Out of all the books Ive read this year my favorite would have to be Ali's Pretty little lies by Sara Shepard. The reason that book was my favorite was because it shows exactly who Ali really is. It shows that Hanna, Aria, Emily, and Spencer don't know who she really is. One of the best parts about it is it shows how her death really happened, and who killed her. The book has ALOT of things in the book that really clear up questions in the other books. It also tells us alot of valuable information that isnt in any of the other books.

Out of all the books i have read this year my favorite by far is Throwing Strikes by R.A Dickey it is a very detailed book which basically shows the the life a struggling pitcher who had been overlooked. He overcame many obstacles for example people said he was to old and he should retire. His fastball had went dow about five miles per hour.So he added a crazy knuckleball and he ended up leading the league in strikeouts and won the Cy Young. The Cy Young award is given to the best pitcher in the National league and the American league.

Out of all the wonderful books I read this year, my favorite book has to be a pimps notes by Giorgio Faletti. I love this book because it give great advice on men. This book also shows that you can’t trust everybody even your best friends sometimes, because in the blank of an eye they can turn on you. This book could help you in a real life situation. This book is a great adult book but I would recommend it to other people .

Out of the books i have read, my favorite is probably the Hunger Games Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins. the reason i pick that as my favorite over the others is because it makes the most sense. Also i saw the movies before i read the books so i understood the books more when i read them. another reason i picked this reason is the fact that this book actually contained a good hook. my other books i read had nothing on the book i have described.

I've read many lovely books this year, but when it comes to picking a favorite I pick Looking for Alaska by John Green. There was something in the book that really made me feel thrilled as a reader, and the character development was fantastic. It really allowed me to become closer with the characters and understand them; I felt like I was actually in Miles Halter's circle of friends. The characters also had some interesting traits and hobbies. Not like your usual book character traits where all the characters fall into specific categories. For example, the main character, Miles Halter, is infatuated with last words. He spends quite a bit of time studying them. There's so much more about this book I could go on about, but I don't want to make my blog an essay. Lovely read, I definitely suggest it to those who haven't read it.

I am reading Chosen Ones by Tiffany Truitt and I am on page 268. Out of all the books I have read this year, I would choose the book I am currently reading to be my favorite. I choose this book because it is full of many twists and turns that the other books I read this year do not have. They all have about the same theme but the other books kept getting more boring the farther you get it the plot line. That is why I choose this book to be my favorite.

Out of all the books I have read this year was Fault in Our Stars by john green. The reason why I liked this book the most was because it kept me on my toes, wanting to know more of what was going on. Another reason is because it was very romantic and sweet and I like that. More reason why I like that book the most was because it made me feel like I was in the book with them, living there life as well. Out of all the books that I have read throughout this school year, I would say the one that I took a liking to more would be “Copper Sun” by Sharon M. Draper. That would be my favorite book because that’s one of the most detailed, realistic, action packed books that I have ever read and actually been interested in. Sharon M. Draper is an amazing author, and I love pretty much all of her work that I have ever encountered since I first stumbled upon her back in elementary school when I read “Out of My Mind”. Copper sun really made me seem like I was in the book, and actually went through everything the main character, Amari went through. I loved the detail that she had provided through the book itself and I would definitely recommend that story, as well as others to my friends and anyone else that’s looking for a good book

The that I read that was my favorite was called bystander (I can't remember the authers name.) It was my favorite because it showed more of a prespective of a new kid that saw someone get bullied and then got bullied. It seemed to show more of a realistic kind of story of what would happen if someone did encounter a bully. I felt that in this case it was the most likely to occur in a real life sinerio. It maded detailed notes on what each charactor looked like after they had encountered a bully, how the felt, and what had made them experience it.

cford3 said...

cweinberg6 sounds like it was a good book.

snturner3 sounds like the book gave everyone a good way to tell the charactors apart, sounds like it was interesting.

My favorite book I have read his year is "Bystander" by James Preller. It stands out from a lot of the books based on school life, it points out the important roles kids who witness bullying (bystanders) are. It takes a story about a 7th grader who becomes friends with a group of bullies and turns it into an important lesson/message. The story is just as good as the message, it keeps you interested pretty much all the way through, beginning strong and down to the point, ending strong and down to the point. It also keeps you on your toes throughout certain parts of the story, there's a part where Eric (the main character) has to sneak in and out of Griffin's (the main protagonist's) house. During which Griffin's father is home and wakes up from his slumber while Eric is still in the house, causing Eric to have to bolt out of there. It tells a realistic story as well, it explains how they're bullies, explains what they do to become bullies, and explains why Eric is a "Bystander".

