The genre I enjoy reading the most is Realistic Fiction. I enjoy Realistic Fiction because I am a realist and like reading about things that could actually happen. The genre I least enjoy reading is Science Fiction. The reason I am not big on Science Fiction is that most Sci Fi stories could never happen. If it could not actually happen I have problems fully understanding the story.

I would probably enjoy reading mystery the most, because I like being able to figure out what happens. It gives me suspense in my head and feels like I’m really there! I would most likely not enjoy reading fantasy, because i have never really liked princesses. Too girly! Too much pink!

My favorite genre to read is probably mystery. This is because I like to see whats coming next. ALso it keeps me reading and at the edge of my seat.
My least favorite genre is Sci Fi. This is because I think its really boring and its not very exciting. I would probly fall asleep if I read it.

The genre I enjoy reading the most is Mystery. I like reading about mysteries because they are interesting and keep you guessing and thinking on what will happen next. The genre I do not like to read about would have to be Science Fiction. I am not a big fan of Science Fiction because it they usually talk about boring things like robots and futuristic technology.

The genre I enjoy the most is Mystery. I have to read somthing that keeps my attention or I'll get off topic easily. The genreI least enjoy is Historic Fiction. The reason I dont read Historic Fiction is because they dont keep my attention and I find them boring.

The genre I enjoy reading the most would have to be fantasy. Fantasy makes me feel like new things could happen in the future or could have happened in the past and the only person who knows it happened is the author. I don’t like sci-fi because it is too fictional to me. Fantasy has a good balance between realistic fiction and sci-fi.

The genre i enjoy the most would be science fiction or sci fi. The reason i like this genre the most is because it usually takes place in the future, which is the only kind of book i will really read. The type of book that i will not or really really don't like the most would be historical books. I think that historical is extremly boring and does not really entertain or put a picture in my head.

I will most likely enjoy reading mystery and horror genres. They keep me entertained and not want to put the book down, stuff like folklore gets me really bored. I strongly dislike reading Sci-Fi, I also do not like fantasy. I don't like fantasy because almost nothing is real in it and knowing nothing in fantasy can really happen disappoints me.

The genre I think i will enjoy the most is mystery. I like having a cliff hanger in the book and I don't like to read so mystery keeps me wanting to read more. It keeps me busy and having to read three books a nine weeks mystery will be a good genre for me. I like to guess what is going to happen next in the book and make predictions. I can't wait to start some mystery books.

gfleck3 said...

I think that my favorite genre would probaly have to be Fantasy.I like Fantasy because you can read about things that could never happen in real life like Harry Potter. The genre I dislike the most would have to be Historical Fiction. I really don't like reading about people I don't even know about plus there really boring...

Cstout3 said...

In my opinion, Mystery is the best genre out there. Mystery meaning, cliff hangers and excitement in the book your reading. A lot of authors I have met tell me mystery is a great start for a beginning reader, and a good one they started me out with was the series of Goosebumps. After I read all of those, that's when I had realized I like mystery.

tfowler3 said...

The genre that I have always enjoyed reading the most is fantasy/fiction. I am huge into the Harry Potter series and A Series of Unfortunate Events. The genre I absolutely can't stand is Sci Fi. Most Science Fiction movies are okay, but the books are really easy to predict. Either not enough happens, or to much is going on.

ajohnson3 said...

The genre i would love to read is Mystery , i mean who wouldnt love a great mystery? It's great to wonder: what would happen next? who is the mystery person? it makes me want to read more and wonder why. The genre i would least likely enjoy the genre of Biography. dont get me wrong but some biography books are really boring.

khunziker3 said...

From past expieriences I believe that I will like sci-fi, mystery, fantasy and biographies. I like sci-fi because it makes me wonder if it can really happen and the same thing with mystery and fantasy. I like biographies because I like learning about peoples lives and the stories they have.

jdelgais3 said...

I really like fiction. Fiction is so fun to read. Your mind can go crazy while your reading it. The book catches you while you reading and takes you on an adventure. I dislike non-fiction because its no fun to read. Your reading information with no story catchers. Mystery is probably my second favorite because I like how the mystery says in your head and you always want to read more.

tadams3 said...

