Blog #8 Due: Monday 5/2/16

Post the title of the book you're reading, its author, and the current page you are on.

Almost all fiction authors have to do some kind of research before they write their novels. For example, JK Rowling might have researched historical sites in London and different creatures from mythology. Suzanne Collins, author of The Hunger Games series, might have researched different types of weapons or survival skills. The author of Twilight researched Native-American traditional stories.

Tell me something that you think your author researched before he or she wrote your novel. Explain your reasoning (how it relates to your novel). Your response must be at least 5 sentences. Remember to comment on 2 classmates.

I am currently reading Believe by Mike Yorkey and im on page 72.I think that my author had to research a lot of stuff about Eric Le grand. It would be pretty hard to write a biography about someone if you didn't even know the facts about him. Also they would have to research some football to fully understand his life. But there are a couple facts that I don't know where she got them because they're very personal.

The book I am reading is called The Siren by Kierra Cass and I am on page 60. I think the author researched oceans, sirens, and human nature. She had to search how humans acted when sirens sang to ship and put them in a trance which made humans die. It seems bad but this is what is was like when sirens were real. And during their time, they would sing songs to ships. This is also why I think the author searched what songs they would sing to ships.

I am reading How to survive high school by Lele Pons, I am on page 2. I think something the author researched statistics and populations of the cities she lived in. In her book she uses a lot of statistics and populations to describe when she used to live and moved. Besides that I don't think that she could have reasserted a whole lot because her book is basically just her life experiences. But her book is very intertaning and I enjoy it a lot.

I am reading Scorpia Rising by Anthony Horowitz and I'm on page 80. This book takes place in most of England. So with Horowitz being a British native, most of his research would be on spies. I think some of the research that Horowitz did involved secret services. This is because the story's main character is Alex Rider, a British spy.

The title of my book is Blood Is Thicker and the authors of my book is Paul Langan & D.M Blackwell, the page am currently on is 124#. In my book before the authors wrote this book they probably had to think about how to find a way to bring cousin together and how to find gang violence and used all that for a conflict. And the reason why I say that because sometimes it’s hard to find conflicts or make up one especially with cousin’s situation it’s hard to find a problem then solve it.

The book I’m currently reading is called diary of a wimpy kid.my author who made this book really didn't have to much research because, this is just a everyday thing that can happen in everyday life.this story takes place at the beginning of the school year.they did this so they can be cool like the other kids.

The book that I just finished reading was called Death by Latte by Linda Gerber. My author would have had to research how the CIA does things and also plenty or escape tactics. This relates to my book because my book heavily involves the CIA and how to escape from them when they're after you. The author had to know how the CIA works and the technology they use to do what they do. She had to research many tactics aswell.

The book I am currently reading is called "Torn" by David Massey and in this book I am currently on page 51. If I could guess what the author of this book researched before writing it, would probably be army work. In the book so far, Elinor is in the army and while she's there, in the book, it is very detailed about her surroundings in the book. The author is very detailed throughout the story to how she wakes up to when she goes to bed. So far I am really interested in this book!

the book I am currently reading is puppy love by destiny and Catherine hapka and I am on page 152. the author would have to research some information about the good qualities in a person because Lauren is falling for Adam, but she didn't just fall for him, she feel for his qualities. also they might have researched a good connector, as in a way to get two people together. the author needed a way to connect the two, so they used a puppy center. the book also needed to have a main story line other than the love portion.
@snolen6 ive heard of that book, may consider reading it.
efreeman5 that book is good
