Blog #3 Due: Monday 2/22/16


For this post, I want you to write a journal entry like you are the main character in your book (if your book had more than one main character, just choose one of them to do this post). Your journal entry should show me your character's personality through your writing and should discuss the main conflict from their point of view. 
At the beginning of your post, put the name of your book, the author, the page number you are on, and the name of the character you are going to be writing as. After you write this information, you should write the rest of the post like you are that character. Make sure your journal entry is at least 5 sentences.


Remember to comment on two classmates posts.

Next, if your character were on a social media website such as Facebook, tell us 3 things your character might "like." Remember: Likes can be interests, hobbies, organizations, movies, etc. etc. Briefly explain why your character would like each. Make sure your response is at least 5-7 sentences and make sure you respond to at least 2 classmates posts.

For this blog you are going to work on Comparing and Contrasting different text. I want you to use the book you are currently reading and the last book you read to find 2 comparisons and 2 contrasts(differences). Blog #5 Due: Monday 10/5/15

This week I want to know about the main character in your book. 
What is he or she like? Describe his/her personality. How does the author Characterize them? Give one example of the STEAL that we learned in class and tell us what Character traits are present in your character. Are they stubborn, snobby, compassionate, positive, etc.

Remember to post your book's title, author, and page #. Choose two characters from your book and very briefly tell us who they are. Then tell us what actors/actresses you would want to play the parts of the characters in your book if it were to be turned into a movie (you must choose famous people to play the roles). Include an explanation of why you chose each actor/actress.
If your book has already been turned into a movie please choose new actors/actresses to play the roles of your characters. Ex. If you are reading Twilight do not tell me Taylor Lautner should play Jacob.
