The book I am currently reading is the lightning thief. I am currently on page 280. The author of this book is Rick Riordan. The book I am comparing and contrasting to is A Day no Pigs will die. Some reason how they are alike is that they both are a mystery; you wouldn’t know what is going to happen next. Some reason how they are different is that a the lightning thief is about a boy trying to save his mother while a Day no Pigs will die is about how he grows up and become a man.

I am currently reading Clone Codes written by Patricia C. McKissak.
I am on page 112. The book I am comparing and contrasting is Dark Life. They are alike because they both are futeristic. They differ because the idea of the future is different. In Clone Codes the future is full of technology with cyborgs, clones, and robots. The idea of the future in Dark Life is underwater and they have less advanced materials.

The book I'm reading is Any Red-Blooded Girl by Maggie Bloom. I'm on page 132. The last book I read is Crossed by Ally Condie. Both of the books' protagonists are teenage girls. Also both books' setting is taken outdoors and in nature. They are different because the main character in Crossed, Cassia, is very strong and is a leader, in Any Red-Blooded Girl, Flora, is really shy. Also Crosed takes place in the future while Any Red-Blooded girl takes place in the present.

How they are simlilar is they both are fighting for freedom. Also, they are both books in a series. How they are different is the Scorch Trials is a sequel and the Mocking Jay is the final book to the series. They're also different because in the Mocking Jay the main character is a girl while in the Scorch Trials the main character is a boy.

I have currently completed the book The gardener by S.A Bodeen. The similarities these book have are that they both focus on a main character trying to be a hero. Also, both stories have a supernatural Antagonist. Two differences that show the most in these two books are that the situation in both books are in different levels, in The Gardener, the situation is solved in a smooth way, in Daniel X, it has some what of a cliffhanger at the end. Another difference is that both stories have a different environment, The Gardener has a very eerie environment and Daniel X always has action.

I just finished My Fair Godmother by: Janette Rallison. The book I am comparing is Secret, Lies, and Algebra by: Wendy Lichtman. Both books have two sisters that are the main character and the also can compare by meeting a crush in school. They are different because My Fair Godmother is not a true story but Secret, Lies, and Algebra is based on a true story. Another reason why they are different is Secret, Lies, and Algebra main character goes on a date with her crush but in My Fair Godmother she does not.

The book I am currently reading is “Varjak Paw” by Dave McKean and I am on page 21. The last book that I read was “The Old Man and the Sea.” Two reasons both books are similar is both main characters are males and both books have a male author. Two reasons they are different is that “Varjak Paw” is a story based around a cat and “The Old Man and the sea” is based around a old man. Another reason is that Varjak lives in a house with his owners and the old man lives alone in his house by a dock.

I am reading Malice by Chris Wooding. I am currently on page 26. I am using The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins to compare and contrast. One comparison is that both stories are very suspenseful. You are constantly wondering what is going to happen next, and it keeps you on the edge of your seat. Another comparison is that the story focuses around kids who are in danger of death. A contrast is that the ways the kids die are different. In Malice, a ritual is performed, while in The Hunger Games, they are forced to fight to the death. Finally, another contrast is that Malice takes place in the present, while The Hunger Games takes place in the future.

I am currently reading "The Andromeda Strain" by Micheal Crichton. I am currently only on page 5. Although I have not read much, I can still tell some differences and similarities. One difference between "The Andromeda Strain" and "IQ" is that in "IQ" the characters personally know the president, while in "The Andromeda Strain" the characters do not seem to know the president. Another difference is the threat in "IQ" is terrorism, while the threat in "The Andromeda Strain" is disease. Both stories however, have huge threats of death.
