I am reading The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman and i am on page 126. If i could take the place of anyone in my book it would be Jack Frost. Jack is the main bad guy of the book and he is the reason that Bod (the main charcter) is living in a graveyard. Mr.Frost is the guy who killed Bod's family and tried to kill Bod. Jack is a skilled assassin that works with other killers named jack. Also all the Jacks have special powers that they use to track and kill their victims. My book is called “The Romeo and Juliet Code”. The author is “Phoebe Stone”. I am currently page 113. If I were to take place of anyone in my book it would have to be Felicity. I would pick Felicity because if I were her as a little girl I would say something about being left with her uncle and grandma. I would say something because I am a little girl and I want to be with my parents at least when I am young because when you’re young you wouldn’t want to be separated by your parents cause they are your parents plan and simple. Also it would be hard to leave my child with a sibling for so long because I would miss my child am sure any parent would.

amartin3 Good Job!

My book is called the 39 clues into the gauntlet by Margaret Haddix and I’m on page 135. If there was any person I would want to be in this book it would be Dan Chalil. I would take his spot because he funny, playful, and a cool kid that all relates to me a lot because he is nothing like his sister just like me. I really like that’s me but just in the book. Dan is nothing like anybody in his family he just wants to show the world what he can do best is play sports and eat candy.

bking3 good job on your blog and thats a real good book your reading.

apossey6 i like the way you told me about your person good job.

I am reading 'The Secret Garden' by Frances Burnett, and I am on page 78. If I could take the place of a character in my book, I would be Dickon. I would pick him because he is really nice and kind to everybody. He loves animals so much that he could understand what they are saying and he knows foxes, squirrels, and birds' nests. Also, everybody, especially Mary thinks he is trutworthy.

@aposey6- Good job!

I am reading Needful Things by Stephen King. I am on page 270
If I had to take the place of one of the characters in my book, it would be Alan Pangborn. I chose Alan because he is the only one who will not but things from Needful things. When The citizens of Castle rock Maine buy things from this news store they are asked to play a prank on another citizen. This eventually sends the town into a chaos. But Alan stays out of it and he will be safe.

I am reading The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald and I am on page 79. If I had to take the place of one character in the book, I would take the place of Jordan Baker. Jordan is a famous athlete. She is the only character in the book who doesn't have something wrong with them. I also like her personality.
@aposey6 That's a really good book.
@bking3 Good job on your blog!

I am recently finished Peter and the Shadow Thieves by Ridley Pearson with 598 pages. If I could be any character in the book I would probably be Peter. Not just because he is the main character but because of his personality. He is very brave and heroic. Peter gets to do some cool things in the book such as flying. I have always wanted to fly. The journeys he takes in the book are journeys that no one gets to experience in their life time. He is a great leader in many ways. He leads in the book and does not follow. He shows bravery and gets to fight shadow thieves. If I could be anyone, I would most definitely want to be Peter.

The book that I am currently reading is Lost and Found by Anne Schraff and I am on page 45. If I could take the place of one of the characters I would take Darcy’s place. I would take her place because she goes through a lot and get bullied a little at school and everyone thinks she is a nerd. Me being Darcy I would show and let everyone know that even though I’m different I’m still here and standing tall. I would say that me and Darcy are a little similar in some of her situations.

The book that im currently reading is The Emperor Of Nihon-Ja, I am currently on page number 429. The person in my book that i'll take the place of is Shigeru. I would take the place of Shigeru because he is the emperor of is country. Also he is the only one that survives in the book, because every one else dies in a war. That is why I would like to take the place of Shigeru.

I just finished reading The One and Only Ivan, by Katherine Applegate. Out of all the characters in this book, the one I would choose to be would be Julia. I would be Julia because she is always nice and responsible and she is an artist. She is also the one who gives Ivan his art supplies, and encourages him to be an artist. She is also very caring and concerned about the welfare of Ivan and his friends.

I recently finished "The House of Hades" by Rick Riordan. If I had to take the place of one character in my book it would be Annabeth. She is smart and sometimes sarcastic with blond hair and blue-gray eyes (like ME). Really, the only differences are that she is a demigod that has a HUGE fear of spiders (I'm obviously not a demigod and I don't fear spiders) and she has gone on some pretty crazy quests (the only "quest" like things I've ever done were go camping and travel with my family, not NEARLY as dangerous). it would be interesting to experience life as a daughter of Athena: always winning with great battle strategy skills, retrieving the Athena Parthenos on a solo quest, having a totally awesome boyfriend. . . Oops. Did I just write that. :)

I am currently reading Confetti Girl by Diana Lopez and I am on page 50. If I had to take place of a character in my book, I would choose Apolonia Flores. I would choose her because she is always asking questions and is wanting to find answers. She and her best friend are like twins and they both are trying to find answers to unsolved questions. I can be like her if I have a question that needs an answer.

