to he wouldn't have left. Also if his mother had said something about the way he acted he wouldn't have been able to leave her, but none of this happened. Also It would change if he deciided he didn't want to leave his house and family that he loved so much, he would be at home. It is a true story and i think one of thes should have happened since it is terrible to leave your family.

I remember you talking about reading those books, do you like them so far?

amanibusan6 said...

I am currently reading The Black Book of Secrets by F.E. Higgins and I am on page 27. The cause would be that Ludlow kicked his dad in the stomach while Barton Gumbroot (the tooth surgeon), was pulling out Ludlow’s teeth. One effect would be that Barton couldn’t sell Ludlow’s teeth, so he didn’t get any money. This effect would’ve changed if Ludlow didn’t kick his dad and run away; therefore Barton could’ve had more money. I think Ludlow did the right thing to run away because I couldn’t handle someone pulling out ALL of my teeth!

The book I am currently reading is "Shattered". The author of my book is Paul Langan. I'm currently on page 19. The book i am curremtly reading is Rules. The author of my book is Cythia Lord. The current page that i am on is 49. A cause and effect situation in the book is that because the main character's mother overspent her money and went over the "Limit", he was whisked away to a prison-like camp that would keep him working there until the debt was repaid.

However, if his mom didn't overspend, then he would have never had to go to the camp in fe first place.

She has dreamed of being a warrior, having a mate, and being a mother. Since Starclan reincarneted Cinderpelts spirit as Cinderheart, they have given her another chance.Since Yellowfang became so distracted by the affairs of the dark forest, she told Jayfeather to reveal Cinderhearts past to her because the clan needs a second medicine cat.

A feast for Crows by George R.R. Martin, Page 477
One effect that has occured in my book is that a wildling woman named Gilly had to switch her child for a King's newborn son so the boy would not be killed. Since she did this, the ride across the sea has been terrible for her because every time Sam mentions how happy she will be with her son, she knows that the child she has is not hers. If he had never seen the sky burst there would be no plot to the book.

The effect is that Kirby's coach makes the team wear nothing but boxers. This makes their basketball super embarrassed, so now they are not worried about messing up on the court so they play better. BBedel6, That Hunger Games series is the coolest book series I have ever read! Although the plot of the story is kind of sad and maddening, I really like it!

Im reading Marry Poppins by P.L. Travers and im on page 72. One cause and effect situation is that since Ms. Lark likes to spoil her dog, Andrew, Andrew wants to be like other dogs, which is why he made a dog friend and made ms. Lark let his new friend live with them. If Ms. Lark had treated Andrew normaly, he wouldn't have run away and roamed around the Park with his dog friend, and 'talked' to street dogs.

@SLaw5 - so is Underland a magical place or is it more realistic, like underlanders just live underground.

I am currently reading "Eleventh Grade Burns" by Heather Brewer.I'm on page 92 currently. The book has a troubled vampire boy in it going through a tough time. He recently broke up with his girlfriend ,who he had liked for years, to keep her safe. To keep her safe from both him, and people that are trying to kill him. A cause in the story so for is him breaking up with his girlfriend and the effect would be her being very mad at him. Mainly for not giving her a reason why he was dumping her. But if the cause was to be different and he did not dump her, she would still be in love with him. However she would also be in harm's way

I just finished the book Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer. I am not on a page because i finished the book. One cause and effect was that Bella married Edward, and that made Jacob mad. If she wouldn't of married Edward, Jacob probably would not have gotten made and flipped out. And he would of been happy.

tgarrison2,
That sounds complicated.

The book I am currently reading is EVERLOST by Neal Shusterman and I'm on page 198.
One main effect of this book is that Nick and Allie got caught halfway between life and death, in a sort of limbo known and Everlost.
The cause of this effect is their family were (Nick's family and Allie's family. They didn't even know each other until there was an car accident) were driving on a hairpin turn, above the dead forest and crashed each other. Unfortunately, Nick and Allie fall in to the dead forest. In other words, they died.
If there wasn't any kind of accident or they just stayed at home, they didn't had to die and miss their family.

sbogue2, that book sounds really interesting and it's so sad that they have to deal with the death of their loved ones.

jdiehl6, your comment is making me to read that book! I feel kind of bad when the doctor tells her parent to forget about her and send her to a handicap school just because she can't talk.

'I am currently reading a book called Through the Hidden Door by Rosemary Wells, and I'm on page 128. A cause in my book is that Barney's friends wanted to cheat off of his notes for an exam and he said no. The effect of this is that his friends got angry and stole his notes from his room while he was sleeping and probably were planning to get him in trouble with them if they got caught. If Barney had decided to give them the notes when they asked for them, then they would have been a lot nicer and would most likely not try and get him in trouble. Either way Barney's so called "friends" would have taken the notes to cheat off of them anyways.

SNetherland, I'm curious.... what made you decide to read a creepy book like that?

bhoffmann2 said...

NPegg2, I like how you just blatantly said that his mom died, you were like and so she died. By the way, is that book very similar to the movie?

title: The Son of Neptune
author: Rick Riordan
page: 395
Frank had to get away from a army of ogres. because of that, his house got burnt down along with his grandmother. if he chose to fight the ogres, two different things could've happened. one: possibly the house wouldn't have been burnt and the ogres would be dead- for a short time anyway. or two: he would be the ogre's dinner.

I am currently reading Ghost in the Machine by Patrick Carlson. I am on page 154 and the cause is that Ryan followed Sarah into the dredge. The effect is that Ryan fell off the dredge will being persued by dead old Joe Bush. He is also not allowed to see Sarah ever again. He is currently investigating the secret society of the crossbones.

The book I am currently reading is Whisper in the Dark by Joseph Bruchac and I am on page 87. A cause in the story is when the phone first started to ring and Maddy answered it. She at first thought it was her friend Brittany who was playing a joke on her but then thought it was her friend Roger. But it was actually The Whisper in the Dark. The effect is that it carved "I Am Here" on her door. It also attacked her dog and almost killed her. I think that if Maddy would not have answered the phone the second time all of the could have been prevented.

I was reading Extras by Scott Westerfeld. One cause in the book would be Aya sneaked in a video camera and hid it. The effect was she found out a train was coming so she warned the sly girls. if Aya hadn't hid the camera she wouldn't have known a train was coming.
