"Surviving Antarctica: Reality TV 2083", By: Andrea White, pg. 291
One thing I like about this book is it's technology, because it is cool and futuristic.
One thing I dislike is how much the government plays a role in the chances a child has for a good education, with things like a luck game to determine if you get to go to high-school, or watch Edu-TV to learn.
The name of my book is called twilight. And it is by Stephanie Meyer. I am on page #129.One specific think I like about the book is the drama and the romance between Edward and Bella they have a real connection. One specific thing I don’t like about the book is how everyone is on and off like one minute their friends and then next minute their arguing like make up your mind. On page 22 its says” I hate when you have to tell me something but you want. Then 2 minutes later their all friendly and buddy.”

I like when the books are detailed to so you you know a lot about the book.But what is the title
@kherring2
I'm reading allegiant by Veronica Roth. I'm on page 67.I really like the action in the book. I don't like the theme in the book its really dull.
Anonymous cbruck6
You must really know a lot about your book that's really good.
@kherringg2
Cbruck6 sounds like a good book
Kherringg2 sounds really good hope you enjoy
So I just finished Infinity Rings. the author is James Dashner. The thing i liked about the book was the theme. it was a ending of the world, bad government book. sera says that the world is ending by natural disasters, the SQ, and rising crime rates.
The ting i didn't like about the book was that all of the action doesn't start until the 100 pages.
@Kherring2
sounds cool
@rpollock2
I might just read it.
I am currently reading 'Just One Day' by Gayle Forman and i am on page 233.
What i like about my book is how Allyson finally starts to let loose and has fun. Allyson meets this boy and he kind of gets her out of her comfort zone and shows what there is to come. What i don't like about my book is how her friend gets jealous about Allyson having fun when her friend told her she should let loose in the first place. Her friend gets mad at her for wanting to go to another country with a boy she just met. Allyson tells her that shes the one who wanted her to have fun so why wont she let her have fun.
@nlewis5 that seems like a good book :)
@cbruck6 that seems very interesting
The book that I am currently is Torn by Margaret Peterson.I'm on page 207. The thing that I like about the book is that someone that I learned about is in there. The thing that i don't like is the time travel. I like history but I never like books with time traveling in it. Science fiction is not my type of book.
I am reading The Heritage of Music by Katherine B. Shippen and Anca Seidlova. I am on page 238. What I like about the book is that it interests me with facts about how music was created and the history behind the composer. What I dislike about the book is that each page has lots and lots of writing in small prints. I do enjoy the book a lot but the print and how many pages of long, long words can be a bit annoying.
@Arodriguez6 Sounds like an interesting book!
@Cbruck6 Sounds like my type of book, would like to check it out. Plus the author has my first name haha!
@cwright6
Sounds interesting.
@AHolich1
I would love to know more about the history of music.
One thing I like about The Lord of the Flies is when they find out about “The Beast”. I like the part when they find out about “The Beast” because “The Beast” is a monster rotten pig that the tribe introduced to the four teenagers from Great Britain. “Ralph! Wake up!” The leaves were roaring like the sea. “Ralph, wake up!”, “What’s the matter?”, ‘’we saw…the beast, plain”… “We saw the beast-.” One thing I don’t like about the book is when in the beginning when two of the teenagers meet up after the plane crash. I don’t like that part because one of the teens because he talks too much and gets very annoying. “…”All them other kids,” the fat boy went on. “Some of them must have got out. They must have, mustn’t they?’’…’’
I'm reading "Warriors" by Erin Hunter. I'm on page 129. One thing I really like about this book is that the characters are talking animals. One thing I don't like is that there are some hard vocabulary for me. I also think it is little long for me. I'm enjoying this book.
@Arodriguez6 I want to try you're book!
@jlross1 good work!
The book I'm reading currently is called "The boy problem", I am currently on page 183 and the author is Kami Kinard. I like this book because it is so funny. The main character is hilarious, along with her friends Kara and Tabbi. One thing I hate about this book is how long it is. I hate long books because they take to long to read. I like books with lots of pictures and very few words.
@kherring2 I agree i love all the drama in that book but they do fight to much also.
@rpollock2 I agree with you, I think your book sounds kinda dull. If you don't like it maybe you should read a different book.
The book I am reading currently is The Secret of Rover and the author is Rachel Wildavsky. I’m on page 299. One thing I like about my book is the suspension and action in the book. It makes this book seem a lot shorter and fun to read. One thing that I don’t like about this book is that the first few hundred pages talked about the same ride and the same adventures, which I found really repetitive. But although there’s that one minor thing that I don’t like about the book, it’s really good and I highly recommend it.
arodriguez6 I like sci-fi, so I'd probably be interested in checking out the book
AHolich1 That seems like a good book!
the author of my wonderful book is Mike Lupica. he wrote "the underdogs". i'm on page 247 of this amazing book. one thing i do't like about in my story is the location beause his school plays on the same field every one else does in his town. that field is nasty and real deal ugly looking the grass is dark brown cause no one cares for it. also it has big old holes in it where people could severely brake thir ankles or knee and beout the game for a very long time. that is one thing i don't like in my story "the underdogs".