The genre I enjoy reading the most is Fiction. I like Fiction because things that can not happen in the real world take over the entire storie. The genres that I dislike most are Historical Fiction and Biography. Stories based on one person or something that happened a long time ago are boring to me.

jfuentes3 said...

I have a WILD imagination, so I would say anything that has to do with Fiction. That being said, I would most likely hate reading non-fiction or things like that. Realistic Fiction is acceptable, but not loved, and Sci-Fi is one of my favorites. (Not the nerdy stuff, like Halo books, though) And lastly, Mysteries have never been my 1st option, but if I find a book that can actually keep me from my usual mindless wondering, (Thank you ADHD) I’ll read it.

gfleck3 said...

tfowler3,
I love Harry Potter! I have been to Wizarding World like two or three times in Orlando. :D

jfuentes said...

jdelgais3

sweet me too

twilliams3 said...

The genre I would most enjoy reading would be fantasy because in fantasies you usually have a good side and a evil side and then i also like fantasy because it sometimes has to deal with things like specail endowments, or powers.
I don't enjoy sci-fi because i am not really good with science and then the books are always about aliens or some sort of creature in a parralel universe, its stuff like that that i don't like because they ar usually based on the same things:ALIENS.

mbooth3 said...

The genres I most enjoy enjoy reading are folklore and fantasy. Most of my favorite books fall under the fantasy category, mostly because the include talking animals, like in "Wind in the Willows" and "Watership Down". I like folklore because greek mythology has been one of my favorite topics since 5th grade. Even though mystery has been one of the favorite genres I think it's one of my least favorite. Most mystery books are easy to solve in the first couple chapters and then the rest of the book is boring.

asheehan3 said...

My favorite genre would probably be Realistic Fiction. I really like reading this genre! I have read a lot of books by Sarah Dessen. Sarah Dessen is an author that writes about young teenagers, their boy, and family lives! My least favorite genre would probably be Informational because I truly don't like this section of books. I get really bored with these books and I fall asleep!

llindsey said...

The genre that I enjoy reading the most would have to be mystery. I like mystery because most of the other books have a defiant plot but with mystery you have to wait to see what will happen next. My least favorite would be sci-fi. I say sci-fi because I really don’t like reading about robots and it also have the word science in it and I really dislike that subject.

Kbennett3 said...

The genre I would probably enjoy reading the most is Mystery. I like mystery because I am a mystery. Sometimes you can't figure me out.
The genre I would HATE to read the most is Science fiction. I dislike Sci Fi because I'm not into the whole science and futuristic technology thing.

dmcneil said...

In my opinion; I like mystery and adventure because I love to go on adventure. I also like mystery because I don’t like to read and mysteries make me want to read more because you don’t know what is going to happen so I always want to read more. My least favorite genre is biographies because their boring and don’t put you on the edge of you seat.

ncurtis3 said...

I believe I will like Mystery a lot, because it'll make me want to keep reading. I don't read a lot at home so if i begin reading Mysteries I would want to read more. The genre i would least like would be Informational because most of them are boring.

ACepeda said...

There are many genres to chose from however, I have to say that it's a tie between sci fi and informational becuse I grow up with my dad that watches and once in a while reads some books. The informationals because if I can't learn any thing or think in depfth it is a waist of time. The genre that is my leaset favortie is fantisy because there I have no imagination and it is way out in left feild.

llindsey3 said...

ajonson3,

rstraub3 said...

The genre I would like to read the most this year would be Biagraphy. The reason is because these kind of books tell a person real life. Im interested on how everyone's life goes and see if mine relates to their lives.
The book I would like to read the least would be fantasy books. The reason is because everything in the book is made up, and I don't see the point in reading a book that is not real.

jdelgais3 said...

tadams3,
Yes! I reallly dont like when I am forced to read non-fiction. The stories are not amusing at all.

tadams3 said...

jdelgais3,
Same here! Non-Fiction sucks. So boring!

ayoung3 said...

More than likely I would enjoy reading Contemporary Realistic Fiction. I would enjoy this the most because it deals with real life situations that most people have experienced, or have heard of some one who has. Kind of like the Blueford Series. I most definitely would be least interested in is science ficton. My reasoning for this is it seeems so boring. It has no excitement to me. Every time i tried to to read one it never caught my attention and if it doesn't catch my attention from the begining, more than likely I will NOT read it!!

