Take a few minutes and look back at last years blog questions and comments.
Pick at least one response that you think is a good example of how to correctly answer the blog. List the Blog # and the username(athomas1 in Blog #12) and why you think it is a good example of how to get an 'A' on your blog each week. Also, pick out at least one example of what not to do when answering the blog. List the Blog # and username and why it is an example of how not to get an 'A' on your blog each week.
Lastly, let us know if you are excited about using the blog or are nervous about it and why.
Your posted response should answer ALL 3 parts.
Do not forget to comment on at least 2 other responses.

@Mmoss4 Great Blog
@Ncrawford6 Nice post brahh!
ncrawford6 great job on your comment.
@carsonz3 blog number was 18
amartin3 did a a great blog in blog #6, they they told me everything that is required, I would say they'd get an "A"... eschrold6 also in blog #6, I don't think did a good job describing the book they started reading, so I wouldn't necessarily give them an "A".
I'm pretty nervous because I know everyone will be able to read my posts... But i will survive.
On blog #14 lfindley6 is a good example of how to get an A on the blog. This person put a lot of detail, they had 5 sentences, and his person can even persuade you to ready the book they talked about. They answered the question that they were asked and they seem to be enjoying the book. If you put as much detail as they did into your blogs every week then you’re sure to get an A. On blog #13 Jlett6 is an example how not to get an A. this person didn’t put 5 sentences, didn’t put a that much detail, and this person repeated something’s a couple times. I'm not too excited about the blogs because i had to do them last year and I would forget about them every once in a while.
wsammel: did a good job on answering the question
fbougher: I agree with your statement about the blogs, I also just see them as another homework assignment. Nothing to get to excited about.
bmitchell2 good job on your post
mmercado6 good blog brahhhhhhhh
good job fbouger because you went into detail about the peoples posts
kcecilio6: did nice job answering the question. Keep up the good work.
good job kyesbik6
I believe that kchrisopulos3’s post in blog #15 is a very good example of how to get an A because she followed the blog topic perfectly and what she said made sense. She also wrote more than enough sentences which, I believe, means that she actually tried to do a good job with her post. On the other hand, I think that Astarke4’s post in blog #15 is a very good example of how not to get an A because, although she had 5 sentences, they were not detailed and its obvious she didn’t even try. She also failed to follow the blog topic by only answering about half of the question. Lastly, I am very excited to be doing a blog because I think it will be fun and new, unlike the mundane task of a worksheet or answering questions from a book.
emasio6 good job answering the question
I agree with Jsanford5 that doing this blog post will be really fun.Blogging is amazing! :)
KBaxter6 good job
Kyesbik6 I love your post!
gpettit2 I really like what you put... and I'm nervous too.
Amartin3 on blog 18 was the epitome of a way to get an A I think that she used marvelous details about the story, and she puts herself inside the book. That made me want to read the book that she was talking about. I will admit that she has some mistakes but the way that she explains the situation outweighs the mistakes. She also talks about all the main characters (protagonist and antagonist) in the story. I really enjoyed this blog. Now jlett6 was the epitome of a way not to get an A. I think this because he uses the same word over and over and he didn’t have much punctuation.
I agree with Kyesbik. What if you forget to do your blog? Then you fail. That's not fair because I'm one of those people who forget stuff easily. So we should have time in class at least once a week to do blog posts.
I think the perfect way to get an a on your blog each week: Is to read others blog and see what you can learn from them.
I am a little scared to do this blog but over time I think I might get over being nervous. It seems fun and I could learn a lot of things from people.
I think a bad example is millerg6 didn’t have at least have 5 sentences only had 4 sentences and they were short sentences.
I think the perfect blog is tbolton4 he did awesome he had lot of detail. He made lot of good points and his blog.
@RRaisch6 i love your post keep up the unique good work!!!! :) <3
jlowe5 i like your work great job keep it up
@cbascom6 i love your post !!! wonderful
The perfect blog to get a perfect ‘A’ would be Hmarder4 in blog #18 because she had at 5 sentences and completely answered the blog.
The imperfect blog to not get an ‘A’ is eschould6 in blog #17 because he did not capitalize his I’s and did not spell college correctly. He also did not capitalize the title of his book or the name of his author.
