I just finished the book The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod Eighth Grade Bites written by Heather Brewer. One word I used to describe this book is daring. The reason I describe this book as daring because it has a lot of interesting turns. Vlad goes on an adventure to discover different places, people, and secrets. He also undergoes problems with other vampires.

wdalluge2 I was going to read that book!

I am currently reading the Mark of athena by Rick Riordan. Right now, I'm on page 172. If I had to choose one word to describe my book, it would be adventerous. This is because they are constantly on adventures and quests. For example, once they got on the ship, they had to go and defeat a monster and when that was over, Annabeth right away had to follow the Mark of Athena.

wperkins6 said...

gdmontgomery2 That seems like a good book!

The book I'm reading is Bittersweet by Sarah Ockler. I'm page 246.If I had to describe this book in on word I would use...bittersweet. I would use bittersweet because everything Hudson does has a good & bad side affect to it. For example she agreed to train her school hockey team for "ice time" so she can train. This is good because she can train for her ice skating competition but bad because she can't work for her mom in her restaurant and she doesn't have to to hang out with her friends, so they're drifting apart.

Like when Thomas arrives to the Glad everyone isn't telling him the whole truth about the place. Also are mysterious with their answers to all his typical questions.
@nhamilton2 Good job and I love Tim Tebow.

@Iriveria2 That book sounds good

I am currently reading Dark Life by Kat Falls and I am on page 180. If I could use one word to describe my book, it would be strange. I would use this word because the book for a couple reasons. One would be some of the characters have skin that shimmers. Another would be some characters have "Dark Gifts" which are weird abilities, like talking to dolphins and fish and being able to change their skin color in an instant.

zotto5 said...

Iriveria2- Good job with the blog.

I am currently reading the Sea of Monsters. It is by Rick Riordan and I am on page 205. The one word I will say about this book is bravery. The two main characters go through a lot of trouble like explosions and violence. Another word that could go in this book is caring. Those two main characters care for each other and if one gets hurt, the other does something caring. Really, its true.

OPanchal5 said...

@llambert6,

What would happen if Athena made a scratch?

@nhamilton2,

That is a good book by Tim Tebow who moved from the Denver Broncos to the New York Jets in the NFL. He is a quarterback.

I just finished the book Re-Vamped by Sienna Mercer. One word to describe my book would be happy. The reason why the word is happy is because two sisters are re-united after birth. Another word would be anxious. This book made me anxious because Olivia has to pass three tests to become a full vampire. If you want an easy read book get re-vamped.

dblair6 said...

The name of my book is the maze runner. By James Dashner. One word that describes my book is lost. Lost because the children are lost themselves. Also their minds are lost because they have no knowledge of who they are or their personal life. All in all the whole book so far is very lost…

tnichola6 said...

nluna6 that was great comment.

I am currently reading Dark Life by Kat Falls. One word that could really describe my book is aquatic. This book I find it aquatic because well like the cover of the book its deals with people living under the water. it explains what deep sea animals look like. also it talks alot about the different objects and problems people would experiance having an under water life.

The title for my book is how to break a dragon’s heart (how to train your dragon).
The author of my book is Cressida Cowell; the pg number I’m now is 50. The one word I would say my book is is exciting because there is a lot of this happening at the same time. Like dragons for instants there are a lot of dragons in this book, well of course because it is about dragons. Also because there are Vikings, like this guy named hiccup, and his “friends”.

I am reading The Rescue by Kathryn Lasky.I am on page sixty-eight and I think that hope is a word that describes my book. Soren's teacher Ezylryb went missing and with his band of friends and his little sister, Soren hopes to find his missing teacher. Soren also finds out about a evil owl that could have killed a Barred owl. This owl wears a mask and his species is unknown. Soren hopes to see this bird to bring him to justice. Soren and Eglantine also hope to find their parents that went missing.

I am reading the science-fiction novel Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card on page 26 (Just started an hour ago). To catch you up if you havent read it, it's about a post-apocalyptic world where aliens from another world invaded earth a while ago, and the aliens lost. Ender is a 6 year old boy (who seems to act like he is college student, because of his exspansive intellegence) who had recently been drafted ina sort of army-like force which protects Earth from aliens.

I think that one word to describe this book so far is 'Maturity'. Ender has decide wether he is going to take on such a great responsibility, or if he is just going to throw one of the most honorable opportunities there could be. Ender's parents are actually quite frightened, aswell as he is. This entire book is most likely going to be about Ender's struggles through hard work and achieving success, which takes an amazing amount of maturity.

I am reading City of Bones, by Cassandra Clare. I am on page 227.
One word i would give this book is dangerous. One of the main characters Clary runs into many demons and dangerous things in this book. She lives with Jace in a huge mansion full of weapons for killing demons. Jace and her have to kill demons to save her mother. What they do is very dangerous and that is why i give this word to this book.

I am reading November Blues by Sharon M. Draper. I am currently on page 214. One word that would describe my book is maturing. The main character in my book, November, just found out she's going to be a mom. In the book this is a sad situation because November's boyfriend, Josh, had currently passed away. Now she is only 16 years old with a baby on the way, ruining her chances for college and her senior year activities.

The book I am currently reading is The Test by Peggy Kern. This book is a really book I like It a lot the page number I am on is 102. A word I would use to describe this book is sad because the main character got pregnant at a young age and had things planed for the future but she messed all up. She had a hard time growing up pregnant at first she didn’t even know how to explain it to her mother she was filled with lots of gilt and anger. She seemed like a good person but she just didn’t carry herself right but so far it seems sad to me because I know if she could take that back she would.

I'm reading 1984 by George Orwell. I'm on page 216. Even though it is not a real English word, if I had to give one word to describe the book, it would be doublethink. As quoted in the book "Doublethink means the power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one's mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them." Doublethink simultaneously happens consciously and subconsciously. It describes the entire book, because, the three statements in which the Party is based on, War is Peace, Freedom is Slavery, and Ignorance is Strength, all in themselves involve Doublethink. The people of the society, know, both consciously and subconsciously, that the Party is lying about a lot of things, such as the history of the wars, but they also believe consciously and subconsciously that everything the Party says is true. The Inner Party, or the core, even the people who create the lies believe the lies they produce, while still on both the levels of consciousness and unconsciousness, knowing they are lies on conscious and subconscious levels. This goes for everything the Party says; even though people remember the truth, and know the Party has changed the past, they still believe beyond comprehension, that every word the Party says is true, has always been true, and always will be true, no matter how many times the Party changes what they say.

My book The Son of Neptune by Rick Riordan and I'm on page 154. If I were to describe this book in one word it would be emotional. I choose this because everything they say and do is very deep and dramatic. For example,while on a journey Percy almost fell off a cliff and Hazel saved him. during this point she had a flashback which talked about the same thing happening to her when she was little and her father saving her from a fall.

Also how they get mysterious letters from an unknown person. This book has been very mysterious through almost the whole thing.

I am currently reading the book Daniel X by James Paterson and I am on page 238. If there was one word I could truly use to describe this book, it would have to be adventure. Another reason would probably reason, would not only be for him, but also because he ventures for the people close to him. A example for the people that are close to him is when he tries to save all of his friends from the evil boss in the book.
