I'm currently reading Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine, I'm almost done with it! If I could ask the author two questions, the first one would be: Can you connect to the book in any way because I would want to know what made him/her want to write the book. The second question would be: Do you like fairy tales because this book is a fairy tale happy ending book. I cannot wait to finish my book! It's quite dandy, you should read it :).

The book I am currently reading is Artemi Fowl The Opal Deception by Eion Colfer. I am currenly on page 149. A question I have for the author is why did you make another one? In the previous book Artemis is brainwashed and the adventures sort of end. Another question I have is how does Artemis defeat fairies with advanced technolgy.

Jdewitt6, where is the setting in your book?

If i could ask the author of my book two questions on would be why do you put animals on all of your book covers. And the second reason would be why do you right about kids getting into trouble.I think that people like to read the books because some people can relate to it.

I am currently reading The Red Pyramid by Rick Riordan. If I could ask the author two questions I would ask where he got the idea for this book. Also is this his favorite book that he wrote. I would ask where he got the idea because he just came up with a book about egyptian gods and its a weird topic. I would ask if its his favorite book because its different from his other one and its more interesting.

The book that I am currently reading is the first book in the Cronicles of Narnia series, the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, by C.S. Lewis. I am almost done with it, about 30 pages left! If I could ask C.S. Lewis two questions, one of them would be: how did you come up with such a fascinating story? I want to know this because the story of the book is so interesting. Did he have a dream? Did he ever experience something like this? My second question would have to be: why did you pick "Narnia" to be the name of the world the children venture into? I want to know this because that's a name/place that I've never even heard of! I really do like the book, and can't wait to find out what happens to the 4 children :)

I am reading The Runaway Dolls by Ann .M. Martin. I am currently on page 35. The two questions I would ask the author is "What made you write this book?" And "Has being an author changed your view of things?" I would ask these questions because I think being an author writing from your own mind can sometimes change the way you look at life.

npegg2 said...

hpeel2 i have never read an artemis fowl book before are they good?

I am currently reading Twilight by Stephanie Meyer and I am on page 346. 1 question that I would ask the author is 'Why did you choose to write about vampires?' becasue I know that vampires are from old american history. The 2nd question that I would ask the author is 'Why did you make this book so long?' because all of the Twilight series are like 500 pages. I can't wait to finish the book and watch the movie again!!!

bferguson2 said...

jdewitt6,
I love that book AND the movie!
And I completely agree with you on the two questions you selected. Ella Enchanted is such an awesome story, so it'd be cool to find out HOW or WHY Gail Carson Levine wrote the book, and it would also be a cool little fun fact to know if she likes fairy tales since the story is most definitely a fairy tale! Tell me how you liked the book when you're finished with it :)

aneal2 said...

Hpeel: That is a book i have not yet begun to read.

anichols2 said...

jdewitt6,
What is your book about?

aneal2 said...

Jdewitt6: I love that book.

npegg2 said...

bferguson2 i have seen the movie but i havent read the book are there any differences.

bferguson2 said...

anichols2,
The Twilight Saga books are and ALWAYS will be my favorite book series, but you're right, I've always wondered why Stephanie Myer chose to right about vampires. There's not a lot of pop culture out there that are about vampires, so it'd be pretty neat to find out WHY she chose vampires. :)

anichols2 said...

aneal2,
Would you like to read this book again?

The Lightnnig Thief, By Rick Riordan.I am currently on page 159.One question I would ask the author is why don't Percy and Annabell ever date or go out. I asked this question be cuase they would seem like the perfect couple. The second question I would ask is why did'nt Zeus have a kid? He would be a great father.

My book is Halo:First Strike, by Eric Nylund. The first thing i would ask is how he was able to expand from the previous book in the franchise, which was writen by another author. I ask this because im interested as to how he was able to keep things together without altering the story. Lastly i ask if he plays halo.

snetherland5 said...

I am currently reading the book The Power of Six by Pittacus Lore and am on page 169. The first question I would ask the auothor would be: Where did you get the idea to write this book? I would ask him this beacuse the whole idea of the story is really weird and unique so I wonder if he thought of it or got an idea from somewhere. The second question I would ask would be: Do you actually believe in all of the alien theroies? At the end of the book under the authors biography, it says that he cannot not be found beacause he was abductuted. I wonder if he truly believe in this story or is just trying to be funny.

dgillespie5 said...

BFerguson2,

The book im reading is The Pull of the Ocean. By Jean-claude Mourlevat. The first question I would ask would be Why did you name the book the Pull of the Ocean because it doesnt say anything about the ocean. Another question I would ask would be how did you come up with the names of the characters. They are very stange names.

SNetherland said...

Jdewitt6,

I am currently reading The Strange Case of Origami Yoda by Tom Angleberger. I am on page 29. If i coiuld ask two the questions the first one would be, How could you think of a story like theis, because it's very strange. My second question would be, Did you write this because it was about a childhood memory, because it seems like you know a lot about middle school. I am reading this book with Sachi and it's realy funny because it's so nerdy. I would reccomend reading this book with an amazing friend like Sachi Pena. I love her.