I am excited and about this year’s fantastic blog. However, I am also nervous about the blog. Excited because I love computers and technology and nervous because I am known for making mistakes.
mrossi4 in blog # 18
This post is a good example of getting an ‘A’ on the blog because, she compared herself to one of the characters because the question of that blog was ‘If you had to take the place of one character in your book, who would you take the place of? Explain why you would take that person's place.’ And I feel like she did a wonderful job of explaining it on the blog
eschrold6 in blog #16
This post is a somewhat bad example of getting an ‘A’ on the blog because first of all, hey shortened some sentences so that they would ultimately reach the minimum of 6 sentences. They also used the authors name as one sentence, the title as one, and the page number as another, so they probably were rushed and didn’t know how to add more sentences so they broke up one sentence into three separate ones.
I am very very excited about using the blog because none of my other teachers in past years have used it, and because I think it will be a fun and new experience. Yet, because it is new to me, I do think I will be quite nervous about entering a post, because I always feel like I am going to be judged upon how I act or I guess in this case, type.
Aposey6 in Blog number 18 is a good example of how to get an “A”. Well describe the character really well. She also typed 6 sentences. A bad example is dmcbroom2 in blog number 1 he didn’t answer the question well and he also did do 5 sentences. He only did 3 sentences. I feel like I would do well. But I never had a teacher do this before. I think it would great fun.
@jglover2 good job very long
@phenis2 that was great
kyesbik6 did a great job
kbraxton6 did a great job 2
I agree with your statement bhastings3 your blog was well thought out and I'm not just saying that because i wrote about tbolten4 also
bwilson2 I agree with the typing part.
to MPickles6,
Excellent job on the details!=D
cant wait to read your next blog!=b
to jritter2,
I also love to type!!XD YAY!! I'm not alone!!!
Kyesbik6 Good job explaining why the person did a good (or bad) job.
MPickles6 Great details and explanations!
I didn't know how to do it. So im going to do it all over.Sorry!
I think Jlett6 blog#17 is a good example.Him or her write was great!! because it was very detail and he or she was good at writing about the book its simple and nice ! :).
I think millerg6 in blog#9 is not a good example beacause on the comment there has to be a book title, author, and current page number what he or she is reading .
I am excited about using the blog it's my first time!!And nervous too.Because I'm not good at computer..:( .
@kjones3 your good at summering the peoples writing.
@hwerther3 your good at writing things your summery was good.
jglover2 Really nice blog!
Kyesbik6 Great blog man!
I agree with Shannon Turner your respnse for this blog was well thought out. I enjoyed reading it.
Ncrawford you had a magnificent blog loved it.
Tbolton on blog7 is an example of a good blog because she’s very detailed and descriptive. And she’s straight to the point. She has three of her main characters she was talking about to address the question.
Now here’s a bad example of not getting and “A” on a blog Hlawson is very vague on his/her blog. This person didn’t fully answer the question either.
I am excited about the blogs because it’s a good way to see everyone’s ideas.
@kyesbik6 great job on your blog
@bhastings nice job on your blog dude!!!!
ncrawford6 nice job on your post! You explain very well.
ecarter4 great job on answering the question.
Good example:
Blog #3 4/28/14
@mrossi4 did a great job explaining her/her comment. He/she gave good details and added more to his/her answer than he/she was asked. He/she was very accurate on the books information, and also backed up his/her research on the book and the author. I think that adding information and giving good responses by showing accuracy is the key to getting A's on your blogs.
Bad example:
Blog #1 4/28/14
@ehunziker4 gave little detail and barely explained his/her answer. She gave one example which I think you should give at least 3 or so. I think that giving little detail and not giving good examples, as well as vague examples is not the
key to getting A's on your blogs.
My feelings about the blogs:
I was nervous when I was about to do it, but through this entire process of me answering the question I've realized that it's an easy process due to the fact that it only takes a few minutes or so. And it's really easy to look through and read and answer things. So I'm no longer nervous.
acuccia6 on blog #6 is not a good way to get an “A” because she had poor grammar, did not capitalize her I’s. Also she wasn't specific with what her book was about. But on the other hand. tmcCray is a good way to get an “A” because he gave his thoughts on the book. He also with where the book takes place and when. Yes I’m a little nervous about doing this blog but I can handle it.
