ReplyDeleteThe book im reading is Halo:Cryptom by Greg Bear, on page 236. The main character of the book is very believable in that he shares his expireince. This is done in great detail by expressing the characters thoughts and feelings through the text. For example while undergoing the brevet mutaion so as to gain access to the Domain, the character explains the agony of his rapid development. He then on occasion uses simile to compare his personal expireance to that of the observed feelings of a similair scenario.

The author makes this book believable by incorporating real life situations into it. Though, what happens in the story isn't something that would happen in our generation, its vivid and its not out of the ordinary. This book isnt' fantasy but has aspects that may be characterized as that.

ReplyDeleteFound by margaret peterson haddix. In the book a boy named Jonah is adopted and try to find out who his friend's, who just found out he was also adopted, real parents are. The author makes the chararcters more believable because the author explained what Jonah and the best friend were feeling/ thinking.

ReplyDeleteCollins makes the characters in her book seem believable because they aren't just black and white. She puts a lot of depth into her characters. There are a lot of shades of grey in her story. Good people that make bad decisions, or bad people that have a good moment or two. She keeps them real.

the book i am about to start reading is shakespeare's inults by wayn f. hill. judgeing by the title, the only character is shakespear. i belive he will be beliveable because of the way the language is used. and besides, it's shakespear! how can you argue with one of the greatest writers of all time?!. and by looking at the insults on the front cover, this is going to be hilarious.

My book is Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher, and Im on page 67. The author makes the characters believable by talking about how the characters feel and what they think. Also, the way they are makes them seem real and they way they talk also makes them believable too. Also, by having the characters do real things and seem like what is going on really might of happened.

The author makes the main character believable by having him experience the same emotions normal people would feel if they were in his place. He is extremely scared and curious about what's happening to him. He is confused about why he is in that situation.

The author makes the characters believable by 'painting a picture' in your head of what they look like, he also uses supporting details, explains everything, and has a lot of dialogue. He also tells us what the character is thinking or feeling.

I'm not quite sure, but I guess it's because the author has studied the main character's past (Ellsworth Duncan, or Zee). The author has a family tree of the Smith Family. That's all I can think of, so I'll describe a little of what's happening so far. Ellsworth is sent to Elizabeth Kerr's house to learn about the last treasure of John Smith. Ellsworth's father told Ellsworth not to try to find it alone, so Ellsworth plans on going with his cousin, Jessica Colby, or Jess.

Finn makes the characters in the book believable because they all have human characteristics like Talia is snobby and picky, and the dress for sixteenth birthday ball, has to be certain type and color. Her governess, Lady Brooke, is also believeable because she does not believe in fairies, and most humans don't..
I am currently reading Lost and Found by Anne Schraff. I am on page 58. The author makes the characters believable by making them have feelings and emotions that you can relate to. When the author makes the reader have visions of the story, its a good way to show and explain what the characters feel.

ReplyDeleteMy book is Artemis Fowl. the author is Eoin Colfer. im on page 224. he gives the protaganist human charachteristics such as hair color. he is super smart and tells all about his own life.
ReplyDeleteI am currently on page 77 of Mockingjay(book 3 of The Hunger Games), by Suzanne Collins. Collins makes the characters realistic by explaining their feelings. I mean you’re not human if you don’t have any feelings! She describes feelings of love by adding how bright red an embarrassed character’s cheeks get. She describes anger by explaining, in full detail, how Katniss slashes at Haymitch with such fury that it still leaves marks after a week has passed. She also puts in full detail, how tense things become in the arena, such as, when Katniss felt very wary about forming alliances. These details make you want to believe that these characters do exist.

The book I am currently reading is Fat Kids Rules the World by K.L.Going and I am on page 8. The author makes the story believable by how they describe the character. For example the first paragraph in the story gives a description of the main character, Troy Billings. I could already picture what he looked like only in reading the first paragraph .

I'm currently reading A Luckey Child by Thomas Buergenthal. I am on page 153. My book makes Thomas real because it is about his life in Auschwitz. At the time he was 10years old. Anyon who wants to learn more about the Holocaust should read this book.

The book im currently reading is Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins im on page 200. The character makes it believable because it is the future and it is things that can actually happen because of people. The things that happen are from peoples fighting. In the book they are fighting for a cause that they want and many people do that in real life. The main character is very strong and leads this rebellion and it is like real life.