@Aholich that seems like a good book.
@Arodriguez i enjoy sci-fi i'd love to check out that book.
I’m reading Marc Aronson’s book “Witch Hunt“. The page I’m currently on is, page 134. In “Witch Hunt”, one thing that I enjoy is the suspense that the book has when it is describing how the witch trials were. The book states that the trials had a dark atmosphere lingering in the air, I enjoy this part because you feel like you are there. Something that I don’t like is throughout the book it just describes how people (mainly children) were always telling lies and accusing others of witchcraft. In my opinion, it gets boring after a while because it just talks about everybody tattle telling on everybody in Salem. “Witch Hunt” is still a fantastic book.
@mdinh6 Your book sounds adventurous !
@sscott6 "The Underdogs" sounds like a good book.
I am reading The Haunted Museum by Suzanne Weyn and I am on page 78. The one thing I like about The Haunted Museum is that the origin of the story is Emma (the main character) has a music box with a mirror sent to her by the museum, on top of that that certain mirror has the same exact finger print she left back at the museum. A quote to support his is "Peering more closely into the box, Emma gasped. The thumbprint she left on the mirror was right there."(21)
The one thing that I don't like about the book is that the book was not what i expected it to be. The book is great, however when I read into it I realized that this wasn't what i expected but it has me attached to it.
@mwaters6 nice job, that sounds like a good book
@sscott6 I'm going to have to check that book out
My book is Kingdom Keepers: Disney at Dawn and I'm on page 160. One thing I like about my book is that it is magical. There are Disney characters at every corner of my book. Villains like Meleficiant. Heros like Tinker Bell. One thing I don't like about my book is that it is too long. It is exactly 377 pages long. But I'll get there.
@mwaters Sounds interesting.
I am on the very last page of the book Middle School Save Rafe by James Patterson. One specific thing I liked about the book was that it was about a middle school aged boy. Another thing I liked about the book, is that the boy had to go to camp and do alot of tasks. One thing I didn't like is that there was not alot of action. Another thing I did't like about the book was the name of the school.
@hkim1 Talking animals are cool.
@rpollock2 Action is good
Its by Ridley Pearson
@jfox Sounds good.
The book that I am reading is The Lost World by Michael Crichton. I am on page 116. One thing that I like about this book is that it has a lot of dinosaurs. One thing that I don't like is it is nothing like the movie. The movie is a little more exciting but the book has more details. I like dinosaurs a lot because I they are really cool and exciting.
The book im reading is "The Juvie Three" by Gordon Korman and im on page 108. One specific thing I like about this book is that it has alot of action & mysteries.The events in this book are very exciting and it could be sad in some ways. One thing i dont like about this book is that you have to wait for a long time to find out something and I really be wanting to know what happend.
@jroach i seen the movie
@JFox4 what grade was he in?
Kingdom Keepers sounds like a good series because I go to Disney a lot.
Right now I'm reading "Sanctum", written by the author: Madeleine Roux, and I'm on page 154. What I really like about this book is the mystery and the paranoia. For ex., "Dan wasn't sure which was worse-the idea that he was actually being haunted or possessed or whatever, or the idea that this was all in his head." (p.133). I just love how these parts in the book gets you impatient and frustrated to find out the answers to this mystery! What I don't like about this book are the parts when Dan and Abby are together, and all the romance stuff. For ex., "'We just never really defined what we are. Sometimes it seems like things are great, but sometimes it feels like we're not even really a couple...'" (p.112). I honestly don't like the romance slipped into these horror/mystery stories, it should just be left alone and keep the characters just friends.
mwaters6
The Haunted Museum huh? Sounds interesting with Emma's backstory!
Jdaies2
The Boy Problem is a perfect title for the funny book! I've read and I TOTALLY agree!!
The book I am reading is called Gathering Blues by Lois Lowery and I am on page 200. One thing I really like about this book is how Kira shows everyone how she can do anything with a twisted leg. She accomplished more then Vanessa ever did. Kira is now the Gatherer and Vanessa is still the same girl she was before. Two things I didn't like about this book was how slow it went and how the trial was like five chapters long. When books go by slow, it makes the reader not pay attention as much. I didn't because the book was slow. And also each activity or main idea in one area, it was very long. For example the trial.
cwright6
I really look forward to reading that book! That's going to be the book I read next!
dnazariorodriguez2
I have heard about his book, I wonder if its good.
