The Rivalry By John Feinstein I am currently on page 73. The character I choose is steve Thomas he is a reporter for the washington herald. But the thing is he is only 14 years old. I think the place he would like to travel to is Nfl headquaters because he loves football and it would be a great chance to get to know it better.

I am currently reading The Boy in the Striped Pajamas by John Boyne. I recently just started the book so I am on page 15.
Bruno, the main character in my book, is an 8 year old little boy, who lives in Germany. His dad is a Nazi soldier and they have to move into the country for his dad's job. But Bruno doesn't like his new house, because there are no houses around him so he doesn't have anyone to play with. If he could travel anywhere in the world, I think he would enjoy San Fransisco, CA, because all the houses are next to each other and the population is very high so he would have plenty of people to play with :)

tgarrison2,

you need to work on capilizing your sentences and your grammar :) However your book seems good.

I am currently on page 50.The main character of my book is Annemarie Johansen. She is a jew growing up where Jews are being descriminated. If she could go anywhere it would be with her big sister. I say that because she died and she would do anything to get her back.

The book that I am currently reading is The Help by Kathryn Sockett. I am currently on page 83. The character that I choose is Skeeter. She is a young girl that has always wanted to travel. She loves writing and is the total opposite of what all of her friends want to be and are. I think she would want to go to New York beccause of all of the press and articles that are going on. She would definitely fit in, in New York City.

I am currently reading Killer a pretty little lairs series by Sarah Shepard. The charecter I am choosing Hanna Martin. I think my charecter would choose to go to Paris because she has talked about planning a trip there with her former friend Mona. She wants to Travel there because she loves to shop and she loves to be girley and so I feel that its going to be fun around there for her to go.

My book is Johnny Tremain by Esther Forbes and I am on page 59. The character who I choose is Johnny himself. Johnny is the skilled aprentice of a silversmith. Johnny is very boastful and has the talent to back it up. If Johnny could travel anywhere I think he would travel to England. There are many great silversmiths in England, many more than Boston, so Johnny can learn his trade.

I'm reading max by James Patterson I'm on page 55. The character I choose is Max, Max is a girl who is a bird-kid who has to "save the world" and she is in a flock with other bird-kids ,Iggy, Gazzy, Angel, Nudge, and Fang and they are always battling something. One place I think max would go is somewhere there are no threats to her or the flocks life because as I said they are always battling or being attacked by something. She would want to go somewhere with no threats so she can actually live her life and not always be in danger for her life or the rest of the flocks. That's where I think Max would choose.

My book is Out Of My Mind by Sharon Draper Im on page 243. You see I dont think my character would really GO anywhere specific but she did say she wanted to fly like a bird. So she could be free and not trapped in her body like she was at that point in time. But if she could go someplace I think it would be anywhere she could, you see melody is limited physically and i think she wants to go everywhere and see everything. Thats what I think.

the book i am currently reading is the elements by theodore gray and i am on page 177. since my book uses humor, style, and athority to teach every know element in our universe, there are no characters in my book. though if any of the elements were sentient, i would choose neon. neon is the 2nd noble gas, and is used in the bright red and orange signs you see every were (any other color, and it's not neon). but since alot of it is in vegas and new york, i think some would like to stay, while others would like to go some were other than vegas and the big apple.

I am reading A Dance with Dragons by George R. R. Martin, page 459
The Character I think of is Daenerys Targaryen, she is the rightful heir to the throne but her family was cast from Westeros. Right now she is in Meereen and all she wants to do is take back her family's throne in Westeros across the Narrow Sea. She talks about it every other page in the book, but makes no move to go home.

I am currently reading a biography on Mia Hamm. I just started the book so I am on page 7. Mia Hamm is one the greatest soccer players of all time. She has been known for her talent since she was fifteen and later in her life signed to played for UNC, and then became an Olympic gold medalist. If she could travel anywhere it would have to be some place that is big on soccer, because as you can tell, her life revolves around the sport. She lived in Massachusetts so im pretty sure she would want to go somewhere out of the country like England, since they're far away and love soccer.

Her mother used to do drugs when Cindy was a little girl and now her mother has been clean for a long time. Cindy is really wanting the fun and awesome mother back, but cant seem to get her. Cindy said in the book actually that she would love to vacation in Hawaii. She has dreams about going there and being happy with her mother.