I am currently reading Fairest by Gail Carson Levine, and I am on page 163. If I could take the place of one character it would be Ivi. Ivi is the evil queen and I always love villains. Another reason why I would want to be her is so that I would stop myself (her) from treating Aza terribly.

@athomas6
The king in my book is similar to yours.

@Jherrera

He is also the best high school basketball player in the nation. I would want to take his place because his love for his sport is so strong. He is also a very dedicated person to everything he does. He has a laid-back personality that I would like to have.

I would take his place because he goes around and has seen what the city is becoming instead of what others think it is. He also built some of the foundations of the city and repairs it. Bill knows the creator of Rapture and helps by giving advice. He also helps the police by helping them find the gangs and thugs in the city.

The book I just finished reading is The Titan's Curse by Rick Riordan. If I could take the place of one character, i would take the place of Annabeth. In this book, she had to take the sky from Luke, Camp Half-Bloods enemy. If it was me, i would just ignore him and let him die. But she's Annabeth, she has a kind heart, and she still believes that Luke will change. If i was her i would also make sure not to lose Percy at the dance, so Annabeth doesn't disappear. But if she didn't nothing would really happen. I would also like to take Bianca's place. When they were in the desert, she shouldn't have sacrificed herself, she should have let them all fight together. Then i would also want to take Percy's place, to make sure he didn't run off like that, and made sure he convinced Bianca to stay. Also it would be cool to be able to control the sea.

I just finished reading Allegiant by Veronica Ross and it has 526 pages. If I could switch places with any character in the book I would choose Tris. I would switch places with her because towards the end of the book she decides to sacrifice herself instead of letting her brother go on a suicide mission to save the city. In the process Tris was killed and if I switched places with her I would find another way for them to get through the death serum then sacrificing someone. I didn’t think Tris deserved to die even though she did it for love.

For my book, Hide and Seek (by Katy Grant) (completed), the character I would trade places with is Steven Makovic. He is the father of two boys, Ryan and Tyler (Sam and Jack). The whole plot of the book revolves around how he took the boys away from their mom and ran off, and they’ve been gone for a year and a half. I would trade places with this wacko because in doing so, I could not steal the kids, and therefore prevent the book from occurring, but it would also save the kids’ lives from being permanently scarred; one of the boys being hospitalized with an appendix disease; the boys’ mom being traumatized; their family being completely destroyed; the dad being sent to prison; and the main character being hit in the head with a rifle, dropped off a cliff, then forced to walk about 90 miles across a scorching hot Arizona desert. I think that this could be in the best interest for everyone, as you can probably tell.
@LFrank4: nice job! I liked your details, and I think it’s neat that you’re reading a book about art and that the person who you chose seems very involved with creativity, something everyone should try. Great post!
@mrossi4: awesome! I haven’t read that book yet, but I hope to soon. I thought Annabeth’s hair was brown, but maybe I was wrong. (And yes, you did say that.) Nice job!

I am reading kissed by angle by Elizabeth Chandler and I am now finished with it. If I had to be one character in the story it would have to be will. The reason why I would tale will’s place is because first we have one thing in common, we both like painting. Another reason why I would take the place of will is because he is always there for ivy’s rescue when she’s in danger and it feels good to be there for someone, like there own personal superhero. Will is pretty chill and seems like a good vibe to around you so that’s another reason why I would have to take his place in this book.

I am currently reading Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky and I am on page 89. If I were to take place of any character in the book, I would want to be Sam. Sam is very chilled and relaxed most of the time and never really lets anything bother her. She gets along with almost everybody so she has a lot of good friends. She’s also very creative with making up stories to tell people and is very inspirational with all of her stories she tells. I know that because she’s helped Charlie in multiple different situations and always fixes his problems.

I am reading Alliance by Mark Frost and I am on page 206. If I could replace one character, that character would be Will West. He has super human abilities that help him run faster, and heal faster. I am reading Farenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury and am currently on page 87.
The one character I would want to take the place of would be the main character Guy Montag. His character is experiencing many life changing and perspective altering event throughout the story. I believe that the only way to truly understand what he’s going through is to experience it firsthand. I would switch places with Montag if only to feel what he feels, thinks what he thinks. Maybe I would try to handle the problems and tasks he has to with my way of thinking to see if my decisions alter anything that happens so far in the story. It would be the ultimate form of “understanding a character”.

I am finishing up reading One For The Murphys by Lynda Mullaly Hunt, and I am on page 196. If I had to choose a character to take place of I would choose the main character, Carley Connors. The reason why is because she is very brave! Her mom ended up in a hospital for months, and Carley has had to travel to different orphanages every since then. She's brave by being strong and not completely breaking down in bits. Unlike me, if I was in that situation I would've broken down in a hurry.