My book is called trackers and I am on page 153 Patrick Carman. One specific think I like about the book is the technology like the computers
and phones and how they are futuristic. Another specific thing I like about the book is the hacking like when they start to hack the vending machine. And specific thing I don’t like about the book is how the main character is annoys in both the fist and second book. Another specific thing I do not like about the book is that one of the characters that is described as me is beryl mentioned .
@mncolton2
i like your description
@lrepp4
@jroach5 i like your description
I finished the book Lone Wolf. I like how detailed it was because detailed books help you see and understand better what is happening. I don't like how it was to short.
One specific thing that I like about my book, is that I can relate to it, and it has very good details. Cat grew up in New Orleans, and I’m from New Orleans. The author describes Cat in a way that relates to me. We have the same amount of sisters and brothers. One specific thing that I don’t like about this book is that she is “on the run”, from her killer, (Rafae). I really don’t like the details that are given in the book about him. He is controlling and disrespectful. Other than that, I really think that this book is “awesome”!
I am reading The Land of Stories the Enchantress Returns by Chris Cofler I am on page 485. One thing I really like about my book is that all the fairy tales I read as a kid are in this book, and you get to know them with a new interesting twist. For example in the book on page 416 it says,” Doc opened the door to see his old brother that he hadn’t seen in years, Rumpelstiltskin”. I didn’t think that the 7 dwarfs had an 8th brother but in the book it they do. As for one thing I don’t like about the book is nothing. I have really enjoyed this book and there really isn’t anything that I can name that I dislike about it.
arobinson2 My book also has great details that I really like.
zlstevenson23 My book also has a lot of mystery and action but mostly action.
I am currently reading “Life As We Knew It” by Susan Beth Pfeffer and I’m on page 179. One thing I like about my book is that there is a mystery feel to it. I really want to find out if the characters survive in the end but that’s what is keeping my attention while reading it. Something I don’t like about my book is that characters keep leaving the story. Some characters die or move away so they aren’t in the picture anymore.
@cscott1 I bet that book is good because you can relate stories you have already read to it.
@arobinson2 That sounds like a good book.
@nlewis5
I really enjoyed the first book, never got to read past the first though.
@ rpollock2
I agree with you, the Divergent series got really boring after the first book, Divergent.
Life As We Know It sounds like a good book.
The book I am currently reading is..."Hurt Go Happy" by Ginny Rorby. I am on page 45. One thing I really do like about my book is how it goes into deep detail about everything. One thing I hate about my book is that it gives details about everything and everybody besides the main character. It only touches the obvious things about the main character. But I still love my book. It's amazing and very interesting.
@ajoseph5
Susan Beth Pfeffer is an amazing author. You will love her books.
I'm reading The Cardturner by Louis Sachar and I am on page 130. One thing I don't really like about the book is how slow it is. I mean I don't like books that are too slow because then I get bored. And also I don't like books that are too fast because then I have to reread and don't understand what's happening but the book is more on the slower side. It should get more to the point then beating around the bush.
zwiggins2 Usually I enjoy books with detail.
@arobinson2
This sounds like an interesting book Antaja. You must really be enjoying it.
@Brivera4
I do as well.
I’m reading beyonder by Brandon Mull I’m on page 187. One thing I like about the book is that it is from the viewpoints of teens. The two teens are Jason and Rachel ones a normal kid the other is home-schooled and has traveled around the world. One thing I don’t like is that there are parts that are very predictable. Not everything is like that but there are portions that are.
hkim1
I read that a while ago and got bored really fast.
The author of my book is James Howe I am on page 102 and the name of my book is called “Addie on the Inside”. The main thing that I hate about this book is that it’s only told from one person’s perspective. I feel that this is bad because if it was told by her friends as well he book would get more in dept. The one thing that I love about this book is that it’s interesting and you never know what’s going to happen next which makes me want to read more. This definitely wouldn’t be the last time I read a James Howe book.
cbruck6
That seems like an interesting book
@ zwiggins2
I love your description and I just might have to go check out that book when you're through.
@brivera4
I love your description nice work!
The book I am reading is called 'Percy Jackson and the Olympians The Lightning Thief' it is written by Rick Riordan, and I have finished reading this book. A specific thing I don't like about this book is that after all this time Percy still doesn't save his mother and ask Zeus to tell Hades to release her. This is a specific thing I did not like about my book. A specific thing I like about the book is that Zeus's Master Bolt was in the backpack given by Ares to Percy. Ares was convinced by a Luke, another demigod that turned bad by Kronos's power. Ares then planted the bag on Percy, which contained the bolt. This is a specific thing I like about my book. These are specific things I liked and didn't like about my book.
