Please tell us what has been your favorite part, or moment of Reading Class this year and what has been your least favorite part of Reading Class and how it can be improved for next year. This year was very fun in many ways. First of all it was really relaxed and chill. To be honest, I don't think I had a favorite part of the year. The whole year was full of laughs and it was very entertaining. I guess what I really liked about this year was that you were really nice and let us turn in our stuff even if it was weeks late and I appreciate that.

The best part of reading class was when we did the yoga class. And my least favorite was the binder test. I think it could be improved by not having notebook test and replacing it with something else like a different test. The yoga was fun. It also help me concentrate.

My least favorite part of reading class was when we had to memorize Titania's speech. Honestly i love reading class so I don't think it needs to be improved.

This is my first and last year at fort Clarke and I'm so sad it's ending. I don't have a favorite part of reading class because I loved learning but having fun at the same time. My least favorite part of reading is that I have my class after 5th period and you're not in such a good mood. I don't think you should change anything just try to have a smile each period.

yea that was hard, but I found it kind of fun.
My favorite part this year in reading class in when we did the whole Shakespeare unit. I had so much fun acting it out and doing the music. My least part was when we had to do the group talk for A Day No Pigs Would Die. I wasn't too fond of that. And I really don't think are reading class needed improvement.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite part of this reading class was the first half of the year. for instance when we read ADNPWD and I loved the poem and acting in Shakespeare. Just the atmosphere of the class is amazing. No matter what goes wrong we always find a way to laugh at the issue I could name a few funny ones but I wont. Anyway, my least favorite part of the year had to be the remembering the speech.

My favorite has been when you let us do the cause and effect play. I thought that it was really funny and i enjoyed it a lot. My least favorite is nothing honestly. i guessing its because Ive only been here for 1 month.

I can't imagine the class needs anymore better.I'm just disappointed that we are ending so soon when I just got here. But I hope everyone have a great summer!!

My most favorite thing about my year in this reading class is all the acting we did, it really made me laugh a lot. My least favorite was when we had to do all those notebook test, it really put me to sleep. One thing I would change about your class is the atmosphere in the room. I would change the way it looks and feels.

My favorite moment of this year wasn was the projects we did together.We had a lot of work just kidding. The thing I would look out for is mini projects.There not hard but you might forget.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part of reading class this year is when we acted out scenes in MidSommer Nights Dream by Shakespear. This was my favorite because we got to dress up in costumes and just have fun overall. My least favorite part of reading class was being in class with Scotty. Kellar, Trent, etc. I didn't like that because we lost a lot of priveledges because of them goofing off. Overall this was a great year in Fat City.

My favorite part of the year was when we had substitutes, for no particular reason.My least favorite part was getting an asd. My mom wasn't too happy when I told her what I did. Besides that I liked the days we were allowed to go to the library for the entire class.

My favorite part of Reading Class this year was when we got to work in groups doing the Shakespeare's plays. Also I loved random days when the class was always laughing at nothing in particular. And the cause and effect plays were so funny. My least favorite part was when we had to take the Fair Testing. They were so boring! To improve this class for next year you should have more group activities.

Well I'm in your 5th period, so ,everyday is my favorite day!Mostly because of the odd mix of people in there at one time. I like the yoga thing , it helped a little for FCAT.
My favorite part of reading this year has been the amount of group work we do. I love working with my peers and interacting with them. specifically the group activities where we perform. Then my least favorite would be when we goofed off to much and made a super nice teacher mad. Other than that there is nothing else but i can conclude that this was my favorite class of my middle school career.
ReplyDeleteThis 1/2 was actually really fun! You are a great teacher and there wasn't more than 1 flaw! The thing I loved that there were some days that we chill and fun days, like the yoga class. You always knew how to control the class and make them chill out. The one thing I didn't really like is there was a lot of memorizing things in which, if you had all advanced classes, it was pretty hard. But, I guess that was preparing us for high school.

My least favorite thing I mean things well I got 2 referals from you and like 10 asds and 14 lunch detentions. I think I should stop their with thing I hated. Overall I kind of enjoyed the year

ReplyDeleteThis year has defiantly been my favorite year at Fort Clarke. My reading class is well…… special ,to say the least, and we haven’t gotten to do many of the things that I and many of my classmates were looking forward to. Other than that this has been a great class and we have had a lot of laughs! Overall I loved being in this class and even though we can’t be mature at times we have made a lot of memories together with the best teacher at Fort Clarke. Thank you Mrs. A Thomas!!!
ReplyDeleteThis has been a great year in reading for me. I was lucky enough to stay in this class mrs a thomas is a great teacher, she makes class interactive. My best part this year was really connecting and getting envoled. My worst part this year was having to many friends in this class, which distracted me on many occasions. mrs athomas is a great teacher she really try with us kids one thing ill say to inprove is the level of controll over the students. This has been an amazing year thanks for everything and sorry for anything.