They are very strange stories with a lot of details. My second one would be, How could he come up with all this like the yoda? This is very strange why would he just pick a yoda.I'm reading this with my best friend Kaeleenies:) The book is funny and we just laugh! I love KAELEEN!

I am currently reading new moon by Stephanie Meyer. I just started on my book so im on page 2. If I could ask two questions I would ask what happens in this book. And two why a vampire and werewolf. because I haven't read the book yet and because it will be hard for Bella to choose between two killers.

I'm currently reading Storm Chasers: In Pursuit of Untamed Skies. By Warren Faidley. If I could ask the Warren Faidley two questions, the first one would be: have you ever actually experienced what your writing about? Because I would want to know what made him want to write such a book. Then the second question would be: Do you like sciance fiction because this book is very interesting to read. you should read it somtimes its in the school library;)

I am currently reading Breaking Dawn. The author is Stephenie Meyers. And I am on page 333. If i could ask her two questions, they would be how did you think about writing these books and why. I would like to know how she got the inspiration to write these award wining books. And why she thought that they would be great sellers.

spmoreau5 said...

The book I am currently reading is called The Limit by Kristen Landon, and I'm on page 73.

The first question I'd ask is where she got the idea for this book. It is rather wild, and original, and very likable. In all honesty, I could probably never come up with such elaboration. I wish this was a series instead of just one book.

The second question I'd ask is what started the government's move to lock kids away in workhouses if their parents went over the "limit". And why weren't they allowed to choose the choice? The "honey lady" said that the workhouses were choice D.

MRichards5 said...

@jdewitt6

Ella Enchanted was good. ;-;

MRichards5 said...

@hpeel2

If she's brainwashed, then why not make a squeal? It would provide an exit to this "brainwashing" scenario and comfort the reader's cliffhanger-ish troubles.

I'm currently reading Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants by Ann Brashares and I'm on page 200. If I could ask the author two questions, my first question would be: "What inspired you to write this book and where'd you get the idea I would ask that because she is so detailed about all the girls' lives and I wonder how she even thought of the idea of 4 girl best friends who are brought closer together by a pair of jeans .My second question would be: "Do you have any connection to the girls? For example, did or do you live near them or travel to any of these places?" I'd ask this question because I wonder how she thought of all the places in the book and a little city in Marlyand as their hometown.

sbogue2 said...

jdewitt6, is this one of your favorite fairytale stories? Did you see the movie?

sbogue2 said...

bferguson2, have you read any of the other books in the series? I like your questions and how you asked a few extra questions to make everyone think.

dbenjamin6 said...

I am currently reading November Blues by Sharon M. Draper. I am on page 250. One question I would ask is "How do you write these amazing novels?" I say this beacause most of her bokks amaze me and they are things that teenagers go through in life like death, teenage pregnancy, etc. Another question I would ask is "Is there some kind of way that you can relate your life to the book?" I ask this question because the book seems so real with lots of detail and it seems like when she wrote she could relate to what's going on.

dbenjamin6 said...

Npegg2, my sister was reading The Red Pyramind and she said she loved it. Are you liking the book so far and isn't it by Rick Riordan?

I am on page 111 of Fat Kid Rules the World, by K.L. Going. If I could ask Going two questions, I would ask her why she decided to write from a guy’s point of view for her novel. Wouldn’t it be hard to write what boys dislike and like? And what they feel? Throughout the book, Troy feels different feelings about being fat. He always thinks about what would be the consequences of everything he does. Will they laugh? Will they mock me? Another thing I would ask would be why did she write a book from a fat boy’s perspective? I think I would be hard, yet easy. I mean you could write about how self conscience he is and what he would be thinking. But from a fat boy’s perspective…that would be hard? I believe it would be hard to write from a guy’s perspective!

Title: The Lost Hero
Author: Rick Riordan
Page: 426
Two questions i would ask Rick Riordan are; why start the book at a Wilderness School when they go to the Grand Canyon for their field trip? It's a bit like the start of "The Lightning Thief"; when they go to a museum for their field trip. the second is why make Jason the son of Zeus while Percy Jackson is the son of Posiedon? Is the last book of this series going to have another huge war?

I just finshed reading "Among The Imposters". The author of my book is Magaret P. Haddix. I currently finished the book. If i could ask the author two questions it would be, Did you always know you were going to be a writer? I ask that because i want to know if she had a passion for it. My second would be, Does she like to read? I ask that because why would she do something that she does not enjoy!

awilson2 said...

I just finished reading "The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod". The author is Heather Brewer. One question i would ask the author is "why did you make it so boring at times"? i just wish the author put more detail and really put the main problem out there. The second question I wouold ask would be "why didn't the author make the character more interesting?"