@jfox4 That sounds like a cool book I might consider reading that for the next mini project.
@dnazariorodriguez2 that sounds like a cool book I enjoy Disney movies so I might enjoy that book.
I am currently reading Allegiant by Veronica Roth and I am on page 108. I really like that the book is in both main characters perspective. For example one chapter would be like Tris talking and what she’s thinking and the next would be Four talking and what he’s thinking. I also like that its full of action and it never gets boring. Like the part I am on right they have just escaped the city and Amar is on the other side but he is supposed to be dead. Something I don’t like about this book is the betrayal, there is so many people turning and lying on each other. Or betraying family members for their new fraction but it adds excitement of the book. For example Tris brother betrayed her to have a good image with his fraction leader.
@tmodican5 your book sounds like an interesting book!
@ajoseph5 your book sounds like a good book.
My book is called I Funny by James Patterson and I finished the whole book.One thing I really liked about the book is that the main character (Jamie Grimm) was a comedian but he had real life problems.For example his parents and his sister died in a car accident and he is in a wheelchair because his legs are paralyzed.One thing I didn't like about the book is that the book was supposed to be funny but the jokes were really lame.I probably wouldn't read another book from this series.
@awhitfield4 Sounds like a really good book
@mncolton2 sounds like a really good book.
I am currently reading Time Between Us by Tamara Stone and I am on page 54. One thing I really like about this book so far is that one of the characters can time travel. For example,"Younger than the first time I saw him..." she went back in time to give him a letter to ensure that they meet in the future. One thing that I don't like is how this one moment will decide Anna's and Bennet's future. he could get the letter and understand it but he could also not. If he brushes it off then they won't ever meet. For example, "What I just did could change everything, or it could change nothing."
tmodican5
That seems like a really good book!
ISwarts4
I might have to read that book! It sounds REALLY good.
My book is Enders Game by Orson Scott Card and I am on page 142. One thing I really like about this book is the futuristic aspect of it. I like this because it talks about thing that could happen but we haven’t got that good with technology so it probably won’t happen. I also like the fact they are defending the nation against aliens. I don’t like the fact that people bully Ender just because he is smarter than them. They make fun of him because he is better at everything they do.
tmodican5 your book sounds really good.
@drivera4 i totally agree. The jokes in that book are really bad.
The book I am still reading is “The Grimm Conclusion” by Adam Gidwitz and I am on page 281.This book is a really good book so it’s going to be hard finding things I don’t like. One thing I like about the book is that is like a sequel of a book I already read. What I don’t like about the book is that it’s a little too gruesome for me but its fun to read. It kind of gave me a way to escape reality. So that’s why I love this book.
My book is WereWorld Rise Of The Wolf By Curtis Jobling. What I like most of in this book is the time it takes place in. I like medieval time books because they are much more easier to understand. Swords, bows, kingdoms, wars, it's all really simple to comprehend and there is no technology and all the struggles to understand modern day things. Medieval times is all about survival and becoming something, from nothing.
I'm reading Rules by Cynthia Lord and i am on page 186. One thing that I really enjoy about this book is that the characters are so different. What I mean by that is each character is so different that you could relate to all of them in different ways. But one this I dislike about this book is the main girl that is speaking (Catherine) is hard to understand most of the time. But over all despite that reason I really like this book.
@csmith1 That book seems really good!
@lrepp4 I was thinking about reading that book.
The book I just finished reading was "Michael Vey: The Prisoner of Cell 25" by Rchard Paul Evans. One thing I like was the way Michael Vey was tortured. Tara caused him to see very scary things that made him almost go insane. One thing I disliked was how Jack and Wayne were forced to be human guinne pigs.
KKimbrough1
Your book sounds very interesting
Snolen6
Your book sounds like it is a good read.
The book that i am reading is "Ranger's Apprentice" by John Flanagan. One thing i like about this book was that Will was trying to catch the horse. One thing i don't like about this book is that Will almost couldn't be an apprentice.
I have finished reading Suzanne Collins’ The Mocking Jay. One thing I love about my book is it is more detailed than the movies and is action packed it will grab you and wont let go. One thing I don’t like is that they made Peeta go crazy. I loved his personality. I also hated the ending because Prim dies and she is my fave character because she is caring and she learns to grow up with responsibility.
I am reading brains winter by Gary Paulson and i am on page 15. one thing I really like about my book is that the author does a great job of describing what the main character feels and what he thinking. one thing i really don't like is how the main character is all alone. he is all by himself in the woods like why couldn't there be another person with him there it would be more exciting.