@jglover2 amazing response! I know you're already going to get A's on these reading blogs
i believe that ehouston4 had a good comment on blog #11 because that person was nice, thoughtful, and the worded their comment politely. also i like it because it described what they were talking about.
@nbrook6 in blog #18 shouldn't really get an A because there wasn't enough details and the details weren't quite reasonable
I feel nervous about the grades i might get because i might not have time to do it & There might not be as much information as needed in my posts.
@ecarter4 Good job
@keyhasbek6 nice job
@Mmoss4 I agree 100% with @pbennis2 it will be easier.
@keyhasbek You did a great job on the homework.
@KBaxter6 excellent job on the explanation, I loved reading it and I am very much so intent on reading your next post
@Kyesbik6 you did exceptionally well, it was a very well thought out explanation and I enjoyed reading it because it went into more detail than some of the other posts I reviewed, though there are a few spelling errors it was still wonderful, sorry for pointing them out, I just felt like I had to because if I had missed something I would have appreciated it if someone pointed out my errors.
Good job jritter2 I liked the elaboration and effort you put in to right your response.
aposey6's #18 5/13/14
was really well written and i think that the way she stated things in such the manner that she did was an excellent way of getting an A+. because she did everything that you told them to do like write 5 sentences and punctuate and such.
jzhang6 has a great example of a good response in blog 17 they defiantly got an A. this person go's into depth about their answer. jzhang6 uses more than five sentences and is clear about the answer. i like this because they fully answer the question and are ready for the next. mmoffitt6 blog 16 only stated that they just finished the book. this is not a good example because they didn't answer the full question. you defiantly can learn and see the difference between the two answers. I'm tolerant of the blog but its just like homework to me.
bking3 may 13 #18 5/13/14
this blog wasn't as necessarily as good as all the other for instance they didn't punctuate at ALL and even though it would have made five sentences they still didn't put periods after they were done with each sentence:(
kbaxter6 good post i agree with you.
i meant goes not go's
kyesbik6 that response didn't really make since to me sorry :(
@kberry2 that was an awesome response
@Kyesbik6 i agree we had to do the blogs in P.E. so not so fun but a requirement
@Shannon turner had a long and good response either that or just two paragraphs put together. But from my view it looks good, wow ,her fingers must be aching by now. Mine would be even now they are , it hurts i'm tired but i have to do this in order to get an "A" in reading. I need sleep but i wont rest until i know that i did this. But it wont hurt to get an "A". That makes me feel like i'm achieving something.
@KJONES3 I agree with your statement and think you did a wonderful job on explaining your reasoning and details.
I think that @bhastings3 didn't do a very good job, I understood what they were getting at, but he/she gave very vague description as well as okay reasoning which isn't a way to get an A.
I believe @tbolton4 in blog 12 is a great example on how to get A's on the reading blog.My reaso being he followed your directions to the t.For example he listed his author,page number,and his book title.My second reason for @tbolton4 being a great example on how to get an A on the reading blog is he gave a response which made me want to read his book.These are some of the reasons @tbolton4 gave an A paper.I believe @Hlawson3 in blog 12 is a great example on how not to get an A on the blog.My first reason this is not an A blog is he did not follow directions and put his page number.My second reason this is not an A paper is he also gave a very vague description on why he thought his book could be summed up in his chosen word.This is why @Hlawson3 is not an A blog.I was not nervous about doing the reading blog.My reason for this is the directions were clear and direct.my second reason for not being nervous about doing the blog is when i read a book i can usually understand it enough to answer questions about it.This is why i was not nervous about doing the blog.
i am kinda nervous about the blog, we had to do it last year in pe and i hardley ever got it done. i never got it done because of not understanding it or not having any time because of soccer.also for small questions that i have to answer in a couple sentences i have trouble with. the main thing is i dint feel it will help me. or will help me improve.
In blog number 17 JHerra4 was very descriptive. They went above and beyond listing more detail than what was asked for. Also in blog number 17,amartin3 had an all around good blog however they didn't fully read the questions asked. It is always important to fully read the questions and answer them as asked. I am not really that excited to do blogs. I like writing but I don't like having to deal with computer problems all the time.
@kcecilio6 amartin3 did a good job. However, they did forget the last step to the question.
@Kyesbik6 You did a great job on your comment. You put detail in to it.