I am reading extras by Scott Westerfeld and I’m on page 127. The first question I would ask is how did you come up with all of the technologies in the book? I am wondering this because in my book there are many “future” technologies that I would have never thought of before. My other question would be does this book have any connectinos with you because in the book it is about a girl and all her life.

My second question would be.."Why do you pick the topic of lies, to revolve your book around?"

I would ask this because who would name a child, Fish, Rocket, gypsy, and Mississippi?

i am reading life, the universe, and every thing (that is the whole title) by douglas adams, and i have just finished the book. the first question i would ask is:why do you spend so mutch time explaining what is going on? because it gets very boring if it goes on to long. the second one would be:were do you come up with the things for it? i mean, a piece of a key to unlock a planet filled with maniacs a robot character's left leg? so obscure, yet so specific. only doug adams can think of thet!

I have finished reading the third book in The Hunger Games series, Mockinjay, by Suzanne Collins. The first question I would ask her would be what gave her the idea to write such a crazy story. I love the book and it's really good, but the storyline is kind of sad. The second question I would ask her is if she thought that what she wrote about could happen in real life. It seems like it could be other than all the super advanced technology that they have.

Slaw5 said...

jdewitt6, Did they make a movie on that, or was that something else?...

I have just finished reading Switched by R.L. Stine. If I could ask the author two questions I would ask what gave him the idea to write this book. Which is about two girls who switch bodies, but Nicole the main character realizes her friend Lucy murdered everyone she cared about so she tries to find her in hope of switching bodies again. I would also ask the author why he likes to make Horror books more then anything other genre. The book was very descriptive and I enjoyed reading it.

The book I just finished reading was called Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins. It was 391 pages long. One of the questions I would ask the author is where she got the inspiration to write the book. The book is very creative and different, and I would not be able to come up with such an amazing story. I would also ask her what it is like to have written such a popular book. The series is extremely popular right now. For writing such a popular book, she must feel really proud. The book was amazing, and it leaves you in suspense after every chapter.

I am currently reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix by J.K. Rowling and I am on page four hundred and twenty two. If I could ask J.K. Rowling any two questions, first I would ask her why she is making the Ministry of Magic turn against Dumbledore. I would ask her this because it just causes annoyance and more questions. Secondly, I would ask her why she put Ron Weasly on the Quidditch team. Ron is only doing terribly and now they probably cannot compete any longer against the rest of the houses because Harry and George (Ron's brother) have been kicked off the team.

I'm currently reading The Lost Hero by Rick Riordan. I'm currently on page 537. The first question would be what was your inspiration for writing the series because it's a very original and complex idea. The second would be how long does it take you to research for a book. This is because the books are based off Greek mythology and many of the myths he writes about are accurate.

If I were to ask the author of my book two questions I would ask him are: what gave you the idea to write this book? and When will you continue the series? I would ask him what gave him the idea to write this book for the simple fact that it is a brilliant book and very factual in regards to the actual mythology of the Greeks and Romans in their pre-Christianity era. I would ask the author when the next book in the series will be written because I enjoy the books that Rick Riordan writes, they are entertaining and extremelly enjoyable to read. Those are the two questions I would ask the author of the Son of Neptune.

In the library when he was searching for the type of bone the dog found he didn't have glasses yet so he couldn't read a thing. Then in chapter five Barney was saying how he could picture Snowy in the library reading tons of books or something, so did I miss it? My seconds question is, I remember reading that Snowy's roomate was a freshman, will we see more of him in the book as it goes along or was he just a slight side character to kinda of transition scenes?

Jdewitt6, have you seen the movie, if so which one do you think is better?

I'm currently reading World War II Heros by Allan Zullo. I'm on page 32. If I were to ask two questions, the first one I would ask is how he can change the information from the WWII heros into narrative but true is. The second question I would ask why he would do it on a most intresting topic as WWII. I ask these questions because the book is very heroic and intresting.

I am currently readin Island of the Aunts, by Eva Ibbotson. I am currently on page 11 and I would ask her where she got her inspiration to write this book. For the second question, I would ask her if she did indeed get an inspiration, then where she got it from. I would ask those questions because even though I've only read 11 pages of the book, I like it very much. If I could ask a third question, I would ask her if she would like to write a second book to this book and make it a series.

hpeel2, that is a great book. I finished in about three days.

tfried2, the title of your book and the authors name is kind of odd.

I am currently reading Breaking Dawn. The author is Stephanie Meyer. I am on page 456. If I could ask the author 2 questions one would be, how'd you come up the idea to write about vampires? The second question would be, how'd you come up with enough information to create four books that were based on her dream. I want to know these because it would help me understand her logic.

Title: Harry Potter and the Order of the Pheonix
Author: J.K. Rowling
Page #: 781
First, I would ask the author what Sturgis Podmore has to do with the book.He is mentioned a few times but I dont see any connections.
Another question I would ask is about Professor Umbridge. Why would she betray the minister and send dementors after Harry? I wonder this because she is so strict and in line with the ministry and 'rules.'