The book I'm currently reading is Making The cut by Margaret Gurevich and illustrated by Brook Hagel. I'm on page 128 and, so far, the book is decent. I'm not exactly sure why I'm reading it, but it's ok for the type of book that it is. The thing that I really like about this book is the illustrations of all the designs mentioned. Its about this teenage girl named Chloe who's competing on this fashion show. "The majority of the necklace is studded with crystal accents. I made the center piece a circle with smaller pieces dangling from it, like a dream catcher." On the next page is an image of the necklace she just described. one thing I don't like about the book is how frilly and girly it is. that is really annoying sometimes.
The one thing that I don't like about my book is that is is based on alot of birds. The book could be a lil better on birds.The title is ok. The book could've had more facts. The book isn't good.
csmith1 I heard about that book. Maybe I'll read that next.
SNolen6 Maybe one day we can all time travel.
My book is Red Kayak. I am on page 201 and it is by Priscilla Cummings. One thing that I really like about my book is how the main character did the right thing and told the police what his friends had done. One thing that I didn't like was that Digger, the one that committed the crime, bossed around JT so much that he forgot that he had a choice and ended up helping Digger. This book was very good and I was happy with the ending.
tfolson6 That sounds like a boring book to me.
klynch4 I heard that that book is really good.
I just started the book called “Percy Jackson and the Titan’s Curse” by Rick Riordan, and I’m on p.35. The thing I like about my book is that it’s full of adventure and I like how the author recreate the Greek Olympian world. For example, on p.16, it says, “WHIIIISH! A second projectile shot from somewhere behind Dr. Thorn. He didn’t appear to move. It was as if someone invisible were standing behind him, throwing knives.” It shows that this book is full of actions. One thing I don’t like about my book is that it’s kind of slow-paced with a lot of details. But still, I enjoy my book and highly recommend it!
@cwright6 That seems like an interesting book.
@cscott1 Your books sounds like a fairy tale twist. Maybe I'll read that next.
I am currently reading Rules by Cynthia Lord and I am on page 175. What I like about this is book is about this girl the main character Catherine helping a boy that can't talk. She gives him flash cards every week when they go to the doctor because her little brother has to go every week and she goes too see that boy. But what I don't like about the book is that it is extremely boring she doesn't do anything interesting I usually like action,adventure books but this is whole another level of boring it just a girl making flash cards for a boy and rules for her brother pretty much the whole book. I going to take this into consideration next time I another book.
@lpark1 This sounds like a book I would read.
@dgross4 Wow that sounds like it a good book I might also read that next
The book I am reading is called jungle of bones. I like this book because it has adventure. I also can relate to the character. This person who is finding a lot of action getting to the war bird. I would recommend this book to anyone.
ipark1 That is a good book.
dgross4 Your book is interesting.
The book I am reading is called Game Changers: Play Makers by Mike Lupica and I am page 12. One thing I really like about the book is that it’s realistic fiction because I like to read books that could happen and this book is about sports. One thing I don’t like about this book is all the talking between the characters even on page 12 there has been a lot of talking between the characters and its very confusing and you can’t who each character is talking too. The last book was good so I am expecting the same for this book. I like realistic fiction because of the fact that it could happen in real life.
ale2 I hope your book becomes more interesting and I hope you pick a book that interest you next time.
JFox4 the next book you pick see if their is action and make sure you want to read the book.
The book I'm reading is The Loyal Virginian by George Finkel, I'm on page 236. One thing I really like about my book is that it is about a colony in Virginia and in my civics class we are talking about the colonies. ".....I'll stay in the ship and look over this colony of yours." (page 111). I like that I'm learning about what I'm reading in school. One thing i don't like about the book is that it is over the least amount of pages I have to read, 150 mine is 282 pages. Being over the 150 limit least of pages is ok and not a big deal , but i would like to move on to a new book considering that I don't read books that fast because I don't read often and might fall behind.
lpark1
I read part of the 1st Percy Jackson book ,but i never got around to finishing it.
GKloeppel5
I agree realistic fiction makes good stories.
The book I'm currently reading is Cosmic by Frank Boyce. I am currently on page 112 of my book. So far my favorite part of the books is its theme on how someone's looks don't necessarily determine your personality. The one thing I do not like however, is how it's set in London and uses a lot of British terms and slang that I don't quite understand.
killer pizza the slice by Greg Taylor and i am on pg 327.i really like the fact that its a company that deals with imaginary creatures that are real in there world.the one thing i don't like is how many pages it is.i would recommend this book to people that like a lot of twist and mystery's. if you like long mystery books then this is your book.
jwinfrey5
i totally agree with the fact that looks don't mean personality.i know a lot of people that look different then their personality.
GKloeppel5
my book also has a lot of confusing parts.there is lot of talking between charecter in my book too.