@cford3 Good job!

Out of all of the books I have read the best book is the hunger games by Susan Collins because she gives very good detail for the reader to make a picture of what she’s talking about. Another reason is her characters and how she describes them fit very well with the story line and how the story is told. Another reason I love my book is how the romance is included with the actions. Those are the reasons I love my book.

Out of all the books I've read all year eggs has to be my favorite. Holes and Eggs were both very close, but Eggs was defiantly my favorite. Eggs is by Jerry Spinelli. The reason why is because it had such a weird variety of characters and the adventures they went on. The two main characters were opposite genders and kids about 5 years apart who made a very interesting story.

This year my favorite book would probably have to be Twilight by Stephanie Meyer. It is my favorite because even though I knew what was going to happen I still couldn't put the book down. I also like it because it was so much different from the movie. Bella and Edward talk a lot more in the book, and it gives more details on the characters relationships with each other. I would deffinately recomend this book to anyone.

I am currently reading The Fault in Our Stars by John Green and I’m on page 263. My favorite book would have to be my current book because the story line is just amazing. The way it is supposed to be read is also great. I love how the characters are made and it, in a way brings the book to life. The book has many emotions in different parts. It goes from extremely happy to extremely sad the next, but the way that john Green ties the emotions together is interesting.

Out of all the book I’ve read, my favorite is the bully it’s a Bluford high series book but, I forgot the author’s name. The reason why I like this book so much is because, it’s a lot of drama and you don’t know what will happen next. Another reason why is because it inspire you how to take on a bully without violence unless he makes you use violence. The author also gave a great background story on who he is so you won’t be loss. The last reason why is because it’s not like one of those book that just give you a good start off then the ending is terrible, The Bully is great the whole way through.

Out of all the books I've read this year so far, my favorite is Assassin's Creed: Black Flag by Oliver Bowden. The reason I like this book is it's based off of a pirate theme. It takes place in the southern Indies with Blackbeard, James Cook, and many other famous pirates. The author uses great references of what actually during the golden age. The last reason is because it is based off of a video game I played before.

DDALLAS5 sounds like a interesting book.

This book takes place on a boat, in the year 1990. The boy is afraid of the water, and he finds a strange cabin, cabin 102. He goes inside this cabin and he finds this girl locked up, Tahni, but he did not know that she was a ghost and not a human.

Out of all the books I have read this year, my favorite would have to be "Football Hero" by Tim Green. That one was my favorite because it was about this boy who was trying to be a wide receiver for his school football team and this guy who was a bully was the person guarding him during practices and scrimmages. He was living with his uncle who was gambling with the mafia, and since Ty had connections with the NFL he was using Ty to earn more money. Then his uncle betrayed the mafia and they were going after Ty and his uncle trying to kill them. It was my favorite cause it was the most exciting and I never knew what was going to happen next.

I am reading The Underdogs by Mike Lupica and I am on page 202. Out of all the books I have read this year, my favorite would have to the Underdogs. I like this book because I love the general idea of the book. It shows how hard Will tries to get a team for his local football league. It shows how hard all the boys work to get a good outcome. Also, it has a girl, Hannah, who is on the team. She is just as good as them, but gets judged a lot due to her gender. I love how she ignores everything and plays the sport she loves the most. I recommend this book to everyone!

When they were stuck in the cold the rented a really small house and the heat didn't work so they all would huddle and keep each other warm because the parents didn't make enough money to even get a small heater or coal to start a fire. So far, of all the books I have read this year, Steelheart by Brandon Sanderson has been my favorite. I absolutely loved just about every book I read this year, and it was a hard choice, but this is my favorite book. I love everything about this book. It was fast paced, it was full of emotion and conflict, and it had a sci-fi/fantasy world for you to learn about as the book goes on. Lastly, I really love that the author made the characters seem realistic. They each had their own issues and problems that gave them relatable personalities, which I appreciated. Other books I read, like Name of the Wind and The 100, came very close, but there were things about those books that I didn’t like while I had no complaints about Steelheart.