My favorite type of genre is mystery and i enjoy reading it. The cliff hanging and suspense leaves me wanting to read more. I love to think ahead of the book and answer any unsolved answers. Mystery keeps me reading and its a page turner for me. Other genres either get confusing and uneasy to understand, this is why i enjoy mystery the most.

The genre I like the most is Mystery. Mystery is my favorite because I feel like I'm in the book as the main character and I feel what they feel. I also like cliff hangers as an ending of a good Mystery since the author will mostlikley star a series. My least favorite genre is Non-Fiction. To me Non-Fiction isn't very surprising or intresting. There are sometimes where the story maybe funny or unique but, mainly I dislike Non-Fiction.

mcannon3 said...

Personally I perfer mystery because it keeps you on your toes the whole book. I don't usually like to read but the suspense of a mystery book makes me want to keep reading. I especailly love the feeling you get when you solve the mystery before you get to that part in the book.

Mrs. A.Thomas,
I feel the same way about Sci-Fi.
It makes me want to live in that period of time.

gcosta3,
I would personally enjoy reading historical fiction it kind of gives you a taste of how it was back in the days and sometimes with a little touch of humor

bclark3 said...

mcannon3, you’re awesome! Mystery is definitely the best.

ayoung3,
nice choice not to many people choose that one

Apinkney3,
i have to agree I hate Science Fiction books!
To me they don't make any sense!
I don't see a point in reading that kind of genre!
Hope you have a good time reading the books u chose this year! :D

apinkney3 I like myster alot its always exciting. I also think sci fi is boring because you always know what happens next.

ayoung3 said...

ajohnson3,
i agree with what you said about mystery. It makes you want to continue reading and want to read a series when you're done..

My favorite genre is either Mystery or Science Fiction. I love Mysteries because I love to figure them out, and if I cant it makes me read. I also love science fiction because it is so fun to read. I know it can never happen and it makes me want to experience what they do, just for the fun of it.

Droller4 said...

I like realistic fiction because it can be exciting and true at the same time. As for historial fiction its boring and it already happened or you are aware of the setting and whats going on, before you actually read it. Also I do not like Scfy because we don't know if the characters and setting is real or not. Plus i like to read books that i know can be real, but with fantasy, not much can be true so its my least favorite.

rjames4 said...

SciFi is just a boring genre in general in my opinion i am also not too much for fantasy either. Realistic fiction books are very common and some can be fun to read. However my favorite genre is probably historical fiction because i like history but it's much more interesting if it has some things made up. Some biographies depending on the person can be alright too.

ebowers4 said...

Cmartin,
I also like non-fiction too. they are so interesting!

kfundenburg4 said...

I really love reading Romance novels. I enjoy those because they are sweet and you think those things could happen and you believe that they will. The genre I like the least is mystery, because I don’t like not knowing what’s going to happen because I feel as if the book leaves me hanging. That disturbs me and that's why I do not read Mystery books.

ekeck4 said...

From what I know so far about genres I am going to say that I enjoy mostly Science Fiction. If it can't really happen then it's interesting; if it's real and able to really happen then it's boring. Science Fiction gives you the chance to experience events that are extrodinary, events that will never occur.
My least favorite genre are Biographies. Biographies are just straight fact after fact and don't really intrest me. Reading about someone's life just doesn't keep me on the edge of my seat in suspense.

ESwanson4 said...

The genre I enjoy reading the most is mystery because it never gets boring to me. It is always very interesting to read and to think about what will happen. The genre I least enjoy reading is science fiction or sci fi. It is very strange and different which appeals to some people just not me.

tfisher4 said...

my favorite genre is mystery because you don't know what goig to happen next. The least favorite genre I don't like is either poetry, fantasy, And sci fi because poetry takes too long to understand, and sci fi is too scientific to understand, and fantasy is for little kids.

rjones4 said...

I would probably enjoy reading mysteries most because they dont bore me. I only like reading a book if i cant put it down. If the begging is boring i wont like it. Mysteries keep me wondering whats going to happen next so naturally, i dont get bored with it and stop reading it. I also enjoy fantasy books. I dont really know why...i guess because it keeps me dreaming.

jfrommelt4 said...