I can inprove by reading more books and getting a better vocabulary. Everyone has something that they can inprove on. I am looking forward to next year but i am going to miss Mrs.A.Thomas and all of her comments jokes and great teaching skills.

ReplyDeleteand when we have the binder tests .that helps me realize that your always suppose to be prepared for any kind of test that comes. all of the note book tests,yoga,and everything else we learned this year helped me realize that i can use those techniques in high school.All of this also helps me concentrate on what i'm doing.

Every year i always have fun in reading class. It was usually always funny and relaxing. The best part of the class to me is when we read ADNPWD. My least favorite part of the year is when we had to do all those poems. A thing that can help the class is more extra credit oppurtunitys, we did not get many this year.

My favorite part is when we would act out stuff, like a midnight summers dream. I also like reading short stories, but I don’t really like answering questions about it. Also I like the vocab quiz that was on the clickers. I like when we did the mini projects for our books that we had to read. This is what I like, but I don’t really have to say anything about what I don’t like.

My favorite part of the year in reading class was when we spit up in two groups and had a debate on the story Tell-Tell heart. I also like the mini projects we had to do and all the activities. but what I really didn't like about reading this year is the BLOGS!!!!! they were a pain and i really didn't like having to do them every week but i got to admit i did like some of the questions you asked.

My favorite part of the year in Reading class would have to be when we do the independent reading. I get so into my book and i get mad when you tell us to stop. The thing that i disliked would be the Socratic Seminars and the Mini-projects. I'm sure many people would CONCUR with me.

My favorite moment of reading class this year was when we did yoga and realaxing techniques. It was a whole period dedicated to realaxing and having zero stress. I honestly don't think I have a least favorite part of reading class because the whole year it has been my favorite and most fun class. It has always gone by so fast and it's at the end of the day so it's the best class to end my day.

I was readin Cinder but i finnished it. The most important word woulod be ball. I chose this word because Cinder wants to go the ball but has no money for a dress. She also wants to dance with the prince at the ball. All the important events in the story happen at the ball.

My favorite part of reading class this year would probably be the class itself. Our class is probably the worst but the best. I bet we are the funniest class you had but the most stressfull to. My least favorite part of this raeding class is probably that we have to leave the great class room. Our class was the funniest class I had in awhile.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part of the year was when we did the yoga during FCAT, Shakespeare unit, and the poem analysis unit. I also liked the quiet days. The day I am doing this blog on is the quietest day all year. Mrs. A. Thomas was also one of my favorite teachers this year. My least favorite part was how everyone was loud and noisy. We missed out on a lot of cool stuff. For example we had to not watch the Lottery video because Mrs. A. Thomas was worried the class could not handle it and sadly I believe she is correct. I have heard about a ton of cool books in this class and will put them into my summer reading list, which is already at fifty or so books.

My favorite part of my Reading Class in A. Thomas was when we were reading A Midsummer Nights Dream, and when we memorized and preformed the monologues. Unfortunately, my least favorite part of the year was all of the annoying kids in the class. Eh, may sound blunt, but completely true. Wasn't a huge fan of independent reading either.

My favorite part of reading class was when we did group projects. I like working together and not having to do all the work on my own. The least favorite part of the class was when we were interrupted by unrelevant comments. Next year I think you should continue making interactive Powerpoints and games like you did this year. I'm a visual person and it helped me a lot.

This is has been my favorite year at Fort Clarke ever! My favorite part of this year in reading class was probably the Yoga. It helped me on the FCAT and i fell asleep during it. My least favorite part was probably getting yelled at for what my class did... and somewhat me. It can be replaced by not having that class again!!!

My favorite part of this class was when we read "A Midsummer Night's Dream". I really liked the story, and it was a pretty easy unit. My least favorite part was having to remember to write to write in print because my cursive was sloppy. That could've been avoided if I hadn't wrote in cursive in the first place. Overall this has been one of my favorite middle school courses.