Out of all the books I have read this year, I would have to say my favorite is Backlash by Sarah Darer Littman. I enjoyed this book because it was all about this girl Bree bullying this girl named Lara. Bree pretended to be this cute guy who went to another school, but then told her she was ugly, not popular, and should kill herself. Lara was really upset when she was told this, even though it was not true, so she tried to commit suicide by eating a bunch of pills. Luckily she didn't die, but her family didn't take the news very well. Bree got in a lot of trouble and was bullied in school for bullying Lara, earning her the name, bullying Bree. Bree received death threats every day, so she decided to change everything about herself so she wasn't recognized and moved away.

I'm reading the book called The Compound by S.A. Bodeen and on page 56. My favorite book has been Rule of Three since it is a dystopian future and better than the second or sequel Fight for Power. The author of Rule of Three is Brian falkner. He is talented in making dystopian novels. Also he is exceptionally good at shaping a character or having a page dedicated to knowing a certain character. One more thing is introducing any characters like this guy came from a plane crash or this guy from the enemies wants to be on our side.

Sbrown4: Nice job on choosing a book.

aparker: Nice decision, really like the sound of the title.

What has been my favorite book this year? Well I think my favorite book has been a book called “The Shack” by William P. the shack is a true story about a da who brought his kids on a camping trip and his daughter was abducted by a killer people called the ladybug killer because he would leave a ladybug pin every time he took a little girl. It’s a sad book with some crazy plot twists and I think that it was great.

What is my favorite book of this year? I don't really know how to answer this question. Seeing how all the books I read have all been good. This year my book selection has been spectacular. However, I believe that my favorite book would have to be, is all of them. I am terrible at picking favorites.

Out f all the books that I ave read this year, the book that I ould have to say was most impactful on me was Pery Jackson Lighting thief by Rick Roridan. the reason that I say that is because it showed me to a whole new intrest in mythology and other things in that categorey. That book was so good I even read it twice. One of the best parts of the book is when he went to the secret camp and discovered that pisidon, the god of the sea was his father.Another thing that i liked was the fact that they went on so many fun expeditions and adventures just to gain knowlage about themselves.

I've read a lot of books this year but i only have one favorite book. My favorite book is Theodore Boone: kid lawyer, i forgot what author it is but it's very cool. His parents are famous lawyers in his city so he's cool with judges and bailiffs and stuff. He go to almost evry trial and court hearing for the fun of it. He knows a whole lot about law. But, his friend is a illegal immigrant and he doesn't know what to do, he don't know rather to tell his parents our not, eventually he told his parents and his friend was almost deported but they worked through the immigration process and became legal immigrants.

My favorite book that i have read this school year is Forged by fire by Sharon M. Draper. The book is pretty interesting it is one the the Hazelwood high school series. The book has a whole lot of drama in it. The book is about a boy who has been abused as a teenager along with his little sister. In the beginning it starts off as Gerald being a little child and it tells how his mother always left him alone and how he ended up living with his aunt. How he got reunited with his mother and his abusive Step-father Jordan and his little Sister Angel. All these things make the book pretty interesting.

Out of all the books that I have read this year my favorite would be the current book I am reading "Variant". It would be my favorite book because of how mysterious it is. The book also is very chilling and unsuspecting scenes. The book has robots which I am a fan of. It also teaches a lesson which is that you should not trust people you have a bad feeling about.

Out of all the books I've read this year my favorite has been The Fault In Our Stars by John Green. The Fault In Our Stars taught me that life is short and you should make the best out of it. The book was filled with wittiness and sarcastic personalities. There were all highly intelligent. The book was intriguing and I was always excited to find out what happens next. It was happy, but sad and it was beautifully written.

I am currently reading Magyk by Angie Sage and I am on page 538. My favorite book was The Familiars by Adam Epstein and Andrew Jacobson. I really liked this book because it had the animal helpers be the main characters. I also like this book because of the big trick near the end of the book and it was breath taking. I also like this book because when I started it I didn't enjoy but now I do.

I have read a lot of the series The Last Apprentice this year. My favorite book would have to be the first book in the series. The book reminds me of my friend who introduced me to the series and I really think it is an interesting story. Also the main character is very relatable and throughout the series you get to know him. And the whole lure of the series is very cool.

Out of all the books i have read this year would have to be the book i am currently reading. Which is Wolves of the Beyond, by Kathryn Lasky. My favorite book that I've read this year is probably "To Kill a Mockingbird" by Harper Lee. It was such an interesting book and captured my attention. It was such an unusual and unique story. It had a beautiful choice of words and was very descriptive. When I read it, there was a movie in my mind going along with it. Only great books can have that affect on people.

