I am finished with the book Secrets, Lies, and Algebra and the author is Wendy Lichtman. Wendy Lichtman’s purpose of writing this book was to entertain. ReplyDeleteI am reading Tender.I am on page 67. The author is Valier Hobbs. Her purose in this book is that it is a entertaining book but their is a point to this in the story. The characters life, not everyone has it easy in life. For example her mother died when she was born so her father couldnt handle taking care of a child on his own. So he gives her away to her grandmother Gran. Liv the character who never really got to know her father. Its been 13 years now and something horrible has happened her grandmother has died and now Liv has no where to live so now she is trying to find her father in help of haveing a home and finally getting to know her father.

The author's purpose of this book so far is to entertain the reader with a story of a young girl named Bird. Her perspective on a runaway is even though what they are doing you should still help the ones in need. If you would like to read a story of a young girl looking for her stepfather this would be a good book for you.

I'm on page 119.Her purpose in writing this book was to entertain the reader with a story about a girl who is Matched with her best friend at a banquet.There are many problems with her Match because she thinks she may be Matched with a different boy.There is a problem,and charicters in the story so the purpose is to entertain.

Im reading The Help by kathryn stockett. I am on page 200. The authors purpose was to inform . The authors wanted to tell readers about a specific point in time where african american maids "the help" had to help raise white babies. I am loving this book . It is way better then the movie.

I think the author's purpose was to entertain you with a book that has Greek and Roman mythology with humor, action, and heart. The author wanted to tell you about Greek and Roman god's and their demigod kids with fake adventures. They are fake because they never really happened in Greek mythology.

I am finished with A long way from Chicago by Richard Peck. Richard Pecks purpose of writing this book was to entertain. She wants to tell a story of a boy named Joey, and a Girl named Mary, and a Grandma living a '' normal '' life. Joey and Mary go with Grandma over the years to show them on adventures they do, like going on airplane rides, or dressing up in the 1600s. Also, they build up the story to Joey going to fly airplanes, his dream thing. I liked this book finally, only took me the last 30 pages.

ReplyDeleteI am now finishing with Standing Against The Wind by Traci L. Jones. I think it is to entertain it was a really good book. The point of view was Patrice really wanted to go to Dogwood school Patrice made it and finally got the scholarship it was so amazing. I was so proud of her she did her best and finally got her wish but her mother was still and jail. But now she gets to go to Mississippi and live her dream I love this book.

ReplyDeleteThe book I am reading is called "Monster", and it is by Walter Dean Myers. I am currentlyom page 195. The purpose of Monster is to entertain the reader with the made up story of a kid who is being accused of a crime he didn't commit. The topic in the story is the jucdicical system, and in the story the author has a negative point of view torwards it. The reason I say this is about the judicial system is because the story takes place during his trial. It is an intriguing book and is very interesting to read from the prisoners point of view.

Gwendolyn Heasley's purpose of writing this book is to explain because it show's how the main character, Corrine's life changes from being rich to living in Texas. Her point of view in writing this book is to show that moving away isn't so bad. Moving is basically another way to start a new life, is what the author is trying to say. You should read this book if your'e into drama.

He is a really good author and I hope to read more books about him. And he is one of my favourite authors. This book is one of the best books I have ever read.

It shows how a brother and sister go on an unexpected adventure and fight through tough times with courage, hope, and love. i enjoyed this book a whole lot and i will continue with the series. in the last part of the book there is a 'to be continued'

I am finished with my book TroubleTwisters by Garth Nix and Sean Williams. I would say the purpose of the book is to entertain. The author's perspective is for you to focus on everything that you do. During the entire book, Jack and Jadie only mention the lost of their parents when it was nessasary. At the end of the book they discovered their are troubletwisters, which is an apprentice wizard. Maybe that's how they focused so well.

ReplyDeleteI have read the 39 Clues:The Maze of Bones by Rick Riordan. this books purpose was to entertain. this book is a mystery where two kids, 11 year old Dan and 14 year old Amy are given the choice to either recieve the first clue of 39 clues to make them the most powerful family in the world or recieve one million dollars.The orphaned kids decide to go on the quest with their babysitter/au pair Nellie.They go on the quest and the first go to Pennsylvania. This book had a little bit of information but was mainly to entertain the reader.

The book that i am reading now is Amigas. Written by veronica chambers and i am on page 5. The purpose for writing is to entertain the reader by telling a story about teenage girls throwing a quinceanera. The authurs point of view on how a party is planned is that it is stressful but a rewarding process. Because the author is writing alot about all the details and the different ideas that will make this party great i can infer that this is her point of view on party planning.

I'm reading the Giver, and I think the authors purpose is to entertain. Because so far the main character Jonas is feeling feelings, that doesn't happen in the communities. So he began to feel pressured that something is wrong with him and that he will be "Released". Also the point of view is first person because it is through Jonas' eyes. The author is Lois Lowry. I am on page 42.

I’m currently reading “Swindle” by Gordon Korman. I am on page 107. So far in the book I would say the author’s main purpose for writing would be to entertain. The author does inform a little on certain things but for the most part he entertains. My book is about a boy who gets cheated by a man who knows how valuable a baseball card is but cheats the boy and buys it for 100 dollars. I would say my author’s point of view is that stealing is wrong, however two wrongs don’t make a right.

My author’s point of view on a topic so far is that he loves nature. The first couple of pages are him going on and on describing a wonderful scene of nature. He is talking about the beautiful plants and flowers to the animals. I can tell he loves nature due to the diction in his writing.

I think the author wants people to consider what one event can do to someone. Risa, Connor and Lev have to run from their cops because their parents sent to have then unwound and they didn't want to. The parents didn't realize how this decision would affect their kids.

I have completed the book Interworld and the author(s)are Neil Gaiman and Micheal Reaves. Gaiman and Reaves reason of writing this book was to entertain. His perspective on dimension travel is being shy and curios for anwsers. But later on he realises that he has a lot more then just himself to worry about. If you enjoy reading fantasy and interworld travel type of writing you should read this book.

The reason i think that is because Cap is very kind throughout the whole book and he ends up with a lot of friends at the end.

My book "Boost" is a story to entertain the reader. It's a little bit of both entertain and inform. To tell a dramatic and a touching story about a long journey of basketball for young Savvy Christopher. It entertains because it has alot of jokes and and humor on basketball but also stays serious. It is a wonderful book and i would read it again any day. Book: Boost by Kathey Mackel. i am now done with the book.

It is informing by telling and giving you background information on Kate hope. It’s giving you this information to lead you onto the next part of the book so that you understand it better.