I’m currently reading a book called Better off Friends by Elizabeth Eulberg and am on page 50. So far one thing I really like about this book is that one of the main characters, Levi, is really respectful of the other main character, Macallan, privacy. Her mother died in a car accident not to long ago and he doesn’t push for her to tell him what happened, he also doesn’t treat her differently knowing about the situation. For example, when Levi is on a date with one of Macallan’s friends, Emily, she brings up Macallan’s mother. However before he responds he thinks about the situation of Macallan’s deceaced mother, “Emily’s unfinished sentence hung over us like a dark cloud. I had always avoided the topic of Macallsn’s mom. I knew I was suppose to say how sorry I was if it ever came up. But it never came up. Macallan always talked to me about her dad, her uncle, and school-but she hardly ever talked about her mom.” One thing I don’t like about this book is the fact that Levi refers to California as his home still, even thought he moved to Wisconsinite over a year ago. I didn’t think the author would have any of the characters be bothered by it or even confront Levi about it but she did. On page 47, Maccallan has had enough and blurts out at him. “You know”- she turned towards me- “I understand that you spent your first 12 years in California, but this is your home now.” It hurts her every time he says that and the author makes that very clear each and every time Levi says that.
SNolen6
That book sounds amazing!
tmodican5
I hate when a book is only from one persons point of view, I want to know what everyone is thinking.
I just finished my book, The Death Cure by James Dashner. Something I really enjoyed is the character traits and actions. What I mean is that the characters moods and actions towards each other are changing as the story goes on. When the people at WICKED turn out to be good, Thomas reacts kindly to them instead of hating them. Something I didn't like is when Newt was caught with the Flare. This meant one of my favorite characters was going to die. Although it made a perfect plot twist, I was still upset.
ZGano5
That had excellent detail and it sounds interesting.
shughes6
Sounds like a creative and imaginative story.
I am on page 142 of "The Last Americans", by Joy Hakim. One thing I really like about the story is the detail. One thing I dislike about the book is the slow beginning. Most of the first 50 pages were just about three boats sailing the Atlantic. I would recommend this to someone who enjoys history.
LBaker2
I've just gotten done reading the first book of that series. I'll make sure to read that one too.
Csmith1
Sounds interesting. Hope you enjoy it.
The book I was reading was Flush by Carl Hiaason and I'm finished with the book. Something I really enjoyed was when Noah and Abby go on there own to try to stop the Coral Queen. While I was reading that part I just wanted to keep on reading and wanted to see if they would get caught. I didn't really dislike anything in the book except the part when Noah's mom thought about getting in a divorce. It would of tore the family apart. But other then that I really enjoyed the book and I recommended you to read it.
@ale2
My brother read that book and really liked it.
@Zgano5
That book sounds good.
I've just finished reading the book, Paper Towns by John Green. One thing I really like about the book is the quotes. So many of the things the author writes into the book have such deep meanings that make you think really hard. Some of my favorites include the quote, "You gotta stop looking up at the sky, or one of these days you'll look back down to see that you floated away too" and when Margo says, "that's always seemed so ridiculous to me, that people wanted to be around someone because they're pretty. It's like picking your breakfast cereals for their color, instead of taste". One thing I dislike about the book is that in my opinion the book is very engrossing in the beginning and the end but in the middle it gets tedious and repeatative which made it exasperating to read.
jbruce2
That sounds like a good book.
Dbeaver2 I agree.
@nlewis5 I've been meaning to read that. Is it as good as people say?
The book that I am reading is “Insurgent” by Veronica Roth. I am currently on page 402. One thing I really like about this book is that near the end, when Tris thinks she is going to die she realizes that, she actually wants to live. Also how she realized how much she truly loved Tobias. On page 400, Tris says, “I am his, and he is mine, and it has been that way all along.” This quote shows that she didn’t realize how important she is to him, and how important he is to her. I would put something I dislike about the book, but it is too great of a read to dislike, in my opinion. But if I had to choose something, it would probably be the wat the book takes forever to get emotional. It is a long read because of how she wrote it, but at the same time she tries to explain every little thought Tris had.
@LBaker4. I completely agree, and I have to admit, a few tears were shed when Newt died.
ZGano5, you've mentioned that book before, and I would totally love to read it; based off of how you described it, it sounds REALLY good.
Lpark1, that sounds like an exciding book, you have to tell me about it when you are done!!!!
The book I am reading is gathering blue by Lois lowry, I am currently on pg 167. one thing i rally liked about this book is it isn't really like any other book. This book is about a girl with a twisted leg who lives in an Utopian society. One specific thing i really don't like about the book is that it took a long time to get to the plot twist and reveal the secrets.