I am on page 175 in The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins yesterday. Katniss Everdeen is the main character in this book, she is in the arena as a competetor for the games. She volunteered taking her younger sisters place for it. Even though she is very strong in the arena her main skill being hunting and shooting the bow and arrow she much rather be back home at District 12. She wants to be with her family that she loves so much. Plus she would want to be out of the game.

I just finished reading Gregor and the Code of Claw by Suzanne Collins. In the last chapter of the book, Gregor and his family were deciding whether or not to move to their grandparents farm in Virginia, after being through a war against the rats in the Underland for months. His bat bond Ares has been killed and he has fallen in love with Luxa, the queen of Regalia (the town the underlanders live in. He had to leave all of them behind when he left to go back to his home in New York. He can never go outside or go back to school again because of the huge scars he has everywhere. Then the book ends with many questions left unanswered, as the ending of the series. So in my head I end the story in a much happier way. I think that Gregor would want to go back to the underland to see all of his friends and be who he is.

Slaw5 said...

Wolf Rider by Avi. Page 105. I choose Andy Zadinski, a High School kid who's being called "wolf boy". He is being called this because he was called this because he was recently contacted about a murder, but no one believed him. I chose this character because the place he would be is, well, anywhere else but where he is now. His alleged "liar" classification has left him hating school and generally people overall. He wishes to be gone from his life, anywhere else in the world.

She is very curious of what the prophecy awaits her and is very keen. She loves to be a warrior and be help to the clan. I think Bluefur would like to travel is kind of obvious consindering that her prophecy tells her that she has to guide her clan in the time of great turmoil.

Tess Brooks is a eleven year old girl who likes the ocean and loves riding in boats. She also likes going lobster catching with her dad and she has a lot of enrgy. The place wherer Tess wants to go is to her best freinds house Amy. Amy moved away because the school was closed and now they only can communicate by mail. But Amy has not been sending Tess letters back as much as Tess has. So she would probly want to go to her house and go talk to her and ask why she onlt sends a few letters.

My book is Guillivers Travels. My character is Guilliver, a pioneering english cartographer. The book tells about all of guillivers adventures across lost places of the world. Of all the places he travels, none would be more appealing to the character than the island of Lilliput. In the book, Lilliput is the first of many marvelious locations visited by the character. He became very welcomed in that land and was fond of the small Lilliputans.

The book I am reading is A Northern Light. The author is Jennifer Donnelly. I am currently on page 54. The character is Mattie Gokey, if she could travel one place in the world it would be New York. She has always dreamed about the big city but she is in a little town. She has always wanted to read books and write poems she just needed an encouragement by her teacher.

I am currently reading the Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins and I'm on page 40. The main character is Katniss Everdeen and she is a 16-year-old hunter who supports her family on her own. She has a sister Prim and her mother who she has to care for by getting food and necessary items to survive. If she could travel anywhere in the world, I think she would love to go to Europe. I say Europe because everything is very open and I'm sure there are wild animals roaming, so she would be able to hunt.

My book is farewell to Manzanar. It is written by jeanne Wakatsuki Houston. I am currently on page 55. I chose to write about Woody . woody is the third of the siblings in the Wakatsuki family. He is loyal to the U.S by joining the army. Woody would be the one to take charge in the family when a parent or elder is sick or gone because of his leadership skills. I think my character "Woody" would not leave the U.S but might go to Japan his home country given the right circumstances. The fact that their father, "papa", has been taken to the camp/ interrogation center is part the reason my character I chose would go visit Japan. If the Pearl Harbor tragedy had not have happened, then I think he would never leave the U.S.

I am reading I Will Plant You A Lilac Tree by Hannelore Wolff. I am on page 10. I think that my character would travel anywhere outside of Germany. She has been stuck in Germany for most of her life, going through labor and concentration camps as a jew. This was during the holocaust, and she was in it through the whole thing, she was on Schindler's list. She wants to leave. She wants to find her family and escape to somewhere else so that they do not die, anywhere else.

Although, she can finally speak her mind when she gets a machine that helps her talk. If Melody could go anywhere in the world it would be anywhere else in the U.S. besides her home state, because just the experience would make her smile. Title: City of the Beasts

Author: Isabel Allende
I pick Alex. The place he'd most likely travel to is the Amazon, since his grandmother is going there to discover secrets. Also, Alex would have a wider variety of foods to eat. There are all kinds of experiences Alex could take in the Amazon, like finding a animal he's never seen before, too.

Peeta is the boy tirbute from district 12 who participates in the Hunger Games. Peeta is a very nice, honesty, caring and brave character. I think that if he could go anywhere, he would go live in a small house in the woods with Katniss because he wants to always be with her and kind of wants her to himself.