I think my favorite genre would have to be historical fiction. I like historical fiction the most because I can learn about important events that actually happened. It gives me a sense of ultra realism and i can imagine the events in my head as they take place! My least favorite genre would have to Sci Fi books because they are so out of this world it annoys me! Also they can be very lenghty and i dont feel like i am getting anything out of the book because it is so unrealistic!

arhoades4 said...

I probably like realistic fiction the most of every genre. I like how the events the books can really happen this day and time. It seems so real to me. The genre that i least i enjoy is informational. I do not enjoy it because it seems boring to me because it tells you about facts of different thing.

hfundenburg4 said...

I enjoy reading Fiction because even though it doesn't happen in real life, it makes me feel like I'm actually living the character's lives with them. The book is so detailed, it seems like I'm watching the movie. I love books with great details so I can draw pictures in my head and get an idea of what's going on.

sdeemer2,
I love mysteries too! i love to figure them out. It makes me so eexcited when i do!

The genre i enjoy reading the most is probally mystery books. I enjoy mystery books because there is alot of twist and turns in the story. In mystery books theres so much suspence and action as well as its mysterious. You never know what will happen. The genre i least enjoy is a biography. The reason why im not a biography fan because, well i don't like reading about peoples life. Well i would read biography's if like i was learing a moral, but most biographys are ussually boring. Thats why it would be my least favorite.

ESwanson4 said...

i love mystery books ! (:

I think i would enjoy reading mystery most. becase mystery books so mystery so it will makes me figure out what will be a answer(?)or what is ganna be happened next page or who is criminal.
but some times some mystery books make me scared but i like scary books or movie so...it might be okay...maybe:)

I think I would enjoy reading mystery books because I like to be kept on my toes and the more you read mystery books the more you get attached. For people like me who do not like to read this type of genre would be great to start reading for the fact that the suspense they have and they always keep you guessing on what will happen next.
I would least like to read Informational books. I think those books are very boring and bland and lack excitement. Biography would be another least favorite book to read because I'm not really big on reading on someone's life and history unless it's exciting or change the world as we know it. Like Martin Luther King Jr. who helped to end segregation.

I like historical fiction, stories about real events with a fake plot and characters. I'm not the best at descirbing it though. One of my favorite books is Elephant Run, it takes place during World War 2 and it follows a boy that's not Jewish but lives in Europe then later moves to his fathers ranch in Russia.

alee4 ,
oh my gosh we love the same books ! haha (:

my favorit is mystery. i like this genre becuase it keeps you on the edge of your seat and you just want to know what well happen next. and alot of the time the ending is a twist and you didn't expect it to finish that way. the one im not a fan of is fantasy becuase it dosn't have to be real so sometimes it dosn't make alot of scence.

llarson4 said...

My favorite genre to read is probably mystery. I like to read mystery the most because it keeps me interested and gives the suspense that other genres do not.

My least favorite genre to read is probably fiction. This is because I dont like to read things that are not real, they also make me go to sleep.

I enjoy reading FANTASY! I love reading fantasy because it is the most interesting and every book that I personally choose to read is Fantasy! Fantasy books can also be a little mysterious and can keep you wanting to know what is going to happen next. I love getting into the author's mind state of what he or she believes the made up creatures or kind would be like. For example vampires can be seen in so many different ways, some authors see them as evil beings and others see them as just like humans. I love it when Fantasy authors come up with a completely knew description for the creatures and make them unlike any of the vampire stereotypes. The genre I would like the least is Informational that’s the most boring type of book EVER! It is just like reading a textbook, can you say FALL ASLEEP!

ekeck4 said...

jfrommelt4,
Have you ever sat down and actually read a sci-fi book? Something that you can get out of them is vocabulary. Science Fiction has a lot of advanced vocabulary and words that you could use in your everyday vocabulary.

rjames4 said...

forget books about true stuff read fiction books we get enough facts at school

jwang4 said...

My favorite genre is non fiction! I enjoy it because the information is real and it is something you will actually need in life to is successful.
I find fantasy boring and confusing. Along with that fantasy is just unrealistic and will never happened in life. Most of fantasies are just too creative!