It takes over half way through the book to find out the lies from the council. I am not completely done with my book but the book so far is very good and i would recommend it to people who like the book "The Giver".
esmith5
paper towns sounds very good in the way you described it, i think that will be my next book to read.
ale2
I'm sorry your book isn't interesting maybe next time you should ask a friend a suggestion for what to read.
The book I’m reading is “Flawless” by Sara Shepard and I’m on page 202. One thing I that like about this book is that it’s very suspenseful. For example, they make us think that “A” could be anyone even in plain sight. Even though Hannah, Aria, Spencer, and Emily are getting anonymous texts about secrets only some of them know, so the book makes us think its people close to them. Before we thought it was Ali, Lucas, or Sean. One thing I don’t like about this book is that the description of the characters isn’t what they look like in the TV show. Such as Mona has blonde hair and green eyes but in the show she has brown hair and brown eyes. It confuses me because now since I used to picture them as their TV show characters so I have to remember which one I’m thinking about.
The book i'm reading Star Wars Jedi Quest The Way Of The Apprentice by:Jude Watson.
i'm in page 57 what i like about the book is a lot of actions which make me visualize. What i'm reading. It features Anakin Skywalker(Darth Vader) and Obi-Wan Kenobi. i dislike how they refer to them in the first person point of view.
esmith5 your book sounds very interesting, I want to read it next.
SNolen6 that book seems pretty good.
Some of the things I like about" All the Lovely Bad Ones"is how it always keeps u on the edge of your seat.The book is also somewhat modern.It has lots of things to do with family orrianted. Mary Downing Hahn the author adds a lot of people that try to get them caught up about their ghost story.That's something I don't like about" All The Lovely Bad Ones."I'm on page 163 in my book.
@jbruce2 I have heard of that book it seems very interesting to read.
@lbaker4 Great detail and the book itself seems great. Based on how u described it I would love to read it.
I am reading the book Warriors into the Wild by Erin Hunter and I am on page 197. One thing I really like about the book is that it shows that wild cats might enjoy their life more than domestic cats. This is even stated by the main character. One thing about the book that I don't like is that the cats could be killed. I don't want any of them to die because that would be sad.
The book I read recently is The Rule of Thoughts by James Dashner and I am currently finished with the book. One of the things I like about the series in general is that it always keeps you in the action. It never bores you and it always begs you to keep reading and successfully so. One of the things I don’t like is that it saves a lot of the important plot details until the very end. It doesn’t ease you in and at the end just drops you into a plot twist and forms questions that cannot be answered until you buy the next book. Besides that, I love the series and it is a true breath of fresh air to young adult books.
(Rick Riordan, Magnus Chase and the gods of Asgard, Book one, The Sword of Summer)
I absolutely love this book, like every book he writes. This book in particular caught shows the real facts of the Norse mythology beautifully. The amount of research put into this must have been extraordinary, and I respect that greatly, because I have learned a lot from these books. However it really insanely bugs me that Rick Riordan never fails to do the aggravating cliffhanger.
@GKloeppel5 I don't like when books do that either.
@sclark5 I know. It is so annoying when they do that.
@jbruce2 I agree completely.
@GKloeppel5 Glad to know I wasn't the only one who thinks that is annoying.
I am currently reading "So Human an Animal" by Rene Dubos on page 190 but I will finish it tonight or tomorrow. One thing really amazing about this book that I like is that when this book first came out about 50 or more years ago, these ideas, concepts, and points, must have been Earth shattering. These points would have never been thought of in that point in time but now these ideas are common. One thing I dislike is that, all these ideas are common and not interesting as they would've been. After this time of reading it I feel like this book is just a waste of time now a days.
@ARossi2 Doesn't sound bad at all!
@cpreston2 Mythology huh, what about mythNAHlogy? (AHHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHHHA)
My book, Kissed by an Angel by Elizabeth Chandler that I’ve already finished, is just an all-around great book. But one thing that I really like about it is the realness of it with how quick people can be gone. One second they can be there talking to you and the next they’re gone just like when he was driving and all of the sudden he’s dead. This is a frightening thought but it’s the unforgiving reality we live in. I love everything about this book but if I had to choose one thing that I don’t like about it that would be how he was stuck being an angel and how she didn’t believe angels were real anymore. It was really sad that they were so close but yet so far from each other. When he tried to soothe her his hand would just go right through her. The moment he died and became an angel was the same moment that she gave up on believing in anything.