Out of all of the books I have read, I think that The Maze Runner series by James Dashner has been my favorite because of how it was written and all of the excitement and adventure. Though I was slightly confused while reading the last one I really enjoyed The Maze Runner and The Scorch Trials. Out of all of them I liked The Scorch Trials the most because of how they weren’t fighting a physical thing that they could punch or hurt, but it was a much smaller thing that could infect them and they wouldn’t really be able to do anything about it. I also liked the beginning of the book, I really want to find out more about that staircase they had to go up that had the things shooting out of the walls and suffocating people whilst burning those if they managed to get it off. The whole series has an amazing concept in general and I wish that there could be more, but it was finished off nicely and you wouldn’t want another one that may end up being something terrible like another series I know, though it’s not a book, it’s a game series.

@cweinberg6 - the hunger games series is amazing

@abkhodr - oh dear, I really loved reading The Giver

Out of all the books I have read this year (Which is like five) my favorite is Boy Meets Boy by David Levithan. The reason I loved this book the most was because I could relate to it the most with it revolving around a gay protagonist. the second reason is that main character have a lot of drama going on such as falling outs, love interests and more. my third reason is this book is really funny and it kills me. My final reason is because I only read like five books, so I was limited to my pool of books.

Out of all the books I have read this year I have to admit that my favorite book was “The son “by Lois Lowery. The reason why I chose this book is because it teaches a life lesson and it also makes us wonder what type of world that we live in “Utopia or Dystopia”. I couldn't imagine living in cruel world like that not being able to have your own children, your spouse is chosen for you, and there is no choice. My favorite character Claire did and tried her hardest to find her blood son she even got cursed. That’s why The Son is my favorite book it teaches a wonderful life lesson.

Out of all the books i have read this year my favorite would have to be Nest. It features a believable 12 year old girl dealing with her mother's decline of health. Everyday it seems it gets worse and she resents her father for it. I Love the fact that her and her sister are close but don't get along like they should that might have to do with their age difference. But It displays a large amount of realism and for that i admire it. Nest Is truly a good book.

My favorite book I read this year was either Looking for Alaska by John Green or The Great Gatsby by Scott Fitzgerald. These were my favorite books, because they had such a realistic story but still kept me interested. Most books as realistic as them would have quickly lost my interest, but in a way these two were different. The exciting life of the characters kept me enticed in the life I could see happening around me on a normal day. For example, The troubled teens from Looking for Alaska easily let me imagine the rebel kids that get in trouble all the time.

It shows all the hard work it takes to become a Navy Seal. This story has inspired me and a lot of my friends to serve our country. It also made us grateful for all the different sacrifices they make for us. @Jatwood3 good job also I enjoyed reading your @ Shelby Brown.

Out of all of the books I read this year my favorite book was The Maze Runner by James Dashner. This is my favorite book because it was the start of everything before the sequels except for the prequel "The Kill Order." Also it had much more adventure/action to me than the prequel and the sequel, W.I.C.K.E.D. created creatures in the maze called "Grievers" and if you were a "Runner"(someone who ran through the maze trying to find a way out) then that was your biggest fear there. "The Maze Runner" was also less harsh than the prequel and sequel, although there were deaths by someone getting eaten by a Griever it wasn't as gory, in the sequel there was a silver, gooey liquid that would come out of nowhere melting a person head off then once done turns into a solid ball and rolls away leaving that person headless. this book was also less confusing than the sequel, there's when Thomas entered The Glade there was already people there to tell him about whats going on (well not everything but what's going on around The Glade.) But in the sequel the Gladers just wake up with chaos around them leaving everyone confused and even when they were explained to about what's happening it was still confusing, I felt like the plot was everywhere.

The character from football champion is an hard working, focused, passionate young man that that loves the sport of football. The last reason I like him is because that when he plays he makes sure that every one is having fun and every one is making plays on the field even when he is on the side lines, and when he's on the side line he makes sure that no one is playing to injure themselves and every one is serious.

I have just finished reading Backlash by Sarah Darer Littman. My favorite book I have read this year was One for the Murphys by Lynda Hunt. This was my favorite book because the main character, Carley, had to get used to a new life with new people. This is important to me because I know how the main character felt. The main character had to be with a totally different family and in a completely new place. I know how she felt because I had to move here and I know exactly how it felt to have to make new friends. I can also compare with her because my parents are in the middle of making a big decision for whether or not we will move to Puerto Rico over the Summer. Not only that but this book was great because I know that many people could compare with Carley.