She takes care not only of herself but of her mother and little sister. Kitniss will do everything that she can to help her family an friends. In this book Katniss went to the Hunger Games instead of her sister to protect her. And if Katniss would have chance to go to any place in the world, I'm sure she will choose home.

She would also bring her family and friends. which would be; Her sister, Prim; her friends, Gale and Peeta; and finally her mother, Mrs. Everdeen. I am currently on page 220 of The Tinkerer’s Daughter, by Jamie Sedgwick. The main character in this book is Breeze. She is a half breed of an elf and a human and isn’t welcomed into society. She and Tinker live on the outskirts of town, tinkering away. If Breeze could travel, I believe she would travel beyond the mountains. She would go beyond the mountains because she has never been outside to actually explore the world. So if she got a chance to see beyond the human eye, she would love it.

Also because the water is so clear and it glistens. Emily is very adventerous so the thought of her going to Jamaica makes perfect sense to me.

Jdale2, I have not read that Diary Of A Wimpy Kid, but I'm sure it's good! I have read most of the other ones though and they are really funny. I hope you enjoy your book.

Drumore2, I think when you do your blog you should do it on a word document first. I say this because you have lots of grammer errors in your response. I am not criticizng you I am helping you out.(I don't know if that is how you spell criticizing!)

I'm currently reading Pele, and I'm about 1/4 of the way done. The character I chose is Pele, a well known soccer player. He is about in his 50's now, but by the time he was 18, he had already won a world cup and was playing for some of the best soccer teams in the world! If my character could travel anywhere, I bet he would choose Brazil. He would choose Brazil because he is from there and they play a lot of soccer there. This book is amazing and very factual, read it :))

I am currently reding the Associate, By John Grisham. I am on Pg 360. He is very smart, and has good looks. He likes to have fun, but can also get very serious when needed. He would probably go to Paris. Because it's very relaxing there.

tgarrison2,

The book I am reading is The Hunger Games. The author is Suzanne Collins. I am on page 117. The main character is Katniss Everdeen. She is the girl tribute for District 12. If she could travel anywhere in the world it would probably somewhere outside her homeland so she wouldn't have to participate in the Hunger Games. She left her family and I think she should be able to stay with them opposed to fighting to the death.

My book is Black Duck by Janet Taylor Lisle. I am currently on page 39, and my character would be David. The place he would probably go would be L.A.. Because there are a lot of crimes there usually, its also a big city.

@Bfergunson2 I've heard that the book boy in stripped pajamas was a good book is it?

@Zphillips5 isn't a Templar the soldiers who fight assassins?

I'm reading Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince by J.K. Rowling and I'm on page three hundred and twenty five. Harry Potter, the main character, is always in danger one way or another. Trouble longs to be with him at all times. Harry Potter would choose to travel to Honeydukes, which is a shop in Hoggsmeade. Hoggsmeade is a town in Harry's world and he would choose to go here because it is a shop that sells candy and is seen as an escape from the usual school agenda.

Jdale2, that sounds like a very interesting book. I always love to read books that are set during Christmastime/Winter

bferguson2, I've never read that book, but I do know the story of what goes on in the movie. I think California would be a much better place for Bruno, too.

The book I just finished is called Wolfsbane by Andrea Cremer. There were 400 pages in the book. The main character in the book is named Calla. She is an alpha of the Nightshade pack and she has an alliance with the Searchers. I think that she would want to go to is the Rocky Mountains. She likes the mountains because she thinks they are very pretty. It also is the place that is most similar to her home, since she live in a mountainous area.

I am reading Firestars Quest by Erin Hunter. I am on page 427. The characters I would choose is Firestar. He is the leader of Thunderclan who has suffered through some tough times. I think he would like to travel to a place where the location is mild, plenty of prey year-round, and really accepting and nice cats.

Im reading Jane Eyre by Charolotte Bronte and im on page 497. My character is Jane, the main character who left boardingschool to work for Mr. Rotchester at Thornfield. If Jane were to travel anywhere in the world, i think it would either be to Thornfield( if shes not there already) or to India, because Jane got several offers to go. But other than that its a little hard because i dont think the book shows much about her personality, shes a bit bland in my opinion.

My book was The sherlockian by Geogre Moore and I finished the book. If I could pick a character I would pick Arthur conan doyle. He would go in probabbly Minnestoa because he loves the forest and trees. I didn't really like the book. Maybe someone else will.