@esmith5 I can see why you liked those quotes so much, they're very deep
@lrepp4 yeah I agree, boring books that take forever to get to the point are quite annoying and boring
The one thing that I really enjoy about the book Time To Get Tough by Donald Trump is that its full of interesting facts that I had no clue about. For example, did you know that in order for the gas prices to drop as much as it did this year Obama had to tap into the US secret stash of oil made only for emergencies. Obama's polls dropping to me is not an emergency. Also Donald Trump's business has a net worth of slightly over 7 billion dollars. The one thing that I am not a huge fan of is 90 to 100 percent fact books. I admit that I do love books with a lot of economical facts. A book made up of a 100% facts can get kind of boring if your like me at least. Other than that I really like this book.
@SBell4
You are right that is somewhat of a frightening thought to have some one close to you one day then dead the next day.
@RYassin
I have a friend who is really into Star Wars.
I'm reading The Giver currently and i am on page 210 also the author is Lois Lowery. What I really do not like about the book is that how it always seems to cut away from the main plot for too long. I mean this by them introducing something vital to the story then not going over it what so ever then leaving the subject alone for about an entire chapter. What I really like about the book is how the book really goes in to detail about the memories. For instance when he recieved his first memory it went in to great detail about the snow and the sled under him. But other that that I enjoy the book. It was extremely hard to find something that I didn't really like about this book because I really enjoy it
sbell4
I see why you like the book those are really valid and true points.
The book I'm reading is "The Codex" by Lev Grossman and I'm on page 276. This novel is about young banker Edward Wozny, who is sent by his firm to organize a mysterious client's library of rare books. He discovers the client may own a unique fourteenth-century codex. As he becomes involved in the mystery of the codex, he also becomes addicted to a strange computer game that seems to have parallels to his real life. The one thing that I like about this book is that the codex is very mysterious. And the thing I hate about this book is that the game that he is into because I feel like it's unnecessary.
@sharriett4 That book sounds interesting.
kherring2 That book is awesome and a very detailed book.
The book im reading is "Rules" by Cynthia Lord and im on page 97. One thing about my book that i really like is that no matter what happens all the characters never give up and always have each others backs. I like this about the book because it shows how the author feels and how good she/he is on the inside. One thing i dont like about this book is that sometimes it doesn't get to the point of what the author is trying to say. I dont like this because it's very confusing.
@gazam5 very good jod. I love it
@jlross1 Nice details. Good job.
I am reading Steve jobs by Patricia Lakin. I am on page 135, the one thing that i really like about this book is that this person who did bad in school turned his self around and made this company that its logo is in mostly on everyone's device apple. then one reason why i don't like this book is that there is to many confusing technological words that make no sense they should of in parentheses but the English word that everybody knows so that people don't be confuse what the are talking about.
@gazam5
good job

@lrepp4
Same.... I hate when books take a long time to get to the point
In the book I just recently finished, “Things We Know By Heart” by Jessi Kirby, there were many elements in the story that I liked and few that I disliked. To be specific, I liked how the author went into depth with the characters and showed development in the main characters throughout the book. I also enjoyed the surprise plot twists the author included, this made the book a more pleasurable read. The author was also very suitable with her words during certain points in the book, which made the reader get a clear idea of what was going on. However, I do feel that the conclusion to this book was a bit rushed and in the beginning it was sort of unclear to me what was going on since there wasn’t a lot of background information present about Quinn’s situation. But overall, those were some of the only things I disliked about the book.
@DDaniels4
Nice response.
@HHershkowitz1
I agree, books can get a little monotonous when the author takes a long time to get to the point.
I'm still currently reading the book Don't Look Behind You by Lois Duncan pg 147. One thing I really don't like about my book is how April's life changed in a blink of an eye. She went from being a normal girl to having a secretive life. She doesn't really have friends anymore and she won't really have fun playing the game of tennis. Everything has changed for April. It's just like the time I moved from all my friends except I still can get in contact with them.
@DBecker great response
I am still reading the Bully by Paul Langan and I am on page 98. One thing I disliked about my nook was that the Author briefly explained to us about what Darrell's old home and it what it was like. I disliked this because I wanted to compare his old home to his new home to see what was so different about it. But one thing I do like about this book is that its based on Realistic Fiction. I like that the book is Realistic Fiction because realistic fiction is based on events that could possibly happen in real life.
How are the characters in your book on and off and why do they act that way?
@
kherring2
What makes your book hilarious ? @Jdaies2
My book is "The Warlock," by Michael Scott, I'm on the last page, page 359. The thing I really liked about my book was Sophie got awakened in the fourth element of magic, earth. While Josh just got awakened in his third, air. The thing I really dislike is Josh joins Dee and Dare, who are on the side of the Dark Elders. I thought it was so sad how Sophie thought "Josh hates her," when I know both point of views in this story and he was just confused.
SNolen6 that would really add suspense O think, I hope the book goes your way.
Abennett6 that is really sad, I hope you end up enjoying the book.