I am currently reading Warriors New Prophecy: Dawn by Erin Hunter. I am currently on page 286. I do not really think my characters are believable. My characters are not real, they are talking animals, and the scenarios can never occur in real life, scenarios such as a calling from spirits to travel to a new place because humans are destroying it. Cats of differing clans/tribes talking peacefully are impossible. My characters may be believable in the book but not in real life.

I just began reading Star Girl by Jerry Spinelli! The author of my books is very good at making the characters seem believable and very life like. The story is about people in high school so I can sort of relate to them and they do things I would do. Also, the characters make mistakes and unlike movies and tv shows, humans do make mistakes. This book is great so far and you should really read it!

ReplyDeleteMy book is Diesel by the engine co. of newyork. I am on page 50. and so far this book is really hard to understand. It names all thye engine parts in a diesel engine from the 1800s. So i would not recommend this to people who dont like to learn about old engines.

The book that I am currently reading is Kingdom Keepers 4 by Ridley Pearson. The main character in the book is Finn Whitman the fifteen year old leader of the group of keepers. The author makes him seem believable by presenting him with real life situations,and problems. Also he describes what Finn feels,thinks, wears,and says. So far this book is really interesting and I'm looking forward to reading the next one. By the way I am on page 322.

I'm currently reading Cathcing Fire by Suzanne Collins and I'm on page 300. The author makes the characters believable by showing their thoughts and emotions. Also, she is very descriptive with everything Katniss sees, so you feel like you're there and it's real. Katniss and Peeta's love seems so real especially because it's a movie now. So it's easy to put the characters in the movie with the book and that makes it come alive for me.

She makes the characters believable by explaining their emotions, and the reasons behind them. She gives them personality and makes their lives relatable. For example, Harry Potter has a crush on Ginny Weasley and he isn't sure how the relationship is going to work out. This happens to all of us at some point, so we can relate to Harry and Ginny.

The book I was reading was Iron Thunder by Avi. I am currently done with the book. Avi makes the main character, Tom, real by giving him the thoughts everyone around his age would have. Tom experiences both physical and mental pain during the course of the book. His reactions to these events make the character real.

ReplyDeleteThe last book I read was the Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. I have currently finished it. Suzanne makes the characters in the Hunger Games believable by telling the reader of what the character has gone through as well as the characters main activities that helps them pass the time or survive or to help with their families. One example is Katniss Everdeen, she tells the past of how well her life was until her father died in a mining incident. She explains on how she tries to survive after her mother abandons the family due her being in depression. Also she explains on how she does her job as a hunter and why it is legal for her to hunt.

The book that i am reading is Wich and Wizard. It is by James Patterson. I just finished it. He makes the character act like normal people. Like if one of the characters got scared of something, it would be something that i would probably be scared of too.

The book I'm reading is The Wizard Heir. It is by Cinda Williams Chima. I'm on page 243 and the auther of my book makes the characters believable by giving a set personality in each of the characters. The warrior in the story doesn't suddenly like ponies and dresses. The shy one isn't arrogant at random points.

My book is horror therefore a lot of fear is involved. She describes the fear of the main character as papalyzing to the point where you can't move and thats how I feel hen I'm scared also. She also gives them traits like curisoity, sadness, and joy which makes the characters believeable to me.

i am currently reading Earthborn. The author is Sylvia Waugh. She makes the characters believable by expressing their emtions. Their thoughts on certain situations. For example when Nesta gets puched by a school bullie she pulls you into her thoughts on how she is so confused on what she did to cause such pain. I am n page 167.

ReplyDeleteTitans curse, page 140~, Author Rick Riordan. Rick Riordan puts me in a place where i can understand the characters life. While he does that he talks about their adventures and how ordinary children figure out their demi-gods. I can almost relate to their lives except for the fact that they have adventures and they have powers. It is really cool to hear about the lives of these kids as they venture along,, and Rick Riordan does a good job of describing it.

The author makes the characters believable by making the main character, Sophia, have realistic emotions and life situations. Sophia is a demon and has to stay with her father, who is also a demon, over the summer. While she is living with the council, she has to fight off demon hunters called The Eye. The only problem is, she is in love with a member of The Eye. That is how the author make the character believable by making her go through emotions and drama a teenager could have.

I finished reading The Boy in The Striped Pajamas by John Boyne ( i havn't started a new book yet).The author made Bruno believable because he made Bruno a very naive character, who had no idea the holocaust was happening and why all the people in the striped pajamas were behind a fence.