This year was pretty awesome. There were some bad parts like i didn't enjoy Titania s speech. It was to much to memorize. I did like watching movies and the 38 who saw murder. I also enjoyed the lottery. This year was nice and I cant think of ways to improve it.

I really enjoyed reading class. I loved all the activities that we worked together on. I loved how Mrs. Thomas had a slide for everything she taught. Reading class could not have been any better. My other favorite part of reading class was the Shakespeare lessons.

This year was a fun year, my favorite part about it was well i do not really have a favorite part.But my least favorite part was the notebook test and the socratic seminar, i was never really perpared for the notebook test thats why they were one of my least favorite things of the year. And i don't think reading class should be improved.

It’s sad that this year is almost over and I’m going to miss this class. My least favorite part about it though was the mini project. To make them better I think the due dates should be father apart. Also have a bigger variety of choices to do them on.

The favorite part of reading class this year had to be a number of things but only one negative thing. I would have to say that the first things during this year that was the best was the teaching, Mrs. A Thomas you were one of my best teachers (even though I always forgot my student code, TEHEE)you still taught really well. Also that activities we did were great and included a lot of interaction with other students which was fun. The only negative thing was the vocabulary tests, this is just me because I like those good old paper and pencil tests. I don't think there is anything you should change, I'm pretty sure that the next generation of students will enjoy you wisdom as much as we did. Were gonna miss you Mrs. A Thomas!

My favorite part about reading class this year was learning about poetry. I liked it because poetry is engaging and interesting. It also has different ways to see things and interpret things. I also liked watching a Mid-summers Night Dream. A thing that I didn’t like was learning about what we are now. I think that it is difficult to understand and there isn’t really anything interesting about this unit. You can improve it by doing more activities with it so that 8th graders next year can understand it more.

This year’s 5th period reading class was uh……special but at the same time funny. We had our good times and bad but through all of that we still learned. One thing I enjoyed was when we got to do group work, which was sometimes impossible for our class but we managed most of the time. One thing that I didn’t like was the socratic seminars. Overall, there were more things enjoyed about this year’s reading class than there were things that were not enjoyed. Hopefully none of us come back next year! Eighth grade has been an awesome year. One of my favorite things from this year was all the days where we could chill and watch slideshows and movies. Another thing I liked was all the fun times in class, there were times when certain people in the class took things too far though. One of my least favorite things was how everyone in the class couldn't handle having a sub. Another thing was how almost everyone always got in trouble.

My favorite part of reading class has got to either the Shakespeare unit or the one time we had a debate to tell whether Edgar Allen Poe was insane or did commit murder. My least favorite part was the Titania speech we had to make because I messed up a few lines and it cost a bunch of points. Another least favorite was the fair testing because it was boring and it was way too long. Like there were 500 stories you had to read before moving on to the maze. But over all my 8th reading class was amazing.

My absolute favorite part of this class was the Shakespeare unit. It was really interesting and I LOVED working in groups for our plays, definitely the most fun I've had in any of my classes this year! I loved a lot about your class because there was always something different that none of my other reading classes have done, like sing songs for example. There isn't much I didn't like, aside from the unit we're doing now... It's really boring. I'm so glad to have been in your class, it's made me really like a lot about reading and stuff that I've never really liked. There isn't much I'd change about it!

They were so fun and make sure the class next year gets to do some! My least favorite part was probally taking notes all the time. You can't change that because you need to but it was kind of boring. Honestly, don't change a thing next year. It was so fun and im going to miss it!

My favorite part of this year was all the times we worked together when we were acting bad and told the teacher when it was necessary. This class has been a true journey for me from the laughs to the tears shared together I will miss it all. My least favorite part is when people shouted things that weren’t very appropriate and when people got in Chris’s “kill zone.” One thing you can do to improve your class next year is never show mercy during tug of war because I was very disappointed you guys lost especially after you made me think otherwise. All in all you did a great job, one less asd or two could have made the year better for me but things are necessary and with maturity I understand that know. Thank you.

This year was very fun.But it is hard to choose a favorite since i have you twice as a teacher so I will tell my favorite moments for reading and language arts.My favorite moment in language art. is when we read the book Night.The book was one of my favorite books since I love history very much and it was very suspenseful.My favorite moment in reading is when we did the whole Shakespeare segment.I loved when we did the acting out of the scenes and everything.It was a very engaging activity that helped me learn the characters more and the subtext to.But my least favorite part of reading is when we had to read the plays because it was very hard to understand the whole play.But thanks to you,you stopped and better helped us understand the whole story more.
